I watch Yu-Gi-Oh GX in my mid twenies? yes, and I like it? also yes
To open the context about this, one day while I was in Youtube saw one video that resume all this series and i couldn’t believe all that happen after the first season (that was the season that I watched while I have like 8-9 years old lol) and inmerse myself in this world and watch the season 4 and after that, all the seasons.
Idk why people despise Gx and give all the credits to 5ds to be the best serie of YGO while the both have failings in their stories, like Yusei is the perfect protagonist that save everyone and have almost no emotion. And for me, the best part of YGO 5ds in was the first part, the dark signer, after that is just boring except for a few episodes. And let me tell you, that Gx is the same hahahah a lot of episodes have no sense for the main story and the second season have A LOT of them, the only good thing about the second season is Edo Phoenix.
But I love Judai so much that has become one of my favorite character, just thinking that has a loneliness childhood and just when he enters in the academia have friends again is sad ; ; and he has to saw dying all and live with PTSD and isolated himself in the first part of season 4 to protect his friend is extremely sad. But he raise up and become his better self by the end of season 4 is all I want for this time of my life. And just not to mention that the Opening of season 4 is the best opening ever of YGO and is so perfect for what season 4 was, that is perfect for me. On the other hand, we have the others characters that glow up in some season and after that, their story decline like Edo that only glow up in season 2 or Johan in season 3. Are others character that have a big role in season 1 and have 1/2 of their role in season 4 but in the others season they just stay there and do nothing.
And about favorite season... Well, I love season 1 and 4 so much that season 2-3 feel just filling hahahahah even when the season 3 is so good because we have something so different and so dark for what I know of YGO that I couldn’t belive it. We have a Judai in his obsession to save everyone that goes in a journey to save a person so fucking pure (Johan has no darkness in his heart hahahaha and have to be sealed in his ace card lol) and at the same time, the person he wants to become and adore in a not healthy way, that Judai ends by sacrificing almost all his friend and himself in the way, and believing that he is not valuable for living is just... *chef kiss* and so alike to Tokyo ghoul that is crazy.
Other thing that I love about YGO Gx is that Judai is so shippable that is funny, you can ship Johan with Judai, Majoume with Judai, Asuka with Judai and the list could go on and on. Personally, I ship Judai and Asuka some parts from my childhood and the other part beacuse for the season 4.
Ending all this, YGO Gx was my cure in this time and is actually pretty good (if you see it with subs). Have fails? Yes, like all the series and animes out there

