The latest addition, A sneaky stabby shooty type of lad. Lucius Valerius. Forgot that there's also a Valerius family in Skyrim already, so he can be their distant cousin or something like that, haha.
He's a mercenary and although he just pissed off the Dark Brotherhood, he's intent on doing as he pleases for now.

The vampires Corin had slain for Clavicus Vile had infected him, but by the time he was able to get his hands on a potion, it was too late. So after wrapping up some loose ends, he made his way back to Morthal, to Falion, to help him banish the darkness from his body once again.

Corin was not having it with Daedric Princes. First he defied Clavicus Vile, then he decided to stop Eola before she could go through with her cannibalistic plans. He accompanied her to a cave she wanted cleared of draugr, which happened without a hitch, after which she expressed her plans for a feast and her interest in him bringing in a fresh kill.
He summoned his sword, ran her through in a single blow and let it vanish again. “Sorry, Eola,” he mumbled, staring down at the corpse at his feet. “Couldn’t let you go through with that. He felt Helene’s eyes on him but his gaze was fixed on the altar in the room. If you want to retaliate, this is your chance, Namira, he thought, but the stone remained just stone, nothing more, nothing less. Corin turned around. “Come on, let’s go,” he muttered with a shrug and Helene nodded. Silently they left the cave.

After the Grelod saga, the Dark Brotherhood saw it fitting to abduct Corin and try to force him to kill for them. He saw it fitting to end their leader and then proceed to wip out their sanctuary.

After the much needed honeymoon the show had to go on. Thugs and highwaymen, outlaws and marauders and even a giant; Skyrim still had plenty of dangers that had to be dealt with.
A change of pace presented itself in Windhelm, where they heard of a young boy by the name of Aventus Aretino, who was said to be trying to contact the Dark Brotherhood. Corin decided to investigate, but the boy mistook him for an agent with the Brotherhood. Feeling for the kid, Corin decided it was at least worth a shot to check out this Grelod the Kind and see how much of the boy’s story held up.
As it turned out: a lot. It didn’t help that Grelod threatened to come find the kid herself to Corin’s face. In a spur of the moment decision, he ended her life, trusting the children, who were ecstatic afterwards, would be safe in the hands of Constance Michel.
Aretino wanted to reward him, but Corin put the heirloom back into a drawer when the kid left the room. He didn’t need the money and the boy had already lost far too much.

After his promotion to Archmage and Tolfdir taking over for him, Corin and Helene had suddenly found themselves with a lot of free time on their hands. The absence of immediate danger gave both of them time to travel and reflect and for Corin it led him to a decision that just felt right.
They went to Riften and Corin insisted on visiting the temple of Mara. As Helene struck up conversation with a young priestess, Corin went straight for Maramal, speaking to him in hushed tones. 200 gold pieces were handed over and then Corin carefully put on the amulet of Mara, turning around to face Helene who had rejoined him. The expression on her face was a mixture between confusion and a little bit of expectation.
“Fancying someone?” she asked him. Corin smiled. “Yes. You.” It was mutual. And so, the next day, Maramal proclaimed the two husband and wife. Upon leaving the temple, Corin was addressed by Aranea Ienith, regarding Azura’s star, but for the time being all he wanted was just to travel back to Castle Gonduin and enjoy some donwtime with Helene for once.

Born in Hammerfell, as the daughter of a member of a traveling group of bards. Despite their cheery professions, these people were fighters as well, capable of defending themselves on the road. This was the reason Hasmati learned to fight at a fairly young age, alongside the arts of music and performance. Eventually she parted ways with them to follow her own path. But not without misfortune. Her skills could not stop her from getting captured by bandits.
Shackled to the wall in a cold, damp cell with nothing but rags on her body, she had never felt this vulnerable and alone before. But within a week she managed to escape, albeit with a few more scars, both physically and emotionally, and it made her vow this would not happen again.
She got herself some decent gear. First a clunky set of iron, then something more befitting of her quick and agile fighting style. Slowly the bitter aftertaste of what had happened started to fade and she was ready to continue her new life in this unknown land.

The following characters are characters I’d love to write a bit more with;
Corin Darbon, Breton battlemage, Thane of Morthal. Has made a few close friends, but also some dangerous enemies. The Silver Hand does not like him one bit and he’s pissed the Thalmor off even more. He’s not really involved in any civil war matters and he is not the Dragonborn. Corin is rather extraverted and confident, but he’s a very social sort as well.
Eriseya. Dragonborn and a bit on the insecure side for an Altmer. The loss of Lydia really hurt her and she certainly feels rather alone. There have been a few attempts at her life, which is also something she finds difficult to come to peace with. Despite the things that have happened, Eriseya is still fairly easygoing; it’s not in her nature to become bitter and distant.
Serion is an Altmer who, Like Corin, managed to get the Thalmor on his bad side. He used to be an infiltrant there, but got caught and currently he is believed dead and he lays low by mostly just doing missions for the Dawnguard. Quite the serious lad, but certainly not unfriendly.
Faras Greendale, a Bosmer thief. He’s a good archer, a stealthy shadow in the night, but also good fun at the inn. Represses emotions like a champ, but has a smooth tongue and knows how to use that to his advantage. While he’s generally not very good with authority, the leaders of the Thieves Guild have earned his respect and he is about as loyal to them as he gets.
Hasmati, a young redguard warrior who was off to a rough start. She’s been attacked, imprisoned and escaped on her own, in a land where she doesn’t know anybody. She’s tough, but friendly as well. She’s quick to talk and quick to smile, but will not hesitate to draw her sword when she needs to. She’s more likely to fight her way out than go about it the diplomatic way.
Adrian Brunfaire is a Breton mage who is very pacifistic by nature. Having learned the hard way just how much mages are shunned, he is very hesitant to be open about it. He is endlessly fascinated by all forms of magic, so when someone makes him feel like he can safely talk about it, he can talk for hours. He studies at the College of Winterhold. Adrian is softhearted, friendly and a bit introverted.
