relevant images for today's fuckery; not specifically just for the red dead fandom, but it seems to be a discussion that still has not relented over the course of rdr2's emergence.
and i, a queer man, am frankly tired of cishet fans and other lgbtq+ fans alike when it comes to the harassment people get from these "word of god" fans because someone said xyz character isn't cishet

I love Auron. He is such an absolute dork. Like yeah he is also big scary mob boss dom guy… but more importantly he is a little man loser who writes fanfiction about his crush, and I would actually die for him.

a lil simon ocd comic set some time in the first year or two after cawm, i think he'd struggle a lot with having his mental filter back after 1000 years without it and try to beat back a lot of perfectly benign thoughts he'd had no problem with as ice king

Sera's reaction to seeing Pentious in Heaven isn't just her being shocked at a Sinner managing to get up there, it's also a silent realization that who knows how many millennia of genocide in Hell was all for nothing. Sinners can be redeemed, and she's likely realizing that the Exorcists have killed thousands who very well could've redeemed themselves into getting into Heaven otherwise.
Not only that, but even if Heaven would try to judge Hell for killing Adam and many Exorcists, they would be in hot water anyway for two reasons:
1) While Lucifer agreed to let the annual extermination happen, he never said he would stop Sinners from fighting back in self-defense if they get a chance;
2) As noted above, his contract with Heaven was broken the moment Adam (an angel) tried to kill Charlie (a hellborn demon), someone who was supposed to be spared by such blasphemous genocide.

In his final moments, Adam was ranting that the Sinners should be worshipping him like a god simply because he's the one responsible for their existence despite being the one personally responsible for the Exterminations they endure every year just because he’s written them off as irredeemable monsters who blew their chance at Heaven and deserve to be sadistically slaughtered just for being demons, as well as outright calling them “ungrateful, disgusting losers" to their faces.
At that moment, Adam breaks the first law of the Ten Commandments:"Thou shalt have no other gods before me" and gets stabbed In the back by Niffty, who's just as crazy than him, showing that despite being an angel, he's no god, but as human and petty as any Sinner … and every abusive father who feels entitled to their children's admiration and respect just because they gave them life.
It also shows Adam's inflated ego and overblown sense of self-importance over being the original man since he bragged about it constantly, but being the first man doesn’t make him “special” or “better” than anyone else- because there’s nothing about him that makes him stand out from any other human that came after besides the fact that he came first. And during his fight with Alastor, he arrogantly boats that a “mortal” soul is “no match" for him, conveniently overlooking the fact that he’s a mortal soul himself.

What if Millie's own insecurities come from her family life?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
While she has very loving parents in comparison to the rest of the group, Millie's parents still somewhat scold her on certain aspects of her life, such as her violent behavior discredit her assassination work as "freelance" despite getting paid. She might also feel jealous of and overshadowed by her other siblings, specifically Sallie Mae.
Millie's need for adoration from other people stems from the fact that the Wrath Ring deemed her a pariah for murdering at least nine people during the Pain Games, with only her family and I.M.P supporting her. As much as she enjoys killing people, she also wants to be seen as a normal person rather than feared due to her violent nature.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
In "Unhappy Campers", it turns out that Millie feels like a third wheel sometimes and she just wants that acknowledgment and fulfillment of being praised for being her instead of screamed at by her victims when she's murdering them. But in her moment to shine, she can't get the support of her own husband initially.

Stolas deciding to stay and assist Asmodeus in the safe return of Fizzarolli makes sense for a number of reasons:
First, Stolas was a victim of kidnapping only a week ago and while he's not perfect, he doesn't hold the same level of contempt of imps like his ex-wife. As such, Stolas would feel empathy for Fizz and try his best to assist him.
Second, given how badly kept Fizz and Ozzie's romance is, it's likely that Stolas is also aware. Plus, he's now trying to free Blitzo from their previous arrangement out of genuine love for the imp. As such, seeing another demon lord (a Sin no less) about to lose his imp lover, may have caused Stolas to try and help to prevent another similar pairing be separated.
Third, since he was given a good view of the recording, it's highly likely he saw Striker, the man who kidnapped, tortured, and attempted to kill him very recently. And Stolas probably didn't want another person to fall victim to Striker's hands.
Another could also be pragmatism. Since he failed to get the crystal from Asmodeus due to Fizz's hatred of Blitzo, perhaps he figured that helping Ozzie get Fizz back could make either of them grateful enough to change their minds.

Charlie's Anger at Vaggie
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I just NEED to talk about these shots that Charlie gives to Vaggie. And I'm not really good at long analysis, so I'll be doing bullet points and on why this speaks to me.
The usually chipper and lively Charlie is now dead serious and angry. That should tell you how serious she took being lied to by Vaggie. Granted, she also had other issues on her mind, but her girlfriend's secret is what making her angry here.
2. The specific lines Charlie gives to Vaggie - in the first one, "If you did know [about ability to kill Angels], would you have told me?"; and in the second one, "You with us?" The first line is obvious why she would say it but still so painful; but the second line, when Charlie angrily asks if Vaggie is with her and Alastor hits me the most - Vaggie has been the most loyal and steadfast in Charlie's dream but now Charlie is doubting that (as confirmed later on in her talk with Rosie) and I get it - Charlie is hurt and maybe feels betrayed by Vaggie lying about her past. Still hurts though.
3. Just..the look of cold anger on Charlie's face. We've seen her be comedicly angry; we've seen her be demon angry (i.e., about to kill Valentino, fighting against Adam, etc.). But this anger? That is just cold. And I think it speaks VOLUMES to how Vaggie's lie hurt her,
4. And...the animation they did on Charlie's eye to convey her pain. It's both beautiful and painful.
5. And those are the thoughts I can think of. If anyone else has their own thoughts, please say it.

In most forms of media, the whole "my girlfriend/boyfriend has been keeping a secret and I'm angry" situation has the angered lover making "I don't think we should be together" or "we should break up if I can't trust you" statements.
Vaggie didn't even attempt to justify her secrecy to Charlie. In most situations like this in media, when a character would keep a big secret from their significant other, the secret keeper attempts to rationalize their deceit. However, Vaggie doesn't do that, or she might've done when they came home, but we didn't see it anyway. Either way, Vaggie understands the pain she caused Charlie and doesn't attempt to make an excuse for herself.
In this case, Charlie's expressing a very justified hurt that Vaggie couldn't trust her when Charlie knows that she has proven herself to be incredibly understanding and open as a partner, but at no point does she say that she's lost trust in Vaggie. And while Charlie gave Vaggie a cold stare earlier, she never made a comment about planning or wanting to break up with her. Even when she felt lied to, Charlie never thought of ending her romance with Vaggie. She still sends Vaggie to get them help from Carmilla, showing that in spite of everything, Vaggie will always be someone that Charlie trusts.