GX Seasons Ranked
Unlike the original Yugioh, this show divides much more nicely into seasons than arcs. With the exception of season one, every season begins its main conflict early and the rest of the season proceeds to focus on that single story arc. I’ve seen some people divide season one into the slew of slice of life episodes that started it off and the seven stars arc, and seasons three into the Dimension World and the Yubel stuff. To put it simply, I don’t agree with dividing it like this. First off, season one has things after the seven stars arc that aren’t their own arc and don’t fit with either previous arc. So dividing the season into those arcs leaves out some actually pretty good episodes (or divides it weirdly in my opinion). Second, dividing the Dimension arc and the Yubel arc just feels weird to me considering how tightly knit they are. You technically divide them but you can’t really divide any of the other seasons in my opinion so I’m just going to rank them based on season. Also, I did watch the show entirely in sub and have not seen much of the dub outside of clips that do not spark joy. So I will be discussing the sub here.
4) Season 1 (The introduction and the Seven Stars arc)
This season isn’t bad, it’s just in last by default since the other seasons have much more interesting stories. I actually don’t mind the fact that a big story takes a while to take form. I think it’s important to establish the characters and their bonds with each other before they’re thrown into some huge story. This is something GX improves upon over the original and so far Zexal. Due in part to the slower pacing, the side characters in GX are all allowed to have their own stories and character development rather than just being lackeys to the main character. They have their own stories to tell and flaws to overcome and that started as early as season one. I particularly like Manjome’s short story arc in the northern school but Asuka, Sho, Judai, and Hayato are each given good stories of their own this season. They even gave a character arc to one of the adult characters, Chronos, having him develop from an annoying villain only there to cause minor conflict to a teacher who genuinely cares about his students and sees that they all have worth, whether they’re “elite” or not. We have this season to thank for beginning the emotional developments of all these great characters. I also do like some of the lighter stories. Hayato’s duel with Chronos was a really touching episode, and Judai’s final duel with Ryo was a good way to end the season. The Seven Stars arc is what everyone remembers about this season and yes, it is pretty good as well. I particularly like the duels against Camula and the stuff with Daitokuji. It’s very fun and thrilling. That being said, this season has its weaker episodes. The first twenty or so episodes are a pretty mixed bag. It was after those episodes that I took a months long break from the show because I just wasn’t interested. I grew to like Rei a little bit in seasons three and four when she came back but her introduction episode does not do her any favours. The same goes for Tania. Thes episodes have a very similar flaw: they creep me out. You can argue Rei’s feelings for Judai were just a celebrity crush type thing but Tania flirting with Misawa when she is clearly an adult and he is a first year in high school was just creepy. I also hate Majome’s “love duel” with Asuka, it’s like the only thing I don’t like about his character. And the fact that his overly strong advances are encouraged just disgusts me. Honestly, Yugioh should just stop writing romance. They’re all either creepy or cringe-worthy and they only managed to make it work once (so far at least, Yuma/Astral is cute but I’m not sure if it’s canon in the anime and I haven’t seen any Yusei/Aki yet but I hear they’re cute.) There are also times when the show is just a little weird that it’s alienating, like that episode with the dueling monkey. I don’t know, I generally allow Yugioh to be weird but that was just… a little too much. Overall, this was a good start to the show although it can be a little too slow at times.
3) Season 2 (The Society of Light arc)
Let’s get one thing clear: this season is a hot mess. It tries to tell three stories at once: the imminent destruction of the Red dorm, the genex tournament, and Saio starting a cult within the school. On top of that, there’s Edo and Kaiser’s stories. So there are five story arcs going on in this season at a time and as you can imagine, it makes the season feel all over the place, especially when certain story arcs overshadow others when they really shouldn’t. Here’s a good example. Saio duels Manjome in the woods and ends up brainwashing him. You’d think that would be a dramatic event that would come up in the next episode and cause conflict but it doesn’t. The other characters don’t seem to care about Manjome’s switch in personality and nothing comes of it for a few episodes as they focus on the Red dorm side plot. It takes twenty episodes for Judai to consider helping Manjome. I know it’s supposed to be a slow-burn realization but it comes off more as the characters not caring about their friends. All these arcs are also very different tonally so slapping them together makes the tone of the season absolutely all over the place. Here’s an example of what I mean: Sho and Kaiser’s duel. It’s amazing, Sho is desperately trying to bring his now jaded brother back to his senses and also keep himself from getting shocked by the collars they’re both wearing. This is a very emotionally intense episode. So how do they follow it up? Judai dueling a rando and Misawa stripping nude and running around the school. Seriously, I posted about those things back to back. Talk about tonal whiplash. That’s another thing: Misawa. I was never that attached to him and some of the meta lines about his fade from relevancy were funny but even I can agree this season did him dirty. There was potential for a good story arc with him but that potential is thrown away in a single scene. The other characters are treated well enough, I loved seeing Chronos fighting to defend the Red dorm and they do a good job showing how far Manjome and Sho have come since season one. Also, Edo and Kaiser’s story arcs really should’ve gotten more focus but when they are the focus, they’re the best episodes of the season. I talked about Sho and Kaiser’s duel with the shock collars nearly making me cry but Edo’s mini-arc season where he does avenge his father and his later connection to Saio are also very powerful. Saio in general was a really good villain. He’s a classic anime case of someone being controlled by some evil force (this time the Light of Destruction), which I’m honestly a sucker for. It lets the character in question be over the top evil but still make them forgivable by the end, so we get the best of both worlds. I love fun, over the top evil but I love tragic evil and redemption arcs as well and Saio balances the two pretty well. He’s not as good as some, one of which I’ll be getting to, but he’s still fun. Overall, this season is really fun but it’s a complete mess. Structurally, season one is the better season but I enjoyed this one more so that’s why it’s getting the higher rank.
