Me months later... after getting absolutely nothing done except losing my own mind over this DAMN PLOT...

Re-blogging this now that I’ve re-written it, be warned, Leonardo’s individual post also needs to be re-written.

Project: Find My Family

I’m happy to announce that I’ve started on my own Seperated AU!

As of right now, I’m unsure of how I’ll share content about it as I’m not an artist, but I’ll figure it out eventually. But a warning, It’ll be slow. That’s just how I work and I backtrack a lot.

I don’t want to just call it a separated au, so it’s officially called: Project: Find my Family (PFMF)

I’m not sure who made the original idea of these separated au’s originally, but the first person I saw do it was @cupcakeslushie and I loved it.

For my take on the AU, this is what I’ve come up with:

Mikey grows up and starts with Splinter.

A good, loving father who tries his best to give him the best life despite their poverty and unfortunate circumstances. He’s grown up hearing his Dad talk about his brothers and he really wants to find them. Unfortunately, he isn’t able to start this journey of his for a long time– as Splinter doesn’t let him out until he can defend himself. Splinters efforts as a father turn Mikey into a confident, kind, and street-smart kid with an extraordinary, quick-thinking mind and a refined ninja. 

There’s definitely more to our main character, but all you need to know right now is Mikey is an ambitious and good person with flaws– More information on him will come in his individual post

Raph starts on his own, wandering the sewers aimlessly.

He’s made it down to the Hidden City where he’d gotten close to the Mud Dogs, who had eventually gotten caught for their crimes. From there, he makes it back to the surface, meeting and helping Repo, sleeping in Hueso’s, and finally meeting the girl who would lead him to a new life; April. Soon he ends up being taken out of his drain and brought into the family as an official member of the O’Neil family. 

He’s clumsy, but kind and has a strong sense of morality. Growing up with April meant gaining her fiery passion and big opinions. More on him will be shared in his individual post.

Getting into the final stretch, we move onto Leo. 

In the beginning, Leo starts out with no one but himself. Much like Raph, he had to fend for himself, running around the Hidden City for a good portion of his life. Eventually, he finds and stays with the Mud Dogs and some other kid. When they’re gone, he continues going around the city as a skilled thief before being found by Draxum at the age of five– After unknowingly signing his life away, the harsh training starts,

Leo grows up into a Mercenary by the name of Apex; A feared figure in the Hidden City and even the back streets of New York- and he’s given some twisted sense of freedom to do and go anywhere he likes so long as he always comes back.

Leo is merciless, he’s calculated, intelligent and aloof. A prodigy with a conditioned face and confidence to carry him through the harsh life he was dealt. More information on him will be given in his individual post.

Lastly, we close out with Donnie.

Donnie ends up found by Big Mama, a loving mother who treated him like a prince and expected everyone else to do the same. She spoiled and encouraged all his creative endeavors wholly. Growing up, he met a lot of people, most being business partners to his mother and one of those people was Draxum. He got to know Draxums shadow and was given training, but his life takes a turn for the worse at the age of twelve; the day he was taken from his mother and forced into a life he never asked for. From Donnie, Draxum turns him into Pj. 

Pj is a project Draxum had been hoping to execute since he saw him for the first time and so he did. Donnie has “died” and in his place, Pj was born. 

As he grows, Pj becomes an aloof husk, but even through the things he’s put through, he still stays cocky– no matter how it was forced down. He’s intelligent and powerful, the failed child prodigy even if his intelligence laps Leo’s and he’s rather unhinged.
