Pairing: Chan x F!reader x Felix Genre: SKZ ninth member au, angst, forbidden love, cheating, fluff Summary: Felix- the sunshine of her life, someone who she valued the most. Chan- the person that she fell for when she knows it's impossible. Status: ongoing Taglist: Open

As the fallout continued, Y/N felt the weight of the world pressing down on her.
Later that night, she sat alone in the practice room, knees drawn to her chest. When the door creaked open, she didn’t look up.
"Hey," Felix's soft voice broke the silence. He crossed the room and sat beside her.
For a moment, neither of them spoke.
"I hate this," she whispered.
Felix nodded, his hand finding hers. "Me too. But you don't have to go through it alone."
Before she could respond, the door opened again — and this time, it was Chan.
His eyes flicked from their joined hands to her tear-streaked face, and something unreadable passed over his expression.
"We'll get through this," he said quietly. "Together."
But as the three of them sat there in silence, Y/N couldn’t help but wonder if they’d ever truly recover. The fallout from the leaked moments of Y/N and Chan continued to spiral out of control. Social media was on fire, and STAY's reaction was divided. Twitter was flooded with posts and comments, some defending Y/N and others harshly criticizing her. ————————————————————————— STAY: I knew something was going on! But why did it have to be like this… I hope they're okay. This has to be so stressful.
STAY: If Chan’s happy, I'm happy. But people need to chill with the hate on Y/N. She didn''t ask for any of this.
STAY: JYPE's silence on this whole situation is making things worse. Fans deserve a statement, and the members deserve privacy.
STAY: What if this isn't even real? People are so quick to believe blurry photos and random rumors. Until the members say something, Im not buying it. ————————————————————————— In the midst of the chaos, JYPE called for an emergency meeting. The room was tense when the members filed in, and Y/N could feel the weight of everyone's worried glances.
Chan sat at the head of the table, his face lined with exhaustion. “We need to address this,” he said quietly. “It's getting out of hand.”
The manager nodded. “We're considering putting out a statement, but we need to decide how to handle Y/N's involvement. There's a lot of backlash right now.”
“It's not her fault,” Felix spoke up, his voice sharp with frustration. “Why should she take the fall for something she didn't even do?”
“Felix,” Minho warned softly, but his own eyes were dark with anger.
“Because that’s how the public sees it,” the manager said, not unkindly. “We know the truth, but perception is everything.”
Y/N swallowed hard, her heart pounding. “So what happens now?”
The room fell silent until the manager finally spoke again. “We think it would be best if you took a hiatus. Just for a month or so. Let things cool down.”
She felt like the air had been knocked out of her. “A hiatus?”
“It's temporary,” Chan said quickly, his eyes pleading with hers. “Just until things settle. Please, Y/N. It's for your own protection.”
She wanted to argue, but the exhaustion in the room told her it was useless. “Okay,” she whispered, her voice barely audible.

It started with a single post.
A blurry photo of Y/N and Chan, faces close together, eyes locked in an unmistakable kind of tenderness. It spread like wildfire. ————————————————————————— STAY: I KNEW IT! Look at the way Chan looks at her. This confirms everything. 💕😭
STAY: Why do people always invade their privacy like this? They deserve some peace.
STAY: Okay but what about Felix? We all saw how close he and Y/N were in that last vlog.
STAY: Forget the love triangle — can we talk about Minho and Jisung's matching bracelets? I see you, guys. 👀 ————————————————————————— The speculation grew so intense that JYPE had no choice but to intervene.
The company called an emergency meeting. Y/N sat stiffly between Chan and Felix, their expressions equally grim. Across from them, the other members watched quietly — Jisung fidgeting with his sleeves, Minho's arms crossed tight, Seungmin and Jeongin exchanging worried glances.
"We need damage control," the manager began. "The media's going crazy. Fans are demanding answers."
"There's nothing to confirm," Y/N said, voice tight. "It was just a moment—"
"That's not how they're seeing it," the manager cut in. "We need a statement. Now."
Chan's jaw tightened. "We can't just throw Y/N under the bus. She's already getting enough hate."
Felix's eyes darkened. "I agree. This isn't fair to her."
"We're not blaming anyone," the manager insisted. "But we do need clarity."
The room fell into silence.
Finally, Minho spoke. "What if we just… said nothing? Let it blow over?"
"It won't," Seungmin replied quietly. "Not this time."
In the end, they decided on a carefully worded statement denying any romantic involvement. But the damage was already done. ————————————————————————— STAY: They ALWAYS say that. I'm not buying it.
STAY: Can we all just chill? They’re human too. They deserve privacy.
STAY: Okay but why did the statement sound so cold? Protect Y/N at all costs. 😭

The unplanned livestream began with a mix of tension and warmth. The members gathered together, their faces reflecting concern and determination. Chan, sitting front and center, adjusted his cap and took a deep breath.
“Hi, STAY…” his voice was soft but steady. “We wanted to take a moment to talk to you all and clear up some things that have been circulating. We’re really sorry about the sudden ending of the fanmeeting. It wasn't planned, and we know it must have been disappointing.”
Seungmin nodded beside him. “It was a tough decision, but there were personal matters that needed immediate attention. We hope you understand.” ————————————————————————— STAY: We were so worried! Is everything okay?
STAY: Chan, please take care of yourself.
STAY: The members look so serious… we're here for you. ————————————————————————— Jeongin, always the mood-lifter, tried to lighten the atmosphere. “Don't worry, STAY! We're taking good care of each other. Right, hyungs?”
Minho smirked, wrapping an arm around Jeongin. “Of course. I mean, we've got Y/N feeding us like a mom, so we're in good hands.”
Y/N laughed softly, but the sound was a bit strained. “I try my best. You guys are a handful.”
Chan’s smile softened when he looked at her, and STAY didn't miss it. ————————————————————————— STAY: Did you see the way he looked at her??
STAY: Y/N and Chan… something's definitely going on.
STAY: Minho exposing everyone as usual lol. ————————————————————————— Taking a more serious tone, Chan addressed the elephant in the room. “I also want to confirm something that's been speculated a lot… Yes, I've ended my relationship. It was a mutual decision, and we both wish each other the best. I ask that you respect both our privacy during this time.” ————————————————————————— STAY: WHAT?! THEY BROKE UP?
STAY: I knew something was off lately…
STAY: Is Y/N the reason?! ————————————————————————— Jisung quickly jumped in to ease the rising tension. “Hey, hey! Let's not jump to conclusions. Chan hyung and his ex have their reasons, and Y/N has been nothing but supportive to everyone.”
Seungmin added, “The last thing any of us want is for misunderstandings to hurt the people we care about.”
Despite their words, STAY's speculations only grew wilder. Fans began dissecting every glance and touch, recalling past interactions.
After the livestream ended, the internet buzzed with theories: ————————————————————————— STAY: The way Chan kept looking at Y/N during the live… I swear there's something there.
STAY: Minho literally called her their mom. She's always taking care of them. No wonder Chan's so attached.
STAY: Okay but what about Minho and Y/N? Have you seen how close they are lately?————————————————————————— Meanwhile, the members gathered back in Chan and Jeongin's dorm, exhausted but relieved.
“I think that went okay?” Jeongin said hopefully.
“Better than I expected,” Minho admitted. “But the speculations are going to be nonstop now.”
Chan sighed, leaning back against the couch. “As long as they don't hurt Y/N… I don't care what they say about me.”
Y/N squeezed his hand gently. “We'll get through this. Together.”
Outside the dorms, the world kept talking — and watching — their every move.