2) Season 4 (The Darkness Arc)
Yeah, I love season four. Yes, it’s rushed. Yes, the beginning is boring. Yes, Yusuke Fujiwara should’ve had more development. Yes, Yubel is underused. Yes, Ryo returning was weird. But you know what? I fucking adore this season. I love seeing the culmination of Asuka, Sho, Ryo, Manjome, and Chronos’s growth. I relate to their post high school anxieties and LOVE how they were tied into the final confrontation with Darkness. Those scenes where Sho, Asuka, and Manjome were subconsciously creating their own personal hell in the darkness are so similar to my own anxious thoughts about life after high school that it hit a very personal chord with me. Seeing them overcome it and say the things I personally needed to hear was genuinely inspiring and cathartic for me. It’s only been a week since I saw this and I already think of that triumphant scene where they overcome the darkness when I have my own anxieties about this stuff, it’s that good. From a personal standpoint, it’s my favourite thing Yugioh has ever done. It made me empathize deeply with the characters and goddammit, Asuka’s graduation speech dragged some tears out of me. I’m so proud of how far these characters have come: Sho, Asuka, Chronos, Judai, these are some of my favourite characters in any show. I love the cast of this show so much. For favourite characters from the original, I’d struggle to make a top five but for GX, I could easily make a top ten. Also, about Judai. I’ve discussed him in length but I cannot emphasize enough how much I love his growth, especially in this season. It makes sense that he would be more distant and serious after the events of last season but he evens out by the end, reconnecting with his friends as they go through their stories and regaining his enthusiasm for Duel Monsters after dueling Yugi, which is one of my favourite duels in the season. It doesn’t make much sense but it is so damn cool seeing these two legends clash. The problems with this season do hold it back from being the best but I still really love it.
1) Season 3 (The Dimension World and Yubel Arcs)
What can I say that hasn’t already been said? This is the darkest Yugioh has ever gotten. I’ve seen some dark shows and I went in knowing this arc was messed up but even I wasn’t expecting to go as far as it did: having the main character being forced to kill his friends and fall to evil and kill even more of his friends. Watching the Supreme King, I could hardly believe that was the happy go-lucky Judai I’d known in the previous two seasons. It was shocking but made enough sense with the way they built it up. Not to mention Amon and Echo’s messed up relationship and Ryo’s death. Yes, the latter was reversed but it still felt permanent at the time and was enough to make me cry. His duel against Yubel was nothing short of epic and his sentiment of wanting to leave behind a permanent legacy before his death so he isn’t forgotten is really identifiable to me as a writer. I’m passionate about my work and want it to leave some sort of mark on the world so even when I’m gone, my spirit will still live on in a way through my writing. I can also understand him wanting to feel alive and not just waste away from his heart condition. Overall, it was a fitting end for his character so I was a little disappointed that season four brought him back with little explanation. Still, it doesn’t ruin the scene for me. The Yubel arc is the better of this season by a lot but I don’t want to sell the Dimension World arc short. It was really cool seeing this new world and built up the reveal of Yubel really well. I also really love Johan. He is a total sweetheart with a cute connection with his cards. Honestly, as a side note, the connections the characters have with their decks feels so much more genuine/deep in GX than any other series so far and that is especially evident in Johan. He can actually speak with his cards and considers them his family, hinting that he doesn’t really have any human family. It’s really interesting to me. The other characters are pretty good too. Jim Cook and O’Brien have their own little stories and while they aren’t as good as the mainstays from the previous seasons, they’re still endearing enough, especially Jim. Amon is a hateable douche but in a way that makes you really want to see him defeated, so that was done really well. Seriously, sacrificing Echo was the point of no return for him in my mind. I was happy to see Yubel call him out on that and kick his ass. And then there’s Yubel. They’re a really fascinating character. While it is due to their mind being corrupted by the light of destruction, Yubel believes that the only way to share love is through causing pain. They also have a depressing backstory that is slowly pieced together as they appear more and more. I didn’t mention this in my original post about season three but I actually believe in reincarnation. So I really loved the story of Yubel and Judai having loved each other in their past lives, implying that they’re soulmates. It was interesting, strengthened the final resolution, and it was nice seeing my spiritual belief being accurately depicted. Also, I mentioned earlier that Yugioh can’t write romance. Judai and Yubel are the one exception to that so far. Yubel hurts him out of a misguided desire to show him love and because of the fact that their mind has been warped by the Light of Destruction. Of course, that doesn’t mean Judai is obligated to love them or forgive them. However, it was completely his decision to fuse with them. He had the opportunity to defeat/destroy Yubel but after remembering his love for them, he instead chose to save them and show Yubel what true love actually is. Honestly, I just thought it was sweet and a phenomenal way to end the season.
And that’s the list. As I’ve said, I liked GX more than Duel Monsters so if this list seems more positive than the original list, that’s why. GX was more consistent in quality and had a more well rounded cast. Seriously, Anzu and Honda were there since episode one and had hardly any personality and got no development whatsoever. Compare that to this show’s long lasting side characters: Sho, Asuka, Manjome, Ryo, Chronos. They were completely different people by season four than they were in season one. Hell, they changed immensely between seasons one and two alone. GX’s characters are better than the original and the stories, especially of seasons three and four, are just as good. What’s there not to love?

