“the vote”
frontman!in-ho x you
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
after the second game, it was time to cast your votes- “x” or “o”. although the team had agreed on ending it then and there, in-ho had betrayed you. overwhelmed by deceit, you refused to talk to him after that, making him desperate to win your trust back.
“78 million per person, that’s good enough right?” dae-ho ran towards the team, enthusiastically pointing at the scoreboard.
“to be honest, i don’t care if it’s not enough, i just wanna get out of here.” you half-heartedly joked. in-ho looked up from the floor, catching your gaze. he could see past the facade you were putting up.
at that moment, in-ho wished that he could reveal his real identity to you, show you exactly who he was and the power he had. he wanted to help you.
there was nothing in the world he wouldn’t give for you to make it out of here alive, but it wasn’t that easy. afterall, you weren’t suppose to be his prime objective, and he couldn’t let the games end just like that.
“we will start with player 456. please proceed to the podium.”
“gi-hun, you’re up!” jung-bae said, grabbing the man.
“we can end this right now.” jun-hee added, making gi-hun nod, his eyes filled with determination.
everyone held their breaths as gi-hun stalked closer and closer to the two buttons. with one final look at everyone, his hand came down hard on ‘x’, making the team cheer loudly.
“y/n.” you heard a familiar voice call out to you from behind. it was in-ho, or should you say, young-il.
you gave him a small smile, quietly slipping away from everyone else to take your stand beside him.
“are you okay?” you asked, making him chuckle.
“i’m okay, y/n.” he replied throwing his arm gently around your shoulder.
“then why are you acting so weird?”
he sucked in a breath, shaking his head. “it’s just… i-i don’t know-are you sure ending the games right now is the right thing to do?”
your eyes narrowed. “what are you saying?”
“i just think, i mean, the 78 million can barely cover your debts. how are you going to continue on? you don’t want those loan-sharks coming after you again, do you?”
“young-il, whatever’s going on with you right now, it’s not making you think rational-”
“but y/n-”
“-no, young-il! what if you die in the next game?! what if we die?!”
“player 289, please proceed to the podim.”
that was your number.
“i hope you make the right choice.” you muttered under your breath before slipping out of his hold and walking away from him.
in-ho watched intensely, full of guilt and shame as you hit the “x” button. he gazed longingly as you headed to the other side of the room with the others who wanted to leave, head never lifting up from the ground once to look at him.
“you know she only reacted that way because she cares about you, right?” jung-bae awkwardly shifted to in-ho’s side, nudging his elbow.
but in-ho was having none of it. he shot jung-bae a look that pierced through his soul, sending shivers down his spine. jung-bae gulped and raised his hands in defeat, backing off.
when it finally came down to the last number, player 001, in-ho was ready. however, you already knew deep down he was planning to stay, but you had a small sliver of hope he would change his mind.
but of course, he didn’t.
the “o’s” had won. again.
you couldn’t believe it.
with a huff, you walked back to your bed, ignoring in-ho who chased after you.
Tumblr media
after that, in-ho didn’t see much of you. even ehen the team had gathered for meal time, you didn’t show up. in-ho thought that by now, you would’ve came to your senses, or at least cooled doen enough to talk to him again. but he was wrong.
as the team chattered about what they think the next game might be, in-ho grabbed another serving. then, he looked up and down for you.
eventually, his eyes landed on a small figure on the other side of the room. crouched down and slumped on the cold cement floor with your back against the wall.
“y/n, sweetheart. do you wanna come back and sit with us?” he tried to ask nicely, his figure hovering above you, but you refused to look up. “are we really gonna do this?”
still no reply.
in-ho sighed, kneeling down, placing the food on the floor beside him. he placed a hand on your knee, the other gently grabbing your face, forcing you to look at him.
“can you at least eat?” he beckoned, his voice dropping to barely above a whisper.
your eyes were cold. that warm, inviting look you once had now gone. in-ho didn’t like that.
“i’m not hungry.” you told him flatly.
“y/n.” he said in a warning tone. “eat.”
“no thank you.”
in-ho didn’t know what came over him. it was like a protective drive that made him want to take control of you. so he grabbed your arm and pulled you along with him as he walked back to the group, picking up the extra serving along the way.
“what-?! let me go, you psycho!” you raised your voice, trying to wriggle out of his grip but it was tight.
he had dragged you all the way back to your team.
“now sit.” he instructed.
“w-what?”
“sit, please?” contradicting his tone, his gaze softened when he looked at you. his eyes almost begging.
after much hesitation, you slowly sat down. in-ho made sure to take the empty space beside you.