That evening, Y/N found herself alone in the dorm's common area when Minho walked in, his usual composed mask slipping.
“Minho-hyung,” she started softly, but he waved a hand, collapsing onto the couch beside her.
“Jisung's avoiding me,” he muttered. “I don't know how much longer we can keep this up.”
Y/N placed a comforting hand on his shoulder. “Maybe it's time to stop keeping it up, then.” Minho's eyes met hers, weary but grateful. “It's not that simple.”
Before she could respond, the door burst open and Jisung walked in. The air between them crackled with tension. “Jisung—” Minho began, but Jisung shook his head.
“Not now.”
Y/N stood. “I'll give you guys some space.”
She slipped out into the hallway just as Felix appeared, concern written all over his face.
“Is everything okay?” he asked.
“Not really,” she admitted. “But I think it will be.”
As they walked toward the elevators, the sound of raised voices followed them — Minho and Jisung's emotions finally spilling over. Felix reached for her hand, and for once, she didn't pull away.
The tension had been simmering for weeks. Between Y/N and Chan’s increasingly complicated dynamic, Felix's quiet heartbreak, and the delicate balance the group tried to maintain, it felt like something was bound to break. And it finally did.
It started when Jisung and Minho were caught sharing a quiet moment by the practice room. They thought they were alone, Jisung's laughter muffled against Minho's shoulder as the older boy held him close. But Seungmin, ever observant, had seen them. He hadn't meant to, but the sight had left him conflicted.
Later, when Seungmin met Jeongin back at their shared dorm, the younger boy could tell something was off.
"Hyung, you okay?" Jeongin asked, nudging Seungmin's arm as they sat on the couch.
Seungmin hesitated before speaking. "Do you ever feel like... we’re all keeping too many secrets?"
Jeongin blinked. "What do you mean?"
"I saw Minho hyung and Jisung today," Seungmin said softly. "They looked... happy. But also like they were scared someone would see them."
Jeongin frowned. "You think they're together?"
"I think so," Seungmin whispered. "And I think they're scared of what might happen if people find out."
Jeongin was quiet for a moment. "Do you think we should say something? Or just... let them be?"
"Let them be," Seungmin said firmly. "But it makes me wonder... how many of us are hiding things?"
The question hung in the air, heavy and unanswered. ————————————————————————— The bombshell dropped in the middle of a fan event.
Chan was scrolling through his phone between schedules when he suddenly froze. Y/N, sitting next to him, noticed immediately.
"Hyung? What's wrong?"
He didn't answer right away. Instead, he handed her the phone. On the screen was a post from his girlfriend's account.
"We've decided to part ways. Please respect our privacy as we move forward separately."
Y/N's heart skipped a beat. "Oh..."
Before either of them could say anything more, the comments started flooding in. ————————————————————————— STAY: OMG THEY BROKE UP???
STAY: I hope he's okay...
STAY: I KNEW IT. Chan and Y/N have always had more chemistry.
STAY: Felix is gonna be mad...
STAY: Please just let them all be happy. T_T ————————————————————————— Chan sighed heavily, rubbing his face with his hands. "It's gonna be a mess."
Y/N reached out, placing a gentle hand on his shoulder. "We'll get through it, hyung. Together."
But the storm was only just beginning.

The tension in the building was palpable. It wasn't just between Y/N, Chan, and Felix anymore — it was starting to spread among the other members, though no one wanted to address it directly. Jisung and Minho had been more secretive than usual, their glances lingering too long, their whispers too quiet. And Jeongin and Seungmin... well, everyone noticed the awkwardness between them lately, but no one dared to mention it.
One evening, as she sorted through some lyrics in the practice room, Felix walked in, his usual sunshine demeanor clouded.
“Lixie,” she greeted softly. “Everything okay?”
He hesitated before sitting beside her. “Not really.”
The weight of his words settled heavily between them.
“I... I hate this,” he finally said. “The weirdness between us. The way I feel like I'm losing you.”
“You're not—”
“But I am.” His voice cracked. “Ever since you got closer to Chan, it's like... like I don't matter as much anymore.”
Her heart twisted. “You'll always matter, Lix. You're my best friend.”
He smiled, but it was sad. “I don't want to just be your best friend, Y/N.”
Before she could respond, the door creaked open. Chan stood there, eyes flickering between them.
“Am I interrupting something?” ————————————————————————— The atmosphere among the members had become increasingly tense. Everyone felt it — the unspoken words, the fleeting glances, the weight of feelings left unresolved. Minho and Jisung tried their best to keep their relationship under wraps, but lately, the strain was showing. They'd grown more protective of each other, more on edge when someone got too close.
One afternoon, the group gathered in the practice room. Jeongin and Seungmin were quietly rehearsing their parts when Minho walked in, eyes immediately seeking out Jisung. Y/N noticed and exchanged a knowing glance with Felix, who sat next to her against the mirrored wall.
“Hyung looks stressed,” Felix murmured, following Minho's gaze.
“Jisung too,” Y/N whispered back. “They've been acting weird lately.”
Before Felix could respond, the music cut out. Minho stepped forward, his voice unusually sharp. “Jisung, you're off today. What's going on?”
Jisung’s head snapped up, frustration flaring in his eyes. “Nothing's going on. Why does something always have to be wrong with me?”
The room fell silent. Jeongin and Seungmin exchanged wary looks, and even Chan, who had been discussing choreography with Hyunjin, turned to watch.
“Guys, let's not—” Y/N began, but Jisung cut her off.
“Stay out of it, Y/N.” His words were curt, but the regret was instant, flashing across his face.
“I think we all need a break,” Chan said, his voice calm but firm.
As everyone started to disperse, Jeongin approached Seungmin. “You okay?” Seungmin nodded, though his expression was troubled. “I just hate seeing everyone like this. It's like… we're all falling apart.”
Jeongin hesitated before reaching out, his fingers brushing Seungmin's. “We won't fall apart. Not completely.” Seungmin looked at him, surprised by the touch — and the quiet promise in his eyes.

