Intentional creation exercise #68, July 11, 2025, the 192th day of the year.
Got a drawing set and decided to work out some things for "Do You See" (tentative name).

I'm definitely going to have to layer things in which I haven't done that in a while.

Intentional creation exercise #69, July 8, 2025 the 189th of the year.
I'm not putting exercise #68 on the shelf but it feels like it's been way too long so I just needed to create something.

More on intentional creation exercise #68, June 29, 2025, the 180th day of the year.
Today I mostly looked for references and started sketching so placement stuff. I need to figure out what I want where.

Intentional creation exercise #68, June 28, 2025, the 179th day of the year.
I'm still in Matthew but moved on to verses 13-20. It got me thinking, what is it to see? So today I did some sketch planning for a small watercolor painting.

I'm thinking through the glasses everything looks vibrant and inviting but everything seen normally is dark and creepy. Taking the path that looks good not knowing they're blind. But I'll ponder it some more before I start.

Intentional creation exercise #67 on June 27, 2025, the 178th day of the year.
I dropped exercise #66. I may or may not pick it back up layer.
Similarly, I skipped drawing things related to verses 10 -12 in the Beatitudes. I just don't feel like it.
Today I painted salt flats.

Intentional creation exercise #65, June 16, 2025, the 167th day of the year.

Still in the Beatitudes, on "pure in heart." Instead of representing biblical purity by showing the different facets of it (i.e. imparts no uncleanness, free from corrupt desires, not engaging in sexual sin, etc), I decided to paint fire. As in cleansing fire of the Holy Spirit which purifies our hearts (after we've received salvation and when we ask).
Yes, I skipped hands on purpose since I did not want to be bothered. No, I did skip the face for that reason. I wanted the figure to have a box head with no face.

Intentional creation exercise #64, June 15, 2025, the 166th day of the year.

Still in the Beautitudes, thinking about how I can represent mercy.

Intentional creation exercise #62 June 13, 2025, the 164th day of the year.
Currently studying the Beatitudes (Matthew 5:1-12) and wondered what some visual representations might look like. Although nothing came out how I originally perceived it. 🤔

I also added in a bujo insert to cover too empty space.

Intentional creation exercise #61, June 12, 2025 the 163rd day of the year. I tried to keep up with a tutorial video but I think too much to be so loose details.

It was the first time using an Artistro watercolor set I have and a Mircon I forgot I owned until the writing utensil cleanup. That demo went well and I think I like the water brush.

Intentional creation exercise #59, May 29, 2025 the 149th day of the year. My ink went everywhere so I drew some things while watching a YouTube video about waiting on the Lord. I had to stop though because the ink started burning my hand. 😩

Intentional creation exercise #58, May 25, 2025 the 145th day of the year.
I started drawing leaves while on the phone with my sister, but she dropped a bomb on me and I got distracted. I started recreating a scripture sticker with bad context*, then got distracted by my lack of internal leaf references.

*Usually when you buy scripture sticker packs, there is always one or two used out of context because it sounds/looks cute. I add context to the ones that aren't completely off and put the others in a catch-all journal.

Wow, change is hard. I fell off a bit longer because I had COVID but bad habits arrested awful. For several days including today, I thought, "I want to create," yet I made nothing. I decided to draw my day but ended up drawing my mood.