“now, will you please eat?”
“i-”
“or do you need me to feed you?”
that question caught you off guard, you nearly choked as no words came out of your mouth.
you simply nodded, picking the food up and eating silently as in-ho engaged in the conversation the team was having.
after few minutes later, you had gobbled down the lat of your food. in-ho smiled to himself, he knew you were starving afterall, he saw pass your little white lie.
“hey.” he whispered, nudging your shoulder causing you to look up. “are you still hungry?”
“a little, but i’m okay.” you replied, but your stomach failed you, grumbling as your eyes trailed down to in-ho’s uneaten food.
“finish it.” he said, offering you what was left.
“you’re kidding.” you laughed, but it dropped when he didn’t falter. “seriously?”
he nodded. “you need all the energy you can get, sweetheart. i can’t have you passing out on me mid-game.”
“i might just do that to get your attention.”
“you already have all my attention, y/n.” in-ho said lovingly, ruffling your hair. “so, does this mean you forgive me?”
“nope.” you said, popping the ‘p’. in-ho couldn’t believe it.
if that wasn’t enough to win you back he didn’t know what could.
but in-ho loved a good challenge.
Tumblr media
the next day, a new game was introduced.
mingle.
“oh, we are so dead.” you moaned as you stepped into the arena. this game was set to eliminate and everybody knew that.
“what the hell kind of game is this?” dae-ho groaned, coming to your side.
“we just have to stick together, we’ll make it out alive.” said jun-hee.
then, in-ho scooped you over to him easily by taking your arm. “i want you by my side the whole time.”
he was dead serious. looking at him, there was not one single fiber in his body that was kidding.
“understood?”
“yes.” you complied.
and just like that, the game had begun.
as the platform beneath you started to move, panic shot through you.
‘9’
the lights dimmed.
a blaring alarm sounded.
flashing lights of red and white engulfed your vision.
“that group over there!” you heard gi-hun yell amongst the chaos. your eyes shot to where he was pointing.
you grabbed them and without wasting any time, the nine of you dashed to the nearest room, closing the door shut behind you.
there was a moment of silence, everyone trying to catch their breath.
“is everyone alright?” the old lady from the other team was the first to speak up.
when everyone was accounted for, she turned to you. “thank you, young lady. without you i don’t think we would have made it on time.”
you shook your head. “it’s no problem, miss. i’m glad everyone is safe.”
in-ho stood beside you, watching the exchange. his heart warmed at the sight of your kindess. even in a place like this you had the heart to think about others.
that was something he could never have.
“good job, y/n.” in-ho praised you, placing a kiss to your temple.
a few rounds had passed and gi-hun speculated that this would be the final round.
“how do you know?”
“final round. they’re going to seperate us into twos.” gi-hun explained as the platform started to spin. “there’s only about a hundred of us left and less than fifty rooms. it’s the easiest and most efficient way of getting us to turn against each other.”
he was right.
one glanced at the players and you could see the change in demeanour. it was every man for himself. no one was willing to make a sacrifice for another.
when the platform came to a halt, low and behold, it was the number 2.
you searched around for jun-hee. if anyone should make it out of that place, it was her and her unborn child.
just as you spotted her among the crowd, a hand grabbed your waist, hauling you away from everyone. you looked up to see in-ho.
despite wanting to ensure jun-hee’s safety, one glance at the timer made you realise that you didn’t have the time to. so, you followed in-ho’s lead into the nearest room.
just as you thought you were clear from the danger, you came face to face with the most obnoxious person in the games. thanos.
“señorita!” he exclaimed, yanking you out of in-ho’s embrace. “come with me.”
“young-il!” you screamed, thrashing and kicking but thanos’ hands only tightened.
at the lost of your warmth, in-ho immediately went back for you.
there was only 40 seconds left.
he ran right up to thanos, drew his fist back and with all the energy he could muster up, threw a punch straight into his face.
“jesus! what’s your problem, old man?!” thanos yelped out in pain, his hands flying to his face.
in-ho didn’t stop there. he practically pounced on the man, grabbing him by the collar and landing blows left and right. you stumbled away from the mess, eyes growing wide after the violence you didn’t know in-ho was capable of.
quickly, your crawled back to them, pulling in-ho away from thanos as the timer continued to go down.
“young-il, let go!”
but he wouldn’t listen.
“young-il, that’s enough!”
it wasn’t until in-ho locked eyes with you, then he stopped. with tears nearly spilling from your eyes, he stopped in his tracks, turning his attention from thanos to you.