The sun dipped low over Seoul, casting a warm orange glow through the windows of the Stray Kids' dorm building. In Minho and Jisung's flat, laughter spilled from the living room as the two lounged comfortably on the couch. Jisung sat cross-legged, strumming his guitar, while Minho leaned against him, scrolling on his phone.
“Hyung, you're so clingy today,” Jisung teased, though he didn't move away.
Minho raised an eyebrow. “You're the one who asked me to sit closer because you were cold.”
“Details, details,” Jisung mumbled, grinning.
Their quiet moment was interrupted by a knock at the door. Minho got up to answer it, revealing Seungmin and Jeongin standing there with snacks and drinks.
“Movie night?” Seungmin asked, already making his way in without waiting for an answer.
Jeongin followed closely behind, his eyes flicking nervously toward Seungmin before settling on the floor. Minho’s sharp eyes caught the glance, but he said nothing — for now.
As the movie started, the four of them settled in. Jisung nestled back against Minho's side without hesitation. Seungmin sat close to Jeongin, their hands brushing occasionally. Each time they did, Jeongin's face turned a little pinker.
Halfway through the film, Minho leaned closer to Jisung. “They’'e so obvious,” he whispered.
Jisung snorted softly. “I know, right?”
Meanwhile, Seungmin finally worked up the courage to lace his fingers with Jeongin's. Jeongin's breath hitched, but he didn't pull away. Instead, his grip tightened.
“About time,” Minho muttered.
“Shhh,” Jisung teased, nudging him. “Let them have their moment.” ————————————————————————— Y/N sat in her studio, the soft hum of a new track playing through the speakers. She closed her eyes, letting the melody wash over her — but the peacefulness didn't last long.
A knock on the door broke her focus. “Come in,” she called.
Felix stepped inside, his warm smile instantly making her heart skip a beat. “Working hard?”
“Always,” she teased, motioning for him to sit. “What's up?”
Felix hesitated, his usual brightness dimming. “I… just wanted to check on you. You’ve been pretty busy lately.”
Y/N softened. “I'm okay, Lix. Promise.”
Before he could respond, the door opened again — and Chan walked in.
“Oh, hey,” Chan greeted, his eyes flicking between them.
Felix's easy smile faltered. “Hey, hyung.”
The room grew thick with tension. Y/N felt it settle on her chest like a weight.
“I wanted to go over some of the new tracks,” Chan said, his gaze steady on her.
Felix stood up, his expression carefully neutral. “I'll leave you two to it.”
As he walked past, Y/N caught his wrist. “Lix—”
“It's fine,” he said softly, not meeting her eyes.
When the door closed behind him, she turned back to Chan. “You didn't have to do that.”
“Do what?” he asked, innocent.
She shook her head, frustration building. “Never mind.”
But the thought stayed with her long after Chan started talking — and she couldn't shake the feeling that everything was starting to spiral out of control.

The tension in the air was palpable. The members had been walking on eggshells around each other ever since the last heated confrontation between Chan and Felix. Y/N did her best to keep things light, but it was exhausting trying to mediate the unspoken conflict. Minho noticed her distress, always keeping a protective eye on her, but even his comforting presence couldn't fully ease the pressure she felt.
One evening, as Y/N sat alone in her dorm scrolling through her phone, there was a knock on her door. She opened it to find Felix standing there, his expression hesitant.
“Lixie… what's wrong?” she asked softly.
He sighed, stepping inside. “I… I needed to talk to you.”
They sat down on the couch, the silence stretching between them.
“I hate this,” Felix finally whispered. “The way things are now… the tension between me and Chan hyung. It's stupid, and I know I'm part of the problem, but—”
“You’re not the only one,” Y/N interrupted gently. “This isn't just on you, Lix. Chan hyung has his own faults, too.” Felix’s eyes softened as he looked at her. “It's just… I care about you so much. And seeing you get dragged into all this… it kills me.”
Before she could respond, there was another knock on the door. Y/N froze, already sensing who it was. When she opened the door, Chan stood there, his face clouded with an unreadable expression. “I… I think we need to talk,” he said quietly. ————————————————————————— The three of them sat in the dim light of Y/N’s living room, the atmosphere heavy with unspoken words.
“Look,” Chan started, his voice low and tired. “I know things have been weird lately. And I know a lot of that is my fault.”
Felix crossed his arms, clearly still on edge. “You think?”
“Lix,” Y/N warned softly.
Chan raised a hand. “No, it's fine. He has every right to be angry. I've been… careless. With my feelings, with my actions.” He turned to Y/N, his eyes filled with a vulnerability she rarely saw. “But the truth is… I don't know how to stay away from you.”
Felix's breath hitched, and Y/N felt her heart pound painfully in her chest.
“That's not fair,” Felix said, his voice shaking. “You have a girlfriend, hyung. You made your choice.”
Chan flinched. “I know. And I—”
Before he could finish, Felix stood up abruptly. “I can't do this.”
He left without another word, the door closing with a finality that made Y/N’s chest ache.
Chan reached for her hand. “Y/N, I—”
“Don't,” she whispered, pulling away. “Not when you’re still with her.”
The room fell into silence, the weight of their choices settling heavily between them.

𝒰𝓃𝓈𝓅𝑜𝓀𝑒𝓃 𝒸𝑜𝓁𝑜𝓇𝓈
Day 7 of To.X
Pairing: Hyunjin x F!reader Genre: Fan x idol, Friends to lovers Warning: none
Artemis' notes: Happy birthday my prince!!!
Tumblr media
Y/N had always admired Hyunjin from afar. His face lit up the stage, and his body seemed to speak the language of the music itself. She had been a fan of Stray Kids long before she landed an internship as a visual artist. Her work had always been inspired by the energy and emotion of the dancers she’d watched, but now that she was working alongside them, something changed.
Y/N was assigned to help with a special project—creating a series of art pieces for Stray Kids' upcoming concert tour. The very idea made her heart race. She'd be in the same room as him, and while she tried not to let her nervousness show, there was a strange flutter in her chest whenever Hyunjin was near.
The first time they truly spoke was an accident. Y/N was setting up some of her sketches in the studio when she heard his voice behind her.
“Is that your work?” His voice was warm, deep, and it made her heart skip a beat. She turned around quickly, startled, to find him standing just a few feet away, his gaze fixed on the large sketch she was working on.
“Oh, uh, yes. It's part of the project for your tour. I—I'm just getting started," Y/N stammered, suddenly feeling self-conscious. She wasn't sure if she was ready to show him her art, let alone have him look at it so intently.
“That's amazing,” he said, his smile softening his sharp features. "I can already feel the energy from it. The way you capture movement—it's like I can almost hear the music just by looking at it.”
Y/N blushed at the compliment, unsure of how to respond. “Thank you, that means a lot coming from you.”
There was a brief pause before Hyunjin shifted his weight, glancing at the other dancers who were preparing in the corner. "Maybe we could… collaborate sometime? You know, with your art and our choreography? I think the two could work really well together."
Her eyes widened. "You want to collaborate with me?"
He nodded, a slight glint of mischief in his eyes. "Yeah, I think it could be fun."
After that, everything changed. They began spending more time together. Hyunjin would stop by the art room during breaks, watching her paint, and sometimes offering suggestions, though his presence was enough to leave her distracted. She never imagined that the idol she had admired from her computer screen would show such genuine interest in her work, let alone in her.
And the more they spent time together, the more Y/N found herself looking at him in a way she hadn't expected—differently. She noticed how his eyes would soften when he smiled, the way his laugh was contagious, and the way his presence seemed to command attention without even trying. There was a charm about him, a magnetic energy that made it impossible to be near him without feeling her heart race.
But something else started to happen that Y/N couldn't ignore. She noticed the little ways Hyunjin's behavior began to change around her. He would ask about her day, not just the art, but her—her thoughts, her feelings, as though he genuinely cared. He would bring her coffee after long hours, his fingers brushing against hers as he handed her the cup, and though his touch was brief, it sent electric shivers up her spine.
One evening, after a late rehearsal, Hyunjin found her in the studio, still working on some final touches. The studio was empty, save for the two of them, and the soft hum of the lights above them.
"You should take a break," Hyunjin said, stepping closer to her.
Y/N looked up at him, her eyes tired but grateful. "I don't mind, I'm almost done."
He shook his head. "You've been working all day. You need to rest."
He didn't wait for her to protest before gently pulling her away from her easel and guiding her to a nearby couch. The warmth of his hand on her arm sent an unexpected rush of heat through her. As they sat together, the silence between them felt comfortable—so comfortable, in fact, that Y/N almost forgot to breathe.
For a moment, they simply sat there, watching the city lights flicker through the windows. Then, to her surprise, Hyunjin spoke, his voice quiet, almost hesitant.
“I’ve been meaning to tell you something,” he said, his gaze fixed on the floor. “I know I'm a public figure, and I'm usually surrounded by people, but… being around you feels different. You’re not like everyone else.”
Y/N’s heart skipped a beat at his words. She wasn't sure what to say. Her feelings for him had grown so quickly, and the idea that he might feel something similar was overwhelming.
“You make me feel like I can just be myself,” he continued, his voice steady but sincere. “Like I can just… be Hyunjin, not the idol. It’s rare to find someone who doesn’t treat me like a star. I like that about you.”
Y/N felt the room close in around her. She couldn’t contain the smile that tugged at her lips. “I like you, too,” she whispered, the words slipping out before she could stop them.
There was a long pause. Hyunjin’s eyes met hers, and for the first time, Y/N saw something in his gaze—something vulnerable, something real. He leaned in slightly, the space between them growing smaller, and before she knew it, his lips were on hers.
It was soft, tender, as though he was giving her the time to process, to pull away if she needed to. But Y/N didn’t want to pull away. She kissed him back, slowly, as if they were both savoring the moment they had been dancing around for weeks.
When they finally pulled away, both of them breathless, Hyunjin looked at her, his eyes full of warmth. “I've wanted to do that for a while.”
Y/N chuckled softly, her heart still racing. “I think I've wanted it too.”
From that moment, their connection only deepened. The lines between idol and fan, artist and muse, began to blur. They spent more time together outside the studio—quiet dates in cafes, walks around the city, late-night talks under the stars. Hyunjin became more than just the idol she had adored from afar; he became someone who knew her, understood her, and saw her in a way that no one else had.
And for Y/N, every moment with him felt like a masterpiece, a living canvas of love and connection. Their worlds had collided, not in the way she’d always imagined, but in a way that was even more beautiful than she could have ever dreamed.
Because in Hyunjin, she found more than a crush, more than a dream. She found a reality—one she never wanted to let go of.

