Apologies I said I’d do more updates and then just… dipped lol

I promise that this game WILL be finished since having a finished Yume Nikki Fangame is a part of my bucket list, but for now it is basically on the back burner as my 10+ year old cintiq that I used to make the pixel art with finally died rip

I don’t really have the time or room to get a new one right now, but I’m hoping in the future I can so I can get back to work on the art portion of the game! 💙

For now it may just be coding if I’m able to, so at least things can be tested since my way of “coding” is truly just trial and error and praying it works lol

Late night flowchart of my game so far~

I blocked out stuff like effects, photo locations, and other secrets planned, but I thought I’d show off how many worlds there are and stuff 👀

Green check marks mean the worlds are 100% finished, red check marks means they’re about 50% finished, and blanks mean there isn’t anything finished yet

There’s around 40 worlds I have planned for dreamers to explore! I just need to actually get the motivation to finish more of them soon :,D

Just want to say I updated the download for Caged with minor sprite and bug fixes! 💙

There are also a bit more things to do and places to see, but nothing really major/all that note worthy lol

I did also replace one of the photographs cause the OG image (listed below for archival purposes lol) had an iPhone and I wanted the time period to be a little more ambiguous~

Is anyone still here??

So uh… I see it’s been almost a WHOLE YEAR since my last post ahah

But I came in here to say apologies for no response for a long time! I ended up putting all my games on a back burner as life got busy and I moved on to being a VTuber 👁️🎀

I hadn’t had inspiration for the games for a long time… until I found out that recently two guys streamed my game! 😭💙

It shocked me so much that it inspired me to get some big chunks of the game out of the way, and at least see the errors in their playthrough to fix as an update by the end of this week! (I still have no idea how they made the game go so fucking FAST at the crystal woods area 😂😭)

It has been a dream of mine to have a finished Yume Nikki Fangame, so this is not over yet!

Maybe in the future I’ll stream myself working on the game on my VTuber channel (SleepyMichaela), but for now I’ll continue working on it when I can… in the shadows 👁️…

Thank you to everyone who is still sticking with me and wanting to play the game with future updates and/or when it’s completed~! 💙

Those few errors I was bothered by I decided to fix lol

I just replaced the zip folder of the original download. So you can download the updated version as a compressed ZIP folder at the same link posted before.

Every time I filmed I found more stuff that actually needed fixed lol So fixed them but now Im too tired to try and record again rip I’ll try to have a walkthrough out this week/weekend when I’m off!

Ok so next week, whatever state my game is, it’s going out in the first week of May! (Or possibly this Sunday since I sort of want it out on May first but that is a work day lol)

I didn’t get as much as I wanted done sadly due to work draining my time and energy OTL

I hope what all I have, such as some events and the accessibility of two endings, is good enough for you all to be entertained by while I continue to work on it 😭😂

Also need to make an itch.o account to upload it and plan to include a walkthrough video for finding the current effects in case people want a guide

I swear I don’t mean to just dump a bunch of stuff this week but I got around to doing Husk! He is the protag for the other ynfg called Doppelganger, that’s more inspired by Motel Snooze than it is Yume Nikki sfalnkds

I’m honestly still debating whether to still consider it a YNFG or more of just, loosely inspired??

It’s gonna be very dialogue heavy, not have dreams/have no relations to dreams, and the effects are more like disguises... so idk lol

Ended up being distracted by my friends getting me into vr chat, and now getting my own model of my persona so not much to update on the games that I don’t want to spoil...

So here is a background I had made forever ago for a scrapped world in Caged that will instead be added to Lira! Idk if I’ll keep this bg specifically or redo it, but I thought I’d put it here since I still kinda like it lol

And I am getting more parts done for Caged than I thought so uhh I’m pretty sure the worlds I had planned to be mostly done if not fully complete should be doable by May when I plan to release the first version~! <3

Ok so as a little update/goal I’m gonna try to work on Caged this month and next month and see as far as I get by then, and I’m just gonna block stuff off that isn’t finished and release version 0.01

Cause if I don’t give myself a date to release I’m just gonna keep going at it and never release the first version lol
