In lieu of the recent Supreme Court ruling dictating that the definition of a woman in the Equality Act 2010 is based on biological sex, I write to you with grave concern about this matter.

I deeply fear for the safety of my transgender friends who now may not be able to do something as simple as use a public bathroom that aligns with their gender lawfully. Exclusion of trans women from women's only spaces is blatant discrimination and completely undermines British values of acceptance and equality.

I strongly urge you to speak out against this ruling and support the trans women of not only your constituency, but of the entire United Kingdom. My trans women friends are extremely scared for the implications of this ruling. All support matters and you are in a position to enact significant change by speaking out against this discriminatory ruling.