Day 6 of To.X
Pairing: Hyunjin x F!reader Genre: Students au, enemies to lovers Warning: none
Tumblr media
Hyunjin had always viewed Y/N as a challenge, a puzzle he couldn't quite figure out. She was clever, sharp-tongued, and impossible to ignore. But what bothered him most was the way she had a habit of getting under his skin—making him feel both frustrated and intrigued at the same time.
The rivalry between them was thick, and neither of them was willing to back down. It wasn't until they were forced to work together on a long-term project that the edges of their animosity began to blur. Their late-night study sessions, filled with banter and sharp comments, slowly turned into something else. He began to notice the way her lips curled up slightly when she was about to make a point. The way her eyes would soften when she was focused on something important, like the project, or even when she was lost in thought.
One late night, they were at the library, sitting side by side at a table. Hyunjin had been focusing intently on his notes when he felt her gaze on him. Glancing up, he caught her staring at him, a little too long.
“What?” he asked, trying to keep his voice light, though his heart picked up pace.
Y/N seemed almost surprised that he noticed. She shifted slightly in her seat, her expression softening. “I don’t know… I guess I was just thinking about how much you’ve changed since we started this project.”
Hyunjin leaned back in his chair, surprised. “Changed? How?”
She shrugged slightly, eyes flicking to her work before meeting him again. “At first, you were all about proving something. But now… you actually listen. You don’t just argue for the sake of it.”
Hyunjin's heart skipped, but he didn't know how to respond to that. There was a vulnerability in her words, something he hadn't expected from the confident Y/N.
“You’re not exactly the person I thought you were either,” he said quietly. “I think we both assumed a lot about each other.”
Y/Nmet his gaze, her eyes softening for a brief moment. “Yeah. But maybe that’s not such a bad thing.”
The silence that followed felt different from the usual tension. There was no animosity in the air, no games being played. They were just two people, caught in the same moment of understanding.
And that moment lingered between them, growing into something neither of them could deny. Their conversations became more open, more real. They began to share parts of themselves they had kept hidden before—fears, insecurities, hopes for the future.
The turning point came one evening, after they had worked late into the night. The library had emptied out, and they were the only two left, packing up their things.
Hyunjin felt the weight of the night pressing on him, and the exhaustion in his limbs was finally catching up to him. He turned to Y/N, who was slowly organizing her notes, and couldn’t help but notice how the light from the overhead lamps highlighted the sharp lines of her face. For the first time, he saw her not just as a rival, but as something... more.
"Y/N," he said, his voice low, "do you ever... wonder about us? About this thing between us?"
Y/N paused, her fingers halting on the stack of papers she was arranging. She looked up at him, her expression unreadable. "What do you mean?"
He took a deep breath, gathering his thoughts. "I mean... how we started. The rivalry. It was so intense, but now... it's different. I feel like I'm starting to see you differently. Like we're not just enemies anymore."
There was a long pause as Y/N studied him, her gaze shifting from his eyes to his lips, then back to his eyes. She exhaled slowly, as if trying to calm the nerves that had suddenly appeared between them.
"Maybe we were never really enemies," she murmured, her voice barely above a whisper.
Hyunjin swallowed, his heart beating faster. His usual confidence seemed to vanish, leaving a rawness he wasn’t used to. "I don't know... but I think I'm starting to want something more than this."
Her eyes flickered, and for the first time, she didn't hide the softness in them. She set down her papers and moved closer to him, slowly, cautiously. “What if... what if we stopped pretending to be rivals?” Y/N whispered, her breath warm against his face.
Without thinking, Hyunjin closed the distance between them. Their lips met in a kiss that was gentle at first—tentative, as if both were testing the waters. It was nothing like the heated exchanges they'd had before. This was softer, sweeter. When they pulled apart, they were both breathing a little heavier, but there was no awkwardness, only the lingering warmth of what had just happened.
"Hyunjin," she whispered, her voice shaky, "I... I don't know what to call this, but it feels like something real."
He rested his forehead against hers, the feeling of her so close overwhelming him in the best way. “We don't have to call it anything right now,” he murmured. “We can just be here.”
Their closeness, the way they had leaned into each other, wasn't about power or proving a point anymore. It was about understanding, about breaking down the walls they had built around themselves over time.
From that night forward, things between them changed. They still had moments of playful teasing, still had their moments of disagreement. But there was something new, something deeper. They found themselves confiding in each other in a way neither had ever done before.
On a quiet evening a few weeks later, they found themselves on a rooftop, overlooking the city. The world below was bustling, but up here, it was just the two of them.
Hyunjin slid closer to her, feeling her warmth beside him. “This… this is nice,” he said, his voice low, as he watched the city lights twinkle.
Y/N leaned her head on his shoulder, closing her eyes. “Yeah. It's the only place I can actually relax.”
Hyunjin wrapped his arm around her, feeling the steady rhythm of her breathing. There was something so calm about this moment, about being with her like this. “Maybe we don't have to compete anymore,” he whispered.
Y/N's lips curved into a small smile. “Maybe we don't.”
And in that moment, they both knew that they were no longer the enemies they once were. What had started with rivalry and conflict had transformed into something more meaningful—something quiet and beautiful.
Their connection was no longer about winning or losing, but about sharing, understanding, and embracing the unspoken bond that had formed between them. In each other's arms, they found peace. And for the first time in a long time, Hyunjin felt like he had truly found someone who understood him, someone who was his equal.