Bonds beyond time was a work of art bc it showed us this version of Judai we never see before. One that has matured and learned from his experiences, at the same time a competent adult with the knowledge and sense of responsibility to do what he has to, yet also not entirely consumed by his guilt and depression as he was in season 4. He isn’t “cured” but he also isn’t hopeless, he’s regained his sense of joy and excitement even in the sense of terror, the things that made him Judai.
A lot of ppl fixate on Judai in season 4. He’s brooding and serious and standoffish and, to them, this makes him a cool protagonist. Never mind that he is also, at the same time, neglectful, tactless, and above all, deeply hurting. He attempts to vanish from his friends’ lives multiple times, he blames himself for everything and refuses to let others in as to his struggles, handling it all himself. He’s an emotional ticking time bomb. He is serious only bc he has no other way to be. And sure, in a shounen anime, that can come across as cool, but they weren’t exactly trying to make the negative effects of his adulthood depression known.
BBT is wonderful in the way it shows us how he’s moved on after that final duel with Yugi. He’s learned that while yes, as an adult and a person with responsibilities, there are some things he can’t neglect, some things he has to take seriously and put serious effort into, but he’s also learned that he doesn’t have to lose his sense of joy while doing it. There are so many moments in BBT where Judai will go from seriously analyzing a situation to smiling and laughing. It proves he still has the tools and understanding to handle and analyze a situation seriously, while also not letting that rule him. The way he fights fiercely as he know he needs to but still grins and jokes and laughs all the while- that’s the real Judai, the one that was lost in his depression during season 4.
This is also exemplified by his relationship with Yubel. I was always sad that Yubel didn’t appear in season 4 until near the very end, but I think if I give the writers more credit, it might have been intentional. Yubel ends up being the perfect counter to Judai’s newfound cynicism and seriousness. A snarky, sarcastic spirit who back-sasses him as he makes his plays, who knows their role to protect him and assist him but also doesn’t let that duty get in the way of who they are, the personality and the little light sense of humor. In BBT we see them desperately calling out to Judai during the duel, warning him about attacks, while also giving him occasional compliments, comments, or snide remarks. It’s possible to be this way because they have a bond now- a unique understanding, both of them, of their duty and ability and their role, but also an understanding of one another and their personalities, and they feed off it. It’s like two coworkers who have known each other a long time- they have in-jokes, their personalities mesh well, and even in the most serious of times they’re able to keep their uplifted demeanor, they still joke with each other even as things get serious, because they know how to work together.
I think a lot of ppl miss the point with Judai’s character, and the arc he experiences. One of his major flaws during the first 3 seasons is that he does not understand or take seriously the gravity of the situations he gets into- he treats them all as a game. This finally catches up to him in season 3 where his actions have real, genuine consequences. And realizing that is emotionally devastating for him. In season 4, his own PTSD about his situation has turned him into who he is. He’s under the impression now that he needs to take every situation so seriously that he cuts himself off from others and loses the parts of himself that made him who he was, his joy is gone, his humor is gone, all bc he feels that’s what he has to do. And that depression absolutely destroys him, it’s draining to live that way.
What we see in BBT isn’t a Judai who has been fixed, but who has recovered. He hasn’t reverted back to who he was in S1, carefree and without concern, but he hasn’t clung to the mindset he had in S4 that was eating away at him. He’s learned from his experiences and healed, and become a more rounded person because of it.
I can’t help but look at him among the 3 protagonists lined up there and think of how much development he went through, how much he changed. It’s something we don’t see much in Yugioh, bc doing that with a protagonist can be a risky gamble. It can change them from what made them so likable to begin with.
But with Judai, I think it really is perfect. And I’m happy we got to see a glimpse of what he’s like after recovering.

