I don't know if you've answered this before (and sorry if you have) but how does Sunset leaving/coming back work as a god in equestria? Sunburst not knowing his concept means he can't 'grow' yet Sunset seemed to appear fully/atleast kinda grown even though it seems like she had no idea shed become a goddess, so does the time difference between the two realms mean she can grow exponentially? When she leaves does the concept she represents also disapear/lessen? How do the people think of a goddess who appears for a short time compared all the other princesses? CAN she go back??? I'm sorry but her going back and forth between the two is so interesting to me and I'd love of you could answer

sunset shimmer is honestly more of a shitpost than a real aspect of equestria. you can browse the whole Sunset Shimmer tag here, and here it is in chronological order.

because time works differently, she full ascended in the human realm without ever realizing she was ascending, since they don't have gods over there. Her pony form changed, while her human form did not. Her human powers escalated, but her appearance was the same.

When she steps through the portal into her pony body, she finds that form has changed dramatically. It's pretty overwhelming, so she doesn't visit often.

When she is present, her aspect (rebirth and redemption) grants magic to all who go through it. A selfish horse realizing the true meaning of christmas can suddenly melt snow and restore life to her environment through the power of Becoming a Better Person.

When Sunset is gone, that magic no longer happens. Becoming a better person is good, but it doesn't make you all glowy glowy light beams and healing aura all over the place.

The Goddess of Redemption is celebrated and worshipped, but society is aware that she only returns "when she is needed most"

What I’m hearing is that basically the goddess’ are like beekeepers, and the bees are the regular ponies. However the beekeeper is also partially in the astral plane and their blood is of magic

it's more like the goddesses are strolling through the forests and there are wild bees there. Each one is some varying degree of bee appreciator.

Twilight would be the closest to bee keeper since she fosters communities and becomes part of their infrastructure, but there's no control and nothing to harvest.

Haven't thought about it, but sure! That would make a lot of sense with her au-specific stories, like not having any friends as a filly while also not showing interest in having them, but secretly aching for connection so badly she creates life from a rock.

You mentioned that Sunburst is based on a specific, special bird, so I’m guessing that’s a phoenix? But until that’s confirmed I kinda think it would be like an ortolan’s. They’re a sparrow that’s special because of how they’re prepared for consumption.

if Luna ever found sunburst would it provide any closure, Or would it draw attention to them and make it worse? The moon seeking you out to try and have a heart to heart like an astranged father sounds greatly troubling.

Depends on how much work she's done on herself since she did that! She needs the help of some down-to-earth ponies to even begin talking with him, maybe repairing what she's done.

This guilt plays into the nightmares she makes to punish herself.

He doesn't know. So far he hasn't changed or grown in the years since the incident. He doesn't know what he's supposed to be the god of, and he doesn't want to know. So he just... hides away in the furthest corner of equestria he can find.

How tall is Shirecorn?

It occurs to me that I never specified how tall my fursona is. Horses are typically measured in Hands, which is about the width of an adult's hand, measured from thumb to pinky and stacked like so:

The hands reach up to the withers (shoulder) of a horse, rather than measuring up to their head.

The top of the withers is actually determined by the long bones that protrude off the back of the spine, rather than the upper edge of the horse's shoulder blade. It's a bit of a misnomer to call them bones, as they are part of the vertebra, not joints connected to it.

You have spines too, but yours are not as pronounced as those of ungulates (hoofed mammals) nor as epic as spinosaurus.

in horses, the muscle that lays on top of these bones determines the height of the withers.

I represent myself as a shire unicorn with fluffy feet and a blueish coat. Until today, everyone has had to guess my height whenever drawing or picturing me. I haven't really gotten into it because I knew I needed to explains hands, withers, and average horse heights. But with all that out of the way, I have created a height chart to show Bo vs a typical shire, vs a human.

Don't get distracted by the typical shire silhouette. I just threw that in there to show how I measure up.

That's right, I am 1 hand tall. That's 4 inches, or about 10 cm, measured at the withers! If you use the top of my horn, you'll get the wrong height.

But now that you know how to measure a horse, you can picture me in all my Shirecorn glory.

A lot of the fandom grew up and a lot have started families or moved on new things. Hardly anyone is really raving over gen 5 to my understanding - there are still bronies for it but it's nothing like G4's rabid ascension.

So those that are still about in the G4 scene are pretty mellow! That's not too say you don't have your sillyhooves here and there, but it's relaxed a lot in the past 5 years

I like it. I even joined a youtube channel for pony artists, called Draft Horses, and have been hanging out with the community there.

I hope g5 is popular with the kids. That's what's most important.