The air in Y/N's apartment felt heavier than usual — thick with unsaid words and emotions she didn't dare name. After Felix had stormed out, leaving behind his quiet devastation, Y/N had been frozen in place. The look on his face haunted her, and the memory of Chan's touch on her skin still lingered, adding confusion to the cocktail of emotions swirling inside her.
She sat on the edge of the bed, running a hand through her hair with a frustrated sigh. This was getting too complicated — and the last thing she wanted was to hurt Felix. But what was she supposed to do when Chan's presence made her heart race in ways she couldn't ignore? When his arms around her felt like home? The sound of her phone buzzing snapped her out of her thoughts. She glanced at the screen and saw Minho’s name flashing. With a deep breath, she answered. “Hyung…?”
“Do I even want to know what’s going on?” Minho's voice was calm but tinged with suspicion. “Felix came into our dorm looking like his world just ended.”
Guilt twisted her stomach. “I… it's complicated, Minho.”
“It always is with you and Chan,” he muttered. “But you need to talk to Felix. You know how he feels about you.”
“I know,” she whispered. “But I—”
The sound of the front door opening made her whip around. Chan walked in, his face a mix of concern and determination. Their eyes met, and something unspoken passed between them — something dangerous.
“I have to go,” she said quickly into the phone before hanging up. She stood up, arms crossed over her chest as she watched Chan approach.
“Y/N…” His voice was soft, but there was something intense in his gaze. “We need to talk.”
“About Felix?” she asked, her voice sharper than she intended.
Chan flinched. “About us.”
Her breath caught. “Chan… you have a girlfriend.”
He ran a hand through his curls, frustration evident. “You know that's not what it looks like.”
“But it's still real,” she insisted, stepping back as he came closer. “And Felix—”
“I'm not Felix,” Chan cut her off gently, but firmly. “And you can't keep running from this.”
Before she could respond, there was a knock on the door. Both of them froze, and Y/N felt her heart drop when she heard Felix's voice on the other side.
“Y/N? Please… can we talk?”
She looked at Chan, then back at the door, torn between the two people who meant the most to her. The weight of the choice threatened to crush her.
“Please,” Felix's voice broke.
“Y/N,” Chan whispered, his eyes pleading.
And she stood there, unable to move, caught between love and loyalty.
—————————————————————————
Y/N stood frozen in the doorway of her dorm, the tension in the air so thick it was almost suffocating. Felix's eyes locked onto hers, his usual warm gaze clouded with something she couldn’t quite place — frustration? Hurt? Longing? Before she could say anything, Chan’s voice called from behind her.
“Y/N? Who's at the door?”
Her heart leaped into her throat as she glanced back toward the living room. Chan was sitting on her couch, hair tousled from sleep and his hoodie hanging loosely off one shoulder. It was the perfect image of comfort and familiarity, but with Felix standing right there, it suddenly felt all wrong.
“Uh… it's Lix,” she managed, her voice quieter than she intended.
Felix's brow twitched, his lips pressing into a thin line. “Can we talk?” he asked softly, his accent thicker than usual, which only happened when he was feeling emotional.
Y/N hesitated, glancing back at Chan, then at Felix. “Now…?”
“Please,” Felix said, his voice nearly a whisper.
She swallowed hard, nodding before stepping out and closing the door softly behind her.
They stood there in the hallway, the silence stretching between them. Felix shifted his weight, his hands shoved into the pockets of his hoodie.
“Why didn't you tell me?” he finally asked, his voice barely containing his emotion.
“Tell you what?” Y/N’s brow furrowed in confusion.
“That you've been spending so much time with Chan. That he stays over,” Felix said, his words sharp but quiet.
“Lix, it's not like that—”
“Then what is it like?” Felix cut her off, his eyes searching hers desperately. “Because I see the way he looks at you. And I see the way you look at him.”
Y/N's breath caught. She wanted to deny it, to say it wasn't true — but the words wouldn't come.
"I just… I need to know,” Felix whispered, stepping closer. “Do you… do you have feelings for him?”
The hallway suddenly felt too small, the walls closing in. “Lix, I—”
The door behind her creaked open.
“Y/N?” Chan's voice was soft, but his presence immediately shifted the air.
She turned, her heart pounding, caught between the two of them. Felix's eyes darkened as he looked past her at Chan.
“Maybe this was a mistake,” Felix muttered, taking a step back.
“Wait—” Y/N reached for him, but he was already turning away.
“Felix—” Chan started, but the door to the stairwell clicked shut before he could finish.
Y/N stood there, her hand still half-raised, the ache in her chest spreading.
“Y/N…” Chan's voice was gentle, his hand brushing her shoulder. “Are you okay?”
But she couldn't answer. Because she didn't know