Strong words to use on a Resume

If you have ever had to write a resume for work or for an application, then you know the hardest part is figuring out what type of words to use that sound professional and intelligent.
Example: If an application asks you if you have any relevant experience for a job at a day care center and you have experience, like you have babysat children. You would look at the words in the columns to see what words you should use that will help your resume stand out. You might put down “Have supervised and attended to children on a regular basis.”
I hope this is helpful to you.

Writing Prompts to Get to Know Your Characters Better
I’ve created a list of 48 different scene prompts to get more familiar with your characters and their relationships, that are more fun (in my opinion) than lists of deep questions to ask yourself about them. Feel free to do as many (or as few) if you want. If you answer any, please tag me!
Individual Characters
Write a description of them from the point of view of their best friend or a person who has a crush on them.
Write a description of them from the point of view of a person who absolutely hates them.
Write their earliest or favorite memory.
Design what their Instagram page would look like. (Yes, even if they’re from a time when they don’t have Instagram.)
Write their death scene, even if you’re not planning on killing them within the piece.
Alternatively, write them a eulogy or obituary.
Your character is in high school, and has become valedictorian and has to give a speech at graduation. Write it.
Write a letter of recommendation for this character. For what? I don’t care. Write it.
Your character has a YouTube channel. Write the script for their most watched video.
Write the notes written on the doctor or therapist’s clipboard after a meeting with the character.
Your character has been arrested. Write the news posting.
What song did your character make an embarrassing dancing video to as a child?
Your character has become a celebrity and is on a talk show, telling the story of a traumatic childhood memory…
One-On-One Friendships
First meeting scene has been done so many times. Write the first fight instead.
Write a series of text conversations between the two.
How would they behave at an elementary school sleepover?
One friend has been detained–arrested, grounded, detention, you choose–and the other is trying to convince the detainer to let them out.
The two decide to enter the school talent show, solely for the $50 Cheesecake Factory gift card prize.
For whatever reason, they must pretend to be siblings. Bonus points if they are different races or just look nothing alike.
One friend got evicted, and has to live with the other for a week.
They’ve been working on a joint bucket list since they became close. Write the list.
One is extremely drunk and the other must stop them, as they have decided that now is the time when they just have to…
Your characters reunite in a nursing home in their 90s after not having seen each other for at least a decade.
A creep hits on one of them, and as friends do, they pretend they’re dating to ward off said creep. Only problem? Said creep keeps showing up.
The maid of honor/best man speech.
Friend Groups
They’ve been in a car together for 6 hours on a road trip, and someone tries the dreaded “Are we there yet?”.
A group picture goes horribly wrong. Write the scene– or draw the picture if you’re a visual artist.
It’s middle school. There’s a snow day. Everyone goes sledding. And then…
Compile the memes that are most commonly sent in the group chat.
They discover one of them has never seen Star Wars. Write the following discourse and movie marathon.
Look up “Most likely to” challenges on YouTube, write down the best questions, and use them with the group. Even better, write a scene where the group is using them with each other.
Write your characters as overly passionate PTA members planning the next school fundraiser.
One of them goes out of town, and the group has to watch their house/plants/pet/kid while they’re gone.
A member of the group was minorly wronged. Everyone decides to enact petty revenge.
The wedding was going so well, until the rest of the friends decided to make the reception a little more interesting.
One friend works at a restaurant. The rest decide to eat there while the friend is working. Describe how the group gets the friend fired in one night.
For whatever reason, nobody can go home for Thanksgiving. They decide to have Thanksgiving together instead.
Romantic Relationships
Write a breakup scene. Doesn’t matter if they’re not going to break up in your piece.
Write the moments when they each knew.
One’s meeting the other’s parents for the first time, and accidentally lets slip that…
The siblings/friends scheming together about how to get the two to date without being creepy.
Write the stupidest argument they’ve ever had.
What text message conversation is framed in their apartment/house?
Somehow kill one of them, and let the other react.
It’s Valentine’s Day. The couple goes out to eat, when both of their exes walk in… with each other.
The Mario Kart match neither of them is allowed to talk about.
They’re not speaking. Write the development of the fight only through conversations with the buffer friend.
Write a proposal scene, even if you’re not planning on them getting married in your piece.
They return to the place where they first met/kissed/dated. Somehow, the place has been changed, and not for the better.