10 seconds
he immediately scooped you up from the ground, not waiting for you to protest before he headed straight for an empty room. with you in his arms, he could feel your body trembling.
when the two of you got into the room safely, he placed you carefully on the ground. he too sank to the floor, he opened his mouth to say something but before he could, you buried yourself to his side, catching him off guard.
nevertheless, he opened his arms, wrapping them around you.
you felt like a little kid, hugging their plushie when they got scared. except this plushie was someone who you knew deep down you shouldn’t be with or even feel safe with. but you loved the way he protected you, looked out for you. there was something so intimate about every single thing in-ho did for you. even almost beating thanos into a bloody pulp because he took you away from him.
you were snapped out of your thoughts when you heard in-ho’s voice call out to you. “hm? what?” you asked, still not moving from where you were.
you felt him let out a deep chuckle. “i said, are we even now?”
you felt his finger threading through your hair, playing with the different strands, making you hum. “definitely.”

“a real man”
dbf!in-ho x you
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
when a family party takes place, you finally met the one and only hwang in-ho, your father’s best friend. when unsettled disputes take place, you find shelter with the man who was thrice your age.
Tumblr media
“y/n, get the door will you?” your dad asked, taking the plates from your hands as you made your way to the front door.
you yanked the door open, mumbling under your breath. why did he have to throw this party anyway? it’s not like it was the first time you were home, why was he making such a big deal out of it?
“hey, sweetheart. is your dad home?” a man said.
you took a good look of the man that stood before you in the doorway. holy shit.
“in-ho! there you are! was starting to think you were ditching your old pal!” your father’s voice boomed from behind you, pushing you away from the door as he took your place, inviting the unfamiliar man in.
“it’s good to see you too, man.” he chuckled.
“i’m assuming you’ve met y/n?” your father introduced, stepping aside, revealing your confused face.
“i did…” in-ho nodded, “quite a pretty one.”
a blush crept onto your cheeks. “thank you.”
“polite too? you raised her well.”
“of course i did. don’t know what her mum’s been teaching her though, been a little angsty lately.” your dad revealed, making your eyes grow wide.
“can we not do this now?” you gritted, glaring at him.
after that, you never saw much of in-ho, being cooped up in the house while everyone was having the time of their lives outside with your dad in the party that he had organised for you.
eventually, you grew bored, grabbing a drink and hopping onto the kitchen counter as you watched the party unfold in the backyard with your father.
“hey, what are you doing here?” in-ho’s gentle voice rang in your ears, snapping you out from zoning out.
“these aren’t even my friends, they’re my dad’s.” you said defeated, peeking at the ongoing party outside.
“guessed it. didn’t think you’d be friends with all us older men.” he joked, making you chuckle, shaking your head. “you know, if it’s not pushing your boundaries, can i ask-why did your dad throw this get-together again?”
“i’ve been living with my mom for a few months, today’s the first time i’m back in awhile.” you told him. “oh, i’m sorry, do you want a beer or something?”
“don’t be silly, kid. this is your party, i’ll get it myself.” he smiled.
the two of you sat in comfortable silence as he leaned against the counter beside you, giving you the silent company you needed.
“you know for what it’s worth, i think you look beautiful.” in-ho broke the silence, turning his head slightly to face you.
“you’re not so bad yourself.” suddenly, he felt a sense of pride overwhelm him. he couldn’t possibly grasp the thought of you finding him attractive as he found you. afterall, he was almost thrice your age.
when it was finally time for a sit-around at the dining table, you were way out of your comfort zone. eyes burned holes into you from every angle, giving you no space for privacy whatsoever.
“so, y/n… youe dad tells me that you’ve been living with your mom?” a friend of your father’s questioned.
there we go. “uh, yeah.”
“how’s it like there? she any better than your dad?” he teased, making your father let out a low laugh as you shifted uncomfortably in your seat.
“c-can we don’t talk about this-”
“of course it is!” youe father interrupted. “couldn’t even get her to come over for a good few months, must have been really great.”
only in-ho noticed you were in distress, your breathing getting faster as your leg shook under the table. testing waters, he placed a hand on your thigh under the table, hoping to give you some stability to get through the dinner.
when you felt his warm hand on your thigh, you jerked away initially, thinking that it was one of thise old creeps who had touched you. but upon realising that it was only in-ho you shifted closer to him. as if you were silently begging for his help.
“we can all be gentleman at this table, let’s not give the lady any trouble, huh?” in-ho had intervened, anger slowly building up inside of him as they continued to press you with uncomfortable questions.
“hey speaking of your mom, she ever bring anyone home recently? like a colleague? maybe a friend?” you father asked.