𝐼 𝓁𝑜𝓋𝑒 𝓎𝑜𝓊, 𝐼'𝓂 𝓈𝑜𝓇𝓇𝓎
Day 5 of To.X
Pairing: Hyunjin x F!reader Genre: Angst, hurt / comfort, romance Warning: Breakup
Tumblr media
The cold breeze brushed through the narrow alley as the night deepened, its chill biting through Hyunjin's jacket. He sat on a stone bench under a flickering streetlight, his hands clenched around his phone, staring at a text message that was never sent. His heart felt heavy, weighed down by the words that could have been spoken, but never were.
I love you, I'm sorry.
The words hung in the air, but he couldn't bring himself to send them to her. Y/N. The girl who had danced through his life like a beam of light, so bright that it had been impossible to ignore her. Yet, somehow, he had let her slip away.
Their story had been like a song. At first, it was soft, gentle, filled with laughter and light. But then, the melody had become discordant, filled with missteps, misunderstandings, and regrets. He had been so caught up in the pressures of his own world, the demands of the stage, that he hadn't realized how far apart they were growing.
His phone buzzed in his hand, pulling him from his thoughts. It was a message from Felix.
Hyunjin, we're heading to the studio. Are you coming?
He hesitated. He didn't feel like facing anyone, not tonight. But then another thought crept into his mind: he couldn’t keep hiding. The others, his members, his brothers—they had always been there for him, even when he was lost in his own mind. Maybe they could help him find his way back.
With a deep breath, Hyunjin stood up, typing out a quick reply.
I'll be there soon.
At the studio, the other members of Stray Kids were gathered, working on their latest track. Chan was in the corner, his headphones on as he focused on a beat. Changbin was with him, bouncing his leg to the rhythm, while Jisung and Seungmin were deep in conversation about the lyrics. Jeongin was laughing at something one of them had said, but when he noticed Hyunjin walking in, his smile faded slightly.
“You okay, Hyunjin?” Changbin asked, his voice low and steady, like always.
Hyunjin nodded, though it wasn't convincing. “Yeah, just a lot on my mind.”
Felix caught his eye, his expression softening. He knew what it was. The way Hyunjin had been quiet lately, distracted. Felix had seen it all—how his best friend had been trying to juggle the stress of work and the weight of a relationship that was slowly falling apart.
“I'm here if you want to talk, hyune,” Felix said, offering him a comforting smile.
Hyunjin ran a hand through his hair, avoiding his gaze. He didn't want to burden anyone. “I don't know what to do anymore. It's… everything just feels so messed up.”
Chan, who had been quietly listening from across the room, walked over and placed a hand on Hyunjin's shoulder. “You know, sometimes we get so caught up in everything around us that we forget the most important thing is to just be honest with ourselves and the people we care about.”
Jisung nodded, his usual playfulness replaced by a rare seriousness. “It's not always easy to admit our mistakes, Hyunjin. But sometimes, just saying what's in your heart can make all the difference.”
Hyunjin bit his lip. He hadn't realized how much his members understood. They were his brothers, after all. His heart ached with guilt. “I messed up with Y/N. I didn't listen to her. I took her for granted. Now, I'm scared it'S too late.”
The room fell quiet as the others exchanged looks. Seungmin, ever the voice of reason, spoke up softly. “You can't change the past, but you can try to make things right. It's never too late if you're willing to try.”
Hyunjin felt the weight of their words sink in. He had always prided himself on his strength, his ability to overcome challenges. But this... this was different. It wasn't a challenge he could face alone.
Felix clapped his hands together, breaking the tension. “You've got us, Hyunjin. Don’t forget that.”
Later that evening, after the recording session had ended, Hyunjin found himself walking down the familiar path toward Y/N's apartment. His heart raced with every step, and the cold wind seemed to press against him harder as if it was trying to stop him. He had no idea what to expect. Would she be angry? Would she even want to see him?
When he reached her door, he hesitated for a moment before knocking. He heard movement from inside, and the door slowly creaked open. There she was—Y/N, standing in the doorway, looking at him with a mixture of surprise and caution.
“Hyunjin,” she said softly, her voice almost a whisper.
“I... I'm sorry,” he blurted out, the words tumbling out before he could stop them. “I've been so focused on myself that I forgot to be there for you. I didn't listen, and I hurt you. I never meant to. But I love you. I always have.”
Y/N’s eyes softened, but there was still a trace of sadness in them. “You left me, Hyunjin. And I... I don't know if I can just forget that.”
Hyunjin felt his chest tighten. “I know I don't deserve your forgiveness. But I'm willing to do whatever it takes. I don't want to lose you. I love you, Y/N.”
There was a long silence before she finally spoke, her voice barely audible. “I've missed you too, Hyunjin. But I need time. I need to know that you'll be there this time, that you'll listen. You don't have to fix everything right away. Just... be real with me.”
Hyunjin nodded, his heart swelling with relief. “I promise. I'll be here. I'm sorry for everything.”
As she closed the door softly, Hyunjin turned around, his heart lighter than it had been in weeks. The night still held a chill, but for the first time in a long while, he felt like he could breathe again.
Back at the studio, as the members gathered for the night's last meeting, Hyunjin felt a sense of calm settle over him. He had made the first step, and that was enough for now. He smiled at his brothers, feeling their support even from afar.
“I did it,” he whispered to himself.
And somewhere deep down, he knew that everything would be okay.

Day 4 of To.X
Pairing: Hyunjin x F!reader Genre: omegaverse, drunken confession, friends to lovers. alpha!reader x beta!hyunjin Warning: Potential power imbalanced
Tumblr media
The night was young, but the party at Jisung and Minho's apartment had already started to wind down. The laughter and chatter filled the space, mixing with the soft music in the background. Y/N leaned against the kitchen counter, watching her brother and his Alpha boyfriend, Minho, having their usual playful banter. It was comfortable, like it always was when they all gathered together. Everyone had their roles—Jisung was the energetic Omega, Minho the confident Alpha, and Y/N the driven, assertive Alpha who had everything together.
But it wasn't the same without Hyunjin.
Her eyes searched the room, landing on him sitting on the couch, a glass of wine in his hand, looking as composed as always—but something in his gaze caught her attention. Hyunjin, a Beta, had always been the calm, thoughtful friend who offered the perfect balance to her fierce personality. He was the one person who understood her in ways no one else did, the one who didn't expect her to be perfect or constantly in control. The two had been best friends for years, sharing everything, from small jokes to deep conversations.
But recently, something had felt... different. There was an unspoken tension, a subtle shift in the air whenever they were together. Y/N didn't understand it, and she didn’t like the fact that she couldn't control it.
"Y/N," Jisung's voice broke through her thoughts, bringing her back to reality. He was leaning against the doorframe, an amused smirk playing on his face. "I think someone's been eyeing you all night."
She raised an eyebrow. "Who?"
"Hyunjin," he teased, his grin widening. "I think he might be a little tipsy."
Y/N glanced at Hyunjin again. Sure enough, there was a slight flush to his cheeks, his posture a little less rigid than usual. He was leaning back, his legs spread out in a relaxed manner, his eyes locked on her in a way that felt a little too intense for the usual easy-going friend dynamic they shared. She felt a strange flutter in her chest, but she shook it off. Hyunjin was her best friend. It was probably nothing.
By the time Hyunjin stood up from the couch, Y/N noticed that he had definitely drunk more than usual. He stumbled slightly as he approached her, his movements slower, his words slurring just a little.
"Y/N," he said, his voice soft but teasing. "You know you’re... you're always so strong, so dominant. You never let anyone... anyone in."
Y/N, who had been standing in the kitchen, turned to face him. Her brows furrowed slightly. "What are you talking about, Hyunjin?"
He took another step toward her, his eyes narrowing in an almost playful, but drunken haze. "You always have this... this shield up. Like you have to carry everything... and you don't need anyone." He smiled, but it was a lopsided grin. "But I know you, Y/N. I know that sometimes... sometimes you're just tired. You don't always want to be the one in charge. You don't always want to be the one holding it all together."
Y/N blinked, a rush of heat hitting her chest. It wasn't like Hyunjin to say something like that, especially in front of everyone. He had always been respectful of her space, never pushing too far.
She straightened up, instinctively asserting her usual confident, dominant stance. "I'm fine, Hyunjin. I don't need anyone to worry about me."
Hyunjin’s gaze softened, but there was a vulnerability in his eyes that Y/N had never seen before. "I'm not worried about you," he said quietly. "I'm just..." He trailed off, shaking his head as if trying to gather his thoughts. "I just want you to know... that I see you."
The words hung in the air between them, and Y/N felt a sudden tightness in her chest. She didn't know why, but hearing him say that made her feel exposed, as if the walls she had so carefully built around herself were crumbling, bit by bit.
"You don't need to worry about me," Y/N repeated, her voice more forceful this time. She wasn't sure if she was trying to convince him or herself. "I've got everything under control."
Hyunjin’' eyes flickered with something unreadable, but then he took a slow step closer to her. "But I want to be there for you, Y/N. I don't care if you're an Alpha and you're supposed to be strong... I want to be the one you lean on."
Her breath caught in her throat. She knew he wasn't entirely sober, but there was a truth in his words that hit her deeper than she was willing to admit. The weight of his gaze, the sincerity in his voice, made her stomach twist in a way she couldn't explain. Her usual control, her dominant presence, wavered for a split second.
"Hyunjin..." she started, but her voice trailed off as she tried to find the right words.
He wasn’t done yet. Taking another step forward, Hyunjin placed a hand on her arm, his fingers light but steady. "I've always been here, Y/N. But I've never told you... that I... I care about you more than I should."
Her heart raced, and for a moment, everything around them faded. The laughter and chatter from the others in the room disappeared. It was just her and Hyunjin, standing in the center of the kitchen, the air heavy with unspoken words.
"You can't say things like that, Hyunjin," she said, her voice firm, trying to regain control. But her own words felt hollow as they left her mouth.
"Why not?" he asked, his voice a little rough. "I'm not saying it to hurt you. I'm saying it because I care about you in a way I can't ignore anymore."
Y/N’s eyes softened for a moment, but she quickly masked the vulnerability with a cold, distant smile. "I'm your friend, Hyunjin. You don't need to say things like that."
He was close now—closer than he had ever been before. She could feel the heat of his body, the almost tangible pull between them. Her Alpha instincts were telling her to step back, to reassert her dominance, to protect herself from whatever this was, but something in her didn't want to pull away.
"I'm not just saying it because I'm drunk, Y/N," Hyunjin murmured, his voice barely above a whisper. "I'm saying it because I’ve always felt this way. I just... I didn't know how to say it before."
Y/N stood frozen, her heart pounding in her chest. She had never seen Hyunjin like this before. He was always the one to keep her grounded, to keep her in check when her emotions got the better of her. But now, with the vulnerability he was showing her, she couldn’t help but feel that everything she had built, all the walls she'd put up to keep her emotions in check, were starting to crumble.
"Hyunjin..." She was about to say something, but his next words stopped her.
"I'm not asking you to change, Y/N. I know you're strong. I know you don't need anyone. But I just want you to know... I’ve always been here, even when you didn't need me."
The confession hit her harder than she expected, and for a brief, dangerous moment, Y/N allowed herself to feel. To feel the weight of his words, to feel the pull of his presence, and to feel the truth in her heart that she had been ignoring for far too long.
"Hyunjin..." She whispered his name this time, her voice softer. She didn’t know what to say or what to do, but for the first time in a long while, she let herself drop her guard.
"Just... let me be here," he said, his voice gentle but insistent. "Just let me in, Y/N."
For a long moment, Y/N stood there, their eyes locked in a silent understanding. She wasn't sure what would happen next, but for the first time in a long time, she let herself breathe, let herself feel the weight of the connection between them.
And maybe, just maybe, it was time to stop fighting the pull.