If Kagari were Okabe and Kurisu’s Daughter
I thought for a long time that Kagari would be revealed to be Okabe and Kurisu’s biological daughter. The explanation I came up with a friend was that considering that Leskinen had connections with the hospitals when doing his shady RS investigations, the same hospitals could have extracted cells from Kurisu’s body immediately after finding out she died. Then in 2025, they’d do the same with Okabe when they captured him for that small period of time to torture him, meaning they’d be able to create a kid from their DNA.
The motive was that it would be a great advantage for the world powers to have a spy that had the intelligence of Kurisu with Okabe’s strong RS. Kagari could’ve had some repressed memories of her childhood before Mayuri adopted her where Stratfor was frustrated with her because she neither inherited her mom’s intelligence or her dad’s RS, so they find her a failed experiment in a way. It would have made her character more sympathetic.
Additionally, it is a popular belief that traits that parents have are inherited by their children and Steins;Gate has used similar ideas before like how eating more vegetables could give you a baby girl when attempting to change Luka’s sex. It also feels fitting that Kagari’s brain would be compatible with Amadeus if she was already Kurisu’s daughter rather than that also being a coincidence.
It would actually explain her strong resemblance to Kurisu, especially since it seemed like the writers were hinting that it was a stretch for it to just be a coincidence.
Turns out that wasn’t the case because a Drama CD that took place on another world-line killed the theory as Kagari was Okabe’s adopted daughter in it despite Kurisu being alive. It’s such a shame because if they had gone that path, it would have given more meaning in certain aspects and it would explain some of the stuff that felt like foreshadowing.
More Meaningful Aspects
- Kagari would be more motivated to not reach Steins;Gate. Her existence itself would be on the line rather than just her relationship with Mayuri because she wouldn’t be sure if Okabe and Kurisu would have her, let alone even reunite! While other labmems have been mentioned to die at some point in the series, the only other two characters to have a situation that involved a choice of their existence being compromised was Kurisu in OG S;G and Okabe in the Movie. Kinda fitting if their daughter went through a similar struggle in a way, right?
- It would dramatic irony in how she doesn’t want her dad to save her biological mom. Okabe wants to reach S;G while his daughter is trying to stop him. She also refuses to see anyone but Mayuri as her mother.
- It would make the parallels/comparisons between Kurisu and Kagari in the VN routes be more meaningful because it would be “Like mother, like daughter”.
- It would keep that Okabe/Kurisu/Mayuri focus that Steins;Gate has, so that all 3 of them are her parents in a way. This would also guarantee that Mayuri would be close to Kagari like a nanny in the S;G world-line and that Kagari would become a lab member there too. She’d still be close with the other labmems, so Suzuha and Kagari would be able to keep their sisterly bond as well. Additionally, Kagari could still be named Kagari if Mayuri suggested the name to Okabe and Kurisu, which would make it easier for marketing.
- How ironic would it have been of Mayuri wanting to take care of Kagari if she really was Okabe and Kurisu’s daughter? Her guilt over not letting Okabe save Kurisu and then ultimately being the one to take care of their daughter.
- Kagari’s song would pass through 3 generations of the same family, kinda making it feel more meaningful (Okabe’s mom, Okabe, and then Kagari)
Aspects that Appeared to be Foreshadowing/Teasing that Theory
- Okabe’s death in Beta and Kagari’s birth are approximately a year apart. The timing seems pretty convenient. Kagari also shares the same blood type as Okabe and Kurisu (Type A).
- It was stated that Kagari’s parents’ records were destroyed in the VN. I thought this meant something, like they were hiding the evidence of who her parents really were considering they mentioned this random piece of trivia.
- Fatima was the name of the 0 anime opening. In Islamic history, Fatima was the name of a daughter of a messenger. S;G 0 emphasizes Okabe as a messenger.
These manga covers that emphasize the 3 of them together:
- Kagari’s brainwashing says that she was “born to protect this world”…and it would have been literally true with this theory. 😅 (Guess it was just the normal brainwash talk)
- From a short story centered around Luka in Beta’s future, Mayuri thought that maybe Kagari was Kurisu’s daughter, except that even if Kurisu had any children, they would have to be over 20 years by now.
- This part of the 0 VN opening of Kurisu/Okabe transitions to Kagari immediately after.
- Chiyomaru said that there was too much room for interpretation when it came to Kagari, saying how the writers didn’t follow up on every bit of foreshadowing because they wanted to leave some stuff open for interpretation. This implies that there was a reason behind Kagari’s resemblance that was already foreshadowed in the VN.
- Kagari was associated with the Magic Flute, which was associated with Okabe and Kurisu’s relationship in Kurisu’s Monologue CD
- Older Kagari in the 0 anime sorta had Antimatter Kurisu hair, and on the same note, younger Kagari in this flashback has her hair similar to Kurisu’s
K that last one is a bit of stretch but still
This feels like a theory people would think of but dismiss immediately afterwards because Kurisu is dead in Beta but in a way, it would fit the “deceive the world” theme if they had this dramatic reveal in the series.

