I love how ren calls martren the power of friendship when literally everyone else is in horror at his grief and willingness to bring martyn in any way to the finale

People are talking a lot more about Grian's widow curse, but Pearl has it quite badly as well. Since her win, she's been trying to get someone the crown. BigB in limited life, the mounders in secret life, and impulse in Wild life. And it fails. Every time, she outlives them. Her and Cleo being so uncertain after the Final Girls collapsed, not knowing what to do or how to be.

But still, she won't betray them. Pearl is so committed to her allies, like a wolf pack. And what Gem got wrong (in Secret Life) was thinking that Pearl would betray her day 1 allies for her day 7 ally. Because Pearl knows what it's like to be abandoned.