Day 3 of To.X
Pairing: Hyunjin x F!reader Genre: Best friend's sister, romance, drama, established relationship Warning: Mild violence
Tumblr media
Hyunjin knew they had to be careful. Dating Y/N — Changbin's younger sister — was like walking a tightrope over a pit of fire. If Changbin ever found out, Hyunjin didn't even want to imagine the consequences.
But it was so hard to stay away.
Today, Y/N had come over to the dorm to hang out with everyone. She had been around plenty of times before, so no one thought much of it. Still, Hyunjin couldn't help the way his eyes followed her, the way his hand brushed hers when no one was looking. He thought they were being subtle — until Seungmin started watching them.
Seungmin's eyes narrowed, his gaze flickering between the two of them as if piecing together a puzzle. And then came the moment that nearly unraveled everything.
“Hyunjin, can you pass me the remote?” Y/N asked sweetly.
Before he could think, Hyunjin reached for it and handed it to her — but their fingers lingered a second too long. The look they exchanged was soft, warm. And Seungmin saw it.
The room went quiet.
Seungmin's eyebrows rose slowly. “Are you two…?”
Hyunjin’s heart nearly stopped. Y/N’s eyes went wide. But before either of them could answer, the front door burst open.
“Yo, I'm back!” Changbin called cheerfully, kicking off his shoes.
Seungmin’s face split into a slow, evil grin. “Ohhh, this is gonna be fun.”
Hyunjin swallowed hard. They were so screwed.
“Fun?” Changbin asked, looking from Seungmin to the frozen pair on the couch. “What's fun?”
“Nothing!” Hyunjin and Y/N said in perfect unison, way too fast.
Changbin's eyes narrowed suspiciously. “Uh-huh. You guys are weird.”
Seungmin's grin widened. “You have no idea.”
Before he could spill, Hyunjin shot him a desperate look. “Seungmin, can I talk to you for a second? In private?” Without waiting for an answer, he grabbed Seungmin's wrist and dragged him down the hall.
Once they were safely out of earshot, Hyunjin whirled on him. “Please don't say anything!” he begged in a frantic whisper.
Seungmin crossed his arms, clearly enjoying this way too much. “So it's true? You and Y/N?”
Hyunjin ran a hand through his hair, exhaling heavily. “Yes, okay? But you can't tell Changbin. You know how he is — he'll lose it!”
Seungmin tapped his chin thoughtfully. “You know, I think I deserve something in exchange for my silence.”
Hyunjin's eyes widened. “You're blackmailing me?”
Seungmin shrugged. “I prefer to think of it as… strategic negotiation.”
“Fine! What do you want?”
Seungmin grinned. “I'll let you know when I think of something.”
Hyunjin groaned. “You're evil.”
“I know.” Seungmin patted his shoulder. “But hey, at least your secret's safe. For now.”
When they returned to the living room, Y/N was still looking anxious, and Changbin was eyeing them suspiciously.
“What were you two talking about?” Changbin asked.
“Nothing,” Seungmin said smoothly, flopping onto the couch.
“Nothing,” Hyunjin echoed, though his voice cracked slightly.
Changbin squinted at them. “You're both terrible liars.”
Before he could press further, Felix called from the kitchen. “Changbin! Help me with this!”
With a last suspicious glance, Changbin headed off, leaving Hyunjin and Y/N to breathe a sigh of relief.
“We're doomed,” Y/N whispered.
“Not yet,” Hyunjin said, though he wasn't feeling very confident.
The next few days were torture. Seungmin dropped hints at every opportunity, clearly having the time of his life.
“Hyunjin, you've been awfully distracted lately,” he'd say with a sly smile.
Or, “Y/N, you've been coming over a lot. Got a special reason?”
Every time, Hyunjin felt his heart stop. But Changbin, thankfully, remained oblivious.
Until one afternoon when everything fell apart.
The dorm was unusually quiet. Hyunjin and Y/N had stolen a rare moment alone, curled up together on the couch. They kept their voices low, their laughter soft, as they enjoyed the rare peace.
But they didn't hear the front door open.
“Hey, Y/N, I—”
Changbin’s voice cut off sharply.
They looked up slowly — and there he was, standing in the doorway, eyes wide as he took in the sight of them snuggled up together.
Hyunjin felt his soul leave his body.
“WHAT IS GOING ON?!” Changbin's voice was so loud, it probably shook the building.
Y/N jumped up. “Oppa, wait—”
“You—him—WHAT?!” Changbin pointed at Hyunjin, his face turning red. “HYUNJIN!”
“I CAN EXPLAIN!” Hyunjin yelped, scrambling to his feet.
“I DON'T THINK YOU CAN!” Changbin was already advancing, looking like he was ready to strangle him.
Before things could escalate further, Chan and Minho suddenly appeared, stepping between them.
“Alright, everyone calm down,” Chan said in his leader voice, holding up his hands. “Let's take a breath.”
“Hyunjin, what were you thinking?!” Changbin fumed, but Minho put a hand on his shoulder.
“Let's hear them out first,” Minho said calmly. “No murder today.”
Felix joined them then, his soothing presence doing wonders. “Binnie, breathe,” he said gently, his deep voice soft and steady. “You trust your sister, right?”
Changbin's chest heaved, but Felix's words and the calm support from Chan and Minho slowly helped him settle.
“How long has this been going on?” Changbin finally asked, his voice still tight.
“Six months,” Y/N said quietly.
“Six—SIX MONTHS?!” Changbin's voice cracked.
“Oppa, please,” she said gently. “I love him.”
That stopped him in his tracks.
Hyunjin's heart skipped a beat. She'd never said that out loud before.
Changbin looked between them, his face softening slightly — but then he glared at Hyunjin again. “You. Outside. Now.”
Hyunjin gulped. “Okay.”
The two of them stood in the courtyard, the air thick with tension.
“You hurt her, and I will end you,” Changbin said quietly.
“I won't,” Hyunjin said earnestly. “I swear, I love her.”
Changbin studied him for a long moment — then sighed. “I still want to punch you.”
“That's fair.”
“You get one free pass. After that, you're dead.”
“Understood.”
When they went back inside, Y/N was waiting anxiously.
“Well?” she asked.
Changbin grunted. “I still don't like it. But… if he makes you happy…”
She beamed and hugged him. “Thank you, oppa.”
Hyunjin smiled in relief — until Seungmin walked by and said, “See? I told you this would be fun.”
Hyunjin glared at him. “You're the worst.”
“I know,” Seungmin said cheerfully.
But at least the secret was finally out.