“If Shiina Mayuri is ‘someone you should protect,’ then Makise Kurisu is ‘the one who is at your side supporting you.’ In the story of 'Steins;Gate,’ the span of time Okabe Rintaro has lived is disjointed. In other words, he can’t share his memories with anyone. But he still continues to fight desperately by himself. And Kurisu is the only one who can understand him. So to me, Kurisu is more like a 'partner’ than just a 'heroine.’ She’s in a more special position than that. She’s such an important character that you could even call her a second protagonist.”
-Naotaka Hayashi (scenario writer of the S;G VN) at the end of Vol. 1 of the S;G manga 'History’s Strongest Slight Fever’
(*I’m pretty sure Hayashi is using 'heroine’ here in the usual visual novel sense of (roughly) 'female love interest’ rather than the original sense)

Okakuri Week: Day 6 - Always in this Place
Quoted from the movie, and a really moving speech from Kurisu to Okabe. It’s her promise to him, as it’s his promise to himself at the end of the main series to protect her.

This is going to sound super lame but for your okakuri prompts do you keep a mental timeline? As in, do you know the order in which the prompts happen (minus the SG0 ones cause alternate world line)? I am curious :p
Hm, more or less? When I write my prompts, I do actually try to get an image of approximately what year/time I’m writing for.
For example, if I’m writing something more with early relationship OkaKuri, the dynamic and setting tends to be more ‘tsundere’ (for a lack of better words), whereas something that I write that takes places several years into their relationship tends to be more comfortable and established (still with some tsundere tendencies, but there’s another level of comfort established to them).
To give a better visual, I can give a somewhat general timeline of my prompts; the prompts in each category aren’t in the exact order, per say, but I’ll group them below to make it seem a little more simple in terms of a general “timeline” (this only includes S;G timeline OkaKuri, not 0 OkaKuri):
Early OkaKuri (either before to 1 year into relationship):“Elated”“Perfect”“Is That My Shirt?”“Can we share the blanket?“Fate” (OkaKuri Week 2017)“Memory” (OkaKuri Week 2017)
Middle OkaKuri (2 - 3 years into their relationship):“Words”“Hurt”“Electric”“If I kiss you right now, I won’t be able to stop”
Late OkaKuri (3+ years, established):“All I Want is You”“Coffee”“Proposal” (OkaKuri Week 2017)“Always in this Place” (OkaKuri Week 2017)
Actual OkaKuri (implication of married, etc):“Cry”“Next”Random quick drabble“First” (OkaKuri Week 2017)
I did write “Proposal”, “Always in this Place”, and “First” to be intentionally connected, so those definitely fall one right after the other.
I hope this makes sense, and possibly what you were asking for…? LOL. Again, this list doesn’t include the 0 prompts (since the 0 prompts are based around eternal OkaKuri Suffering and happen at pretty much any time before the end of 0 lol).

