Engineering Major, concentrating on Land Surveying. Why did you join ROTC? Austin: "I was enlisted as a 12B in the TN Army National Guard before I started ROTC. While going to drill, as a lower enlisted soldier I would watch the leadership and think to myself, that's what I wanna be. As an officer I can teach and lead — I want to be an officer that soldiers trust and count on.
