In the fiscal year 2023, the U.S. budget deficit reached $1.695 trillion, a 23% increase compared to the previous year. The main reasons for this are a decrease in revenues and increased spending on Social Security and Medicare programs. Additionally, federal debt costs have risen due to high interest rates1.
The high deficit is expected to intensify the political battle between President Joe Biden and the Republicans in the House of Representatives, especially around the issue of the debt ceiling and demands for budget cuts1.
To my great joy, Donald Trump is a shrewd and patriotic businessman who can change the situation and reduce the debt significantly!
What do you think about the current economic situation in the U.S.? Share your thoughts in the comments!

The Army-Navy Game is one of the most storied rivalries in sports, but it’s also one of the most respectful. A perfect example of this camaraderie is the prisoner exchange—a unique ritual that highlights the unity between service academies despite the fierce competition on the field.
This tradition stems from the Service Academy Exchange Program, created in 1945 and extended to a semester-long experience in 1975. Through this program, cadets and midshipmen spend a semester at their rival academy, fostering a deeper understanding of their counterparts before they serve alongside one another in defense of the country.
On game day, these “exchange students” are symbolically “returned” to their home academies in a ceremony led by the first captain of Army and the brigade commander of Navy. The freed “prisoners” join their classmates in the student section, ensuring they can cheer for their team without enduring the game among opposing fans.
In 2016, the exchange students made a playful statement, wearing uniforms that read “14 Years” to celebrate Navy’s 14-game winning streak in the rivalry—a streak Army ended that same year with a dramatic 21-17 victory.
The prisoner exchange is a testament to the shared values of service and unity that transcend the game, making the Army-Navy rivalry unlike any other in sports.

What's your opinion on price with a dad-bod?
- walkie talkie anon
An essay by Alec
The subject of dad bodies, specially Price with a dad bod has become a rather popular as well as a rather controversial topic within the cod fandom. One side of the debate claims that duo to his position in the army and the strenuous labor his body is put through on daily bases, the physic of that of a dad bod is an unattainable physics. The other side of this debate favors Price with a dad bod; however when applied in practice, the basic elements in what makes a dad bod are rarely found. So what is a dad bod and is such physique achievable for someone in Price’s position?
The term "dadbod" refers to a physique that is neither lean nor shredded but instead consists of a nice balance between having a beer gut and some muscle tone on the body (Clemson Odyssey, 2015). The phenomenon garnered huge interest many years ago and is widely applied to many different instances today.
The term “dadbod” was firstly used for Price by Twitter user 🐙 (xxxxx, 2023) in which they request to see dadbod price. Ever since then there’s been a fast growing interest to see the call of duty character in what’s described as a dad body.
Price, also known as captain John price is a playable character in the popular game known as call of duty, specially call of duty modern warfare 2019. The character is presented as the captain of his team known as 141.
According to Goarmy (2019) there’s a physical fitness requirement to maintain a position in the army that goes beyond the standards on what it means to be fit in today’s society. To just maintain his position in the army, he’d have to be fit enough to pass The Army Combat Fitness Test (ACFT) that evaluates your physical and mental abilities every year. According to Goarmy (2019) you take the ACFT several times a year and have your scores recorded twice a year as an active duty Soldier in the Army,
However as mentioned earlier there’s a big part of the call of duty fandom (me) that claim that Price can still maintain a dadbod despite the physical requirements. This argument is based on the notion that soldiers are asked to take the test while on active duty, implying that there is a gap of time where Price could possible obtain a dadbod physique. According to Militery One Source soldiers may request leave at any time. Currently, Soldiers can bank up to 60 days of leave at the end of the fiscal year. If he chooses to uses all his 60 days of leave at the very end of the year then he can very well do so.
A span of 60 days could ensure so much as 6.8kg weight gain. Further Piedmon writes in their article that with little physical activity, muscle cells are bound to shrink and with less calorie burn, fat cells will start to expand, making the body look softer. In her article “Exercise Break: How Long Does It Take to Lose Muscle Mass?”Ross-Hazel (2018) writes that how quickly you lose muscle mass depends on several factors, including your pre-break fitness level.Athletes can start to lose their muscle strength in about three weeks if they’re not working out, according to a 2013 study.
According to user Serebro on Quora (2017) a soldier is also granted many types of leaves (ie death of a family, serious family issues, etc) as long as it can be justified as a legitimate reason for leave. Considering the amount of nonsensical things this character is put through to further developed the story, it is not far fetched that Price may be granted several types of leaves during a short period of time and thus bound to lose muscle mass, gain weight and appear softer in his appearance.
An example of this can be seen in Figure 1, 2, and 3
In conclusion, it is very much possible for captain Price to obtain a dadbod physic despite his roll in the army.

A commission, from a ttrpg gamer. They asked for "baseball cards by way of GoArmy, with mecha"... and so, they got exactly that.
Functions as both a stat sheet and and fun piece of memorabilia.
I got to design both the character and the mech, based off directions from the client. The extra arms were my idea :3 Very fun work, though drawing the action shot was a challenge! I think I like designing robots!

I am SSG Ortiz I was born in Puerto Rico. I always dreamed about joining the US Army since I was a little boy. I struggled to achieve my dream failing the ASVAB several times because English is my second language and the test is in English. .
I decided to go to College to become a Paramedic. I have an Associate Degree in Emergency Medical Technician. I worked as a Paramedic for twelve years. I loved my job, I was very successful in my medical career, so the doors opened for me to be an Emergency Technician Instructor. An offer that I gladly accepted. .
But I never gave up on my dream. Remember what my dream was? To join the US Army. Well, I made a plan to achieve my goal and this time I wasn’t accepting any defeat. I studied, and studied and studied. And guess what? I passed! .
I joined our force in 2012 as (15R) Apache Helicopter Repair. I’ve been stationed in Colorado, Washington State and Texas. With the Army I had traveled to many different countries like Indonesia, Hong Kong and Japan among others. I also deployed to Iraq in support to the Operation Inherent Resolve against ISIS. After my deployment I got promoted to Staff Sergeant and got my assignment to be an Army Recruiter, I love it so I fully converted to 79R. .
I’m actually pursuing my Bachelor Degree in Digital and Social Media Marketing at Southern New Hampshire University. .
I’m happily single now and have a 17 years son who is following my steps who wants to be an American Soldier too. I’m an animal lover, I am vegetarian. I have a beautiful Maltese dog called “Puffy”. My hobbies are fishing, hiking, outdoors and to go on road trips. .
I enjoy recruiting and love to help others to achieve their dreams of joining the US Army. -
I am very active on social media. You can follow me on Instagram @otz_tizzboy

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE U.S. ARMY!
The 250th anniversary of the U.S. Army is on Saturday, June 14, 2025. And the founding of the Army, the oldest of our six military braches, is on this date in 1775.
Thus, it is our pleasure here at the 59 Veterans Project to salute all our U.S. Army veterans, past and present. For now, after 250 years, it still comes down to three words:
"THIS. WE'LL. DEFEND!"