Day 2 of To.X
Pairing: Hyunjin x F!reader Genre: Romance, angst, hurt / comfort Warning: Unrequited love, bittersweet
Tumblr media
The last day of high school felt surreal. The corridors were filled with laughter, tears, and promises to keep in touch. Y/N walked through the crowd, clutching a glass jar filled with tiny, colorful paper stars. Each one was carefully folded, delicate and perfect — a reflection of the quiet feelings she had kept hidden for so long.
Y/N and Hyunjin had been classmates since their first year. They weren’t exactly close, but they shared a quiet kind of companionship. Sitting next to each other in class, they would exchange small conversations and help each other with notes and assignments. Hyunjin was warm and easygoing, always quick with a smile, and even though they had their own separate friend circles, there was a comfortable familiarity between them.
Over the years, Y/N’s quiet admiration for him grew into something deeper. She never told anyone — not even her closest friends — because she knew Hyunjin never saw her that way. But the way he laughed, the way he’d lean over her desk to explain something, the way his eyes softened when he listened — those moments stayed with her.
Taking a deep breath, Y/N walked up to him. "Hey, Hyunjin," she said, her voice steady despite the storm inside her.
He turned toward her, his smile warm. "Hey, Y/N. Crazy day, huh?"
"Yeah," she agreed, her fingers tightening around the jar. "I… I wanted to give you something."
Hyunjin's eyes flickered with curiosity as she held out the jar. He took it carefully, examining the stars with a gentle kind of wonder. "You made these?"
She nodded. "Yeah. Just… something to remember our time in school. And, um—" She hesitated, then pulled out a small envelope from her bag. "This, too."
For a moment, he just looked at her, his expression softening. "Thank you," he said quietly. "This… this means a lot."
Y/N forced a smile, her heart pounding. "I hope you have a good future, Hyunjin."
He smiled back. "You too."
That night, Hyunjin sat on his bed, the jar glowing softly in the light of his lamp. He opened the letter first, unfolding the paper with care.
Hyunjin,
I don't know if you'll ever read this, but if you are — thank you. For being my friend, for making our time in class brighter. You probably never noticed, but I always admired you. Your kindness, your laugh, the way you made people feel comfortable… you have this light that draws people in. And I was one of them.
I never had the courage to tell you how I felt, but I wanted you to know that you made my days better just by being you. I hope life takes you to wonderful places — you deserve every happiness.
Goodbye, Hyunjin. I'll miss you.
—Y/N
Years passed. The jar of stars stayed on Hyunjin's shelf, a quiet reminder of his high school days. Sometimes he'd look at it and smile, thinking of the sweet girl who had given it to him, but he never opened the stars.
One day, while moving apartments, the jar slipped from his hands and shattered on the floor. Colorful stars scattered everywhere. As he crouched to pick them up, one of the stars had unfolded slightly. Curious, he smoothed it out and read the tiny message inside.
You smiled at me today. It made my whole week.
Frowning, Hyunjin picked up another star and carefully unfolded it.
I wish you knew how much I admire you.
His breath caught. With growing urgency, he opened more stars, reading messages filled with quiet affection and memories he hadn't realized they'd shared. The weight of everything left unsaid hit him all at once.
He sat there on the floor, surrounded by stars, his heart pounding — and for the first time, he saw Y/N’s feelings laid bare.

Y/N sat on the edge of her bed, the silence of her dorm pressing heavily around her. Chan's lingering warmth still clung to the sheets, and she could hear the faint sound of his breathing from where he still slept.
Her heart clenched painfully. What was she doing? Why was she letting things get so tangled between them?
For a long moment, she just sat there, staring at the phone in her hand. She knew she should wake him up—he had a girlfriend waiting for him, after all. But as she turned to look at Chan, still curled up in her bed, her heart wavered.
“Why do you make this so hard?” she whispered.
Slowly, she reached out and brushed a strand of hair off his forehead. He stirred slightly, his brows furrowing before his eyes fluttered open.
“Mmm… Y/N?” his voice was groggy and soft, and the way he said her name sent a shiver through her.
"You need to go. I am meeting up with Minho Hyung later for practise"
Chan’s body tensed, and for a moment, neither of them moved. Then he sat up, rubbing the sleep from his eyes. “Right. I… I should probably go.”
But he didn't move. He just sat there, looking at her with a conflicted expression.
“Chan… we can't keep doing this,” she whispered.
“I know,” he said, his voice barely audible. “But I don't know how to stop.”
Before she could respond, there was a knock on her door.
“Y/N? It's me.”
Felix.
Her heart jumped into her throat. She looked at Chan, panic flashing in her eyes. “Stay here,” she whispered before getting up and opening the door for Felix to come in.
“Hey, Lix,” she greeted, trying to sound normal.
He smiled, but his eyes flicked behind her, clearly suspicious. “I thought I'd bring you breakfast… but you look like you're… busy?”
“I—” she started, but the door to her bedroom creaked open.
And there stood Chan.
The look on Felix's face shattered her.
“Lix—”
But he was already walking away.
“Felix, wait!” she called, but he didn’t stop.
“Let him go,” Chan said quietly from behind her.
“I can't,” she whispered, her voice breaking. And without another word, she ran after him.
“Felix! Please!”
He finally stopped at the entrance of the building, his shoulders tense. “What's going on, Y/N?”
“It's not what it looks like,” she said desperately.
“Then what is it? Because it sure looks like I walked in on something I shouldn't have.”
She didn't know what to say. The truth felt too messy, too painful.
“Lix, you're my best friend—”
“Am I?” he cut her off, his voice bitter. “Because it feels like there’s a lot you’re not telling me.”
“I… I can't,” she whispered.
He shook his head, his face filled with hurt. “Then I don't know if I can keep doing this.”
“Doing what?” her voice cracked.
“Loving you,” he said, and the words hit her like a punch to the gut.
Before she could respond, he was gone.
And behind her, Chan stood watching.
“What have I done?” she whispered.
But neither of them had an answer.