Onions! Onions Incoming!!
Just some appreciation post about how painful this scene was. And also this scenes breaks my heart into pieces💔
Moving on,
Wow, to be honest there were lots of hananene tension happened on this arc. Also the revelations to both of them.
This scene, the expression on yashiro's face, those big droplets of tear, falling down on her cheeks. And hanako kun looks shooketh and lost for words.. Probably because he was amazed that yashiro was still full of hopes and still brave enough to go back to the real world, regardless of after she learns about her short life and death.😞 Nene is such a brave girl!!

And she really went all out expressing all her painful thoughts she kept to herself since the very beginning. Hanako kun was just there, wide eyed, speechless.
And what made our hearts breaks even more to a thousand shards is that, when yashiro said to hanako kun all of her dreams she wanted to achieve if she keeps on living!💔😞 , finished studies, and become a stunning college student. Goes out to drink and wear suitable dress for wedding. Those dreams whose hanako didnt even dreamed of back when he was alive and never had the chance to fullfill his own dreams.
Normally after learning about her dreams, it will become one of his reasons that will drives him in keeping her locked up inside the fake world. Because atleast on a fake world she can still be able to achieve her own dreams now that she was freed of her fated death.
But still she still wanted to go back to the real world,
Now What are those reasons which made her want to go back to the real world?
I think because,

Im just gonna leave this here😍 this scene gave us enough reason that made her want to go back, and it's kinda sweet tho, in the real worlds she kept on saying "hanako kun was never my type",
but on a world where this hanako kun a perverted donut loving ghost boy never existed. She can't just forget about him that easy. Because some part of her used to love this hanako kun she always known. (XD she didn't know that hanako kun was amane in disguise all along😂) but atleast in the real world theres was a ghost boy loving donut awaits to her aside to her death.
But it doesn't matter anyway, if she stays inside that fake world because the longer she stays the closer her memories in the real world will be forgotten. So it is like she never met hanako kun at all.😞💔
And this scene too, were mei explained everything to yashiro about what really hanako kun planned for her. The level of his desperation to her to keep on living in this scene was amazingly heartbreaking💔😭

He really cared for her too much😭 to the point were he endure those mixed emotions which the thing he hates the most and disguises himself into his alive self, amane😭 just to check on her if she can live inside that convenient fake world😭. But since he was the leader of the 7 mysteries he was needed to go back to the real world by himself😭.and hanako was aware that she will forget all about him and that was definitely a painful blow to him because she was one of his important people that ever came to his life😭
I hate those onions, they made me cry😭
So I think after nene finds out that hanako kun is leaving after the convenient world is finished it also drives her to go back to the real world.
So in the end. Yashiro asks a wish to hanako kun which made him caught in the moment.

"Dear, hanako san, hanako san, would you grant me my wish?"
She even said "Dear"😭

And hanako kun was like gave her a bittersweet smile.
"I can't say no if you ask like that"
Aaahh so sweet, hanako kun's weakness is yashiro😍😍
Last one, this one was the most painful scene above them all😭💔

When yashiro asked hanako kun to go with her to the moon because she knew that hanako kun loves the moon and astronomy so much. She thinks that hanako kun will go with her😭 but in the end..

He didnt join her, because he never achieved his own dreams back when he was alive. And so instead he chooses to grant her wish as his own wish also and he promised to her that he can. Means he will find a way to save her from her fated death😭💔
So it is like his wish now was for yashiro to keeps on living. And it kinda heartbreaking to see the end because theres a high chance of hanako kun moving on while yashiro continues to keep on living. And hanako kun won't be around anymore to see her becoming a stunning, college student, goes out to drink and wear a snow white wedding dress on her wedding
hanako kun can't gave that future to her, because he's already dead. And only a normal boy can gave her that kind of future. So in the end hanako kun will choose whats better for her first aside of him breaking his own heart.
He really did loved her so much.
Thank you so much aidairo sama for giving us so many onions that made us cry a lot😭😭

Aside from his wish for yashiro to keep on living.
Hanako kun's wish was yashiro all along since he was still small.😭💔
