So to make this trip not-as-painful (as in eating skyline from a can everyday) we stopped at a real skyline in Louisville, KY. To my knowledge this is the furthest east skyline in Kentucky.

This is hard to read, but it says "13 cheese coneys for $13 on Friday the 13th" Just missed it by a day!

I got lunch with Sophia on this special FRIDAY LUNCH EDITION of skyline time! I think it was a long week for both of us, so we let loose and got some lunch at SKKYYYYLIIINNNE

(ed. note: I think I'm getting a little weird with these because I've been updating these posts for the past hour)

Now there isn't too much to say about this, other than, the week sucked so we got lunch! Sophia and I work pretty darn close to each other, yet we hardly get lunch together. It might be because it is winter right now. We also play a bunch of pool. We walked around after for a little bit.

This was my last lunch before I left for my 9 day trip across america.

I stretched this dining experience to as late as I could on a Sunday. which was a little after 11pm. Because if you remember from my last post, I missed on my birthday and ate it first thing in the morning to make up for it. I promise I'll do better! This one is short, because its just me eating coneys in the dark. Whomp.

So I was sick during the morning. 

Then my parents got dinner with me and gave me cupcakes. because it was my birthday. then my friends and I went out and they got me #toodrunktogotoskyline So The first thing I did when I woke up was go to Skyline. I also had to go to Ikea, so I went to the one closest to Ikea up in west chester. I didn't want to interact with people so I ate it in my car. 

I had a great view of this hotel.

Post 36.5: Gone Fishin'

So I am about to embark on a 9 day adventure where I will also have a microwave and skyline chili to warm up and eat in front of famous landmarks and statelines on my way to Nevada and back.  I was hoping to finish updating old posts, but that will have to happen when I get back.

Post 36: Spot The Station

Feb. 5

What I Ate: 2 cheese coneys (i've been doing that a lot, I think I need to change it up soon) Cherry Icee

Location & Time: Delhi Skyline, before 7:12pm (this is important information)

Doug and I went to Delhi! We had both never been there before. I mean I might have been to Delhi, but not their skyline, thats a definite fact. We got pretty fixated on going to this one because of how highly Ofir talked about it. Ofir couldn't join us this night.

Doug only eats his coneys one plate at a time. 

This was an awesome trip! We sat in the big corner cylinder of the building. There were families all over the place in the place.

Oh and this is the best part about it, they had an ICEE machine. I got an icee in a skyline cup.

It was cherry.

Afterwards on the way back we stopped on this hillside to see the International Space Station. It was visible from 7:12 to 7:16 in low orbit or something.

Post 35: Let's Go Krogering

Feb. 4

What I Ate: Bean & Cheese Burrito

Who I Ate With: myself

Location & Time: 9:30pm Northside Kroger

So I did this thing. I made some moves. I went to kroger and got a frozen skyline bean & cheese burrito. My stomach is in pain just from the memory.

There were some nice moments to it too, don't get me wrong. Ran into Dylan and Jack at the kroger. I can't remember if jack bought a frozen 3 way or not. Nice moment: the thing was on sale for 10 cents cheaper. Def. typed in my kroger plus card on this sale. I also bought almonds.

What I Ate

The instructions said if you want a soft tortilla shell to just open the bag and microwave. But there were also instructions for a crispier shell and I thought I would try that out. I took it out of the bag, put it on a plate, microwaved it for 2.5 minutes, drank a glass of water, let it cool for a minute, and took it out.

This was not fun, I'm sorry skyline, but I was not feeling it at all.

Post 34: Ben vs. The Claw Machine

Feb 3.

What I Ate: (2) Cheese Coneys with Beans and Rice

Location & Time: N. College Hill Skyline, 8:30pm

Ben met up with me after work on this day. We went up to my favorite skyline location (remember from this post?) in N. College Hill. Hanging with Ben is always a good time, good conversation, a challenge of some sort usually occurs, he cracks my back, at some point cowboy shots are usually involved. (we did go to the comet after this)

Ben ate the Nava special as he called it, which is a chili cheese sandwich stuffed with crackers.

They looked like stegosauruses. He made something weak-looking like a chili cheese sandwich look like a big strong dinosaur.

On our way out he got some quarters unstuck from the claw machine in the entryway and almost got a purple stuffed animal. We proceeded to go to the Comet the get a drink. He tried that claw machine like 3 times.

Post 32: Super Bowl Sunday PIZZZZZZAHHH

Feb. 1st

What I ate: Skyline Pizza

Who I Ate With: Ray, Madison, Jake

Location & Time: Ray's Apartment, Game Time

Ray is the ultimate dude. He not only made the pizza for the game, but made it with skyline chili! This is awesome because everyone peobably just thought I was going to post about skyline dip for the super bowl. I'm like "no way no how" I'm not doing that.

This skyline pizza tastes just like chili cheese sandwiches. IT was because we were all really hungry and didn't keep it in long enough for a crispy crust. It was like a pizza hut crust or something. softer.

Ingredients

1 pie crust 1 can skyline chili cheese of your choice red beans onions tomato

Directions

Roll the dough out in the shape of your choice onto a baking pan. If you don't have one of these at the moment, make one out of folded aluminum foil like we did. (I swear we are adults) Spread the chili on the crust. Slice and dice those veggies. Put all them toppings on top. (toppings, duh) You can put anything you want on this. I was going to make some sausages and put it on top but I didn't have time. Preheat that oven you got to 400, maybe even 425. Put that in the oven halfway through the first quarter. Pull it out when you think its done, anywhere from 11 to 16 minutes depending on desired crust. cool down, slice up, eat amongst friends!

The super bowl ads were sad, but the pizza cheered us up. (and Katy Perry's awesome halftime show)

We even got Jake to eat a piece and break his semi-enforced vegetarianism

Ray not only made pizza, invited us over to watch the super bowl, but also had beer and bourbon. If that is not ultimate I do not know what is. I mean I guess the end of the super bowl was pretty ultimate, though it's a little hazy to me, cuz I still have this pizza on my mind.

What I Ate: A Cheese Coney, No Mustard

Who I Ate With: Ryan, Quinn, Sunny

Location & Time: Oakley Skyline, 9:30pm

The reason why I only ate one cheese coney was because Quinn and I went over to the Gaslight Cafe prior and got the 4th best burger in the city (as stated on a sign in their window), and a beer. Then we hit up Everybody's and I got a couple records. That burger man, that was some 4th best good stuff.

After that my roommate Rick's work, Madtree Brewery had a winter celebration of sorts, with music, a bunch of beer, and a bunch of people.

Rick gave us a tour of the brewery and I can now say I know slightly more about brewing beer than I originally did. I'd like to shoutout my top 3 faves from them (unhappy amber, psychopathy, and sprye)

After that we hit up Oakley skyline for what has probably been one of my favorite skyline experiences to date.

Why you ask?

1) We had the nicest waitress, she was down to be goofy and put up with our bad jokes. ("I'll take all the crackers on my bill") And she showed us an Ultimate #skylinehack (which I will reveal towards the end of this post)

2) Ryan got two mounds of cheese on his Vegetarian Black Bean Deluxe.

When that happens you get real immature and turn the cheese into cheeseboobs by adding olives.

3) The Ultimate #Skylinehack is a very simple process. You take a peppermint patty. You break off a little bit of it. Sandwich it between two oyster crackers. Eat. What is it? Its damn close to a Thin Mint! It was crazy! The waitress was who told us all about it