“no.” you stated bluntly, you could already feel your eyes being welled up with tears.
but it didn’t stop there, you father as well as his friends made no effort to stop their interrogation.
eventually, you broke, letting the tears spill onto your lap as you tried your best to play it off without drawing anymore attention to yourself, but it was in vain.
“kid, are you cryin’?” one of them laughed, catching the attention of the rest.
“she is!”
“why are you crying, little girl?”
“do you want your mommy?”
in-his fist grew tighter around the handle of the fork he was holding, he couldn’t sit there and watch as you were being tormented by these sick bastards.
“boys, that’s enough!” he suddenly yelled, causing the room to go dead silent.
without another word said, he stood up, his chair scraping ear piercingly on the wooden floor as he grabbed your hand, pulling you away from the table and out the front door.
luckily for you, in-ho was only staying a couple blocks down, no more than a good three minute walk. the whole time, he said nothing, only changing his grip on you from the hand to your waist, leading you to his porch.
when you got to the doorstep, you stopped on your tracks, making him turn around, quickly taking a quick scan of your face to see if he had hurt you on accident.
“hey, talk to me, what’s wrong, love?” he asked in a soft tone, as if he were talking to a little girl.
“i can’t be here.” you said, looking up at him teary-eyed. “my dad will kill me.”
“nonsense… i won’t let him lay a hand on you, i promise. it’s better to stay here than with all the rascals there anyway.”
you winced at his harsh words, reminding you once again of the conversation at the dinner table.
“let’s not think about any of that anymore, alright? come in, you must be exhausted too, pretty girl.” he said as he ushered you inside.
in-ho’s house was warm. it smelt like him, the dim yellow lights bluncing off the perfectly decorated walls of his home. it was so quiet, just perfect.
“here, you can change into this. make yourself comfortable.” he said as he offered you a shirt and sweatpants which looked like it was his.
you thanked him and headed to the bathroom to change out of your clothes. when you were returned bacm to the living room, he was already on the sofa, legs spreaded out cozily as a tv programme played.
“there you are, do you have anything you wanna do in mind?”
‘no’ you shooke your head.
“then why don’t we just stay here and watch some movies. how does that sound?”
a smile broke on your face, making him feel a sense of relief. but to his surprise, you didn’t take just any emoty end of the sofa. you shuffled up close to him, merely centremeters away as he could smell your perfume that hadn’t worn off. it was driving him crazy.
as the two of you sat in silence, watching the show, in-ho noticed how your head was starting to fall closer and closer to his chest. he took a peak, seeing that you were now barely awake, struggling to keep your eyes open. he chuckled, pulling away, making your slowly open your eyes and lifting your head.
“no, no, stay there.” he cooed, moving closer in a more snug position for the both of you. and wirh his signal, you laid your head on his chest, your body and legs curled into a ball as he draped his arm over you while the other found its way to your hair. he combed through the soft, lush strands, lulling you to sleep as he did so.
“goodnight, y/n.” he whispered before leaning down carefully, placing a kiss on your forehead, watching as you tried to snuggle up closer to him.
in-ho knew he was doomed. it was a dangerous game he was playing with his best friend’s daughter. but at that moment, he realised just how bad he had had it for you. and there was no turning back.

“001”
frontman!in-ho x you
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
in-ho had manipulated everyone into thinking he was an angel. but he had one more person i convince, and when he couldn’t, he eliminated every person in the way
⋆°☁⋆° ☁⋆°☁ ⋆°☁ ✿ ⋆°☁⋆° ☁⋆°☁ ⋆°☁
“why do you keep looking in that direction?” gi-hun questioned in-ho as he caught him staring into your direction for the fifth time in the last hour.
“n-nothing, just thought i saw something.” in-ho awkwardly chuckled.
but in all honesty, he was eyeing you. he observed as you talked with your team, the group consisting of two girls and a boy. everytime in-ho looked towards your direction, he noticed how close you were with the only boy in there. it infuriated him, he clenched his jaw and fists at the idea of anything romantic between the two of you.
during the second game, he realised how badly he wanted you. upon watching your team, he grew more and more angered whenever the boy would touch you in anyway. be it holding your hand, resting his hand on your waist, or just brushing up against you.
you turned into his motivation to excel in the games.
one night, he laid awake on his bed. his thoughts trailed from the memories of the both if you accidentally locking eyes, to him even fantasing about killing the boy to get you all for himself. in-ho ran at least a hundred thoughts in his mind, trying to come up with the easiest and quickest way to eliminate his competition.
when it came to ‘mingle’, he had the perfect, most cunning plan to make you swoon right into his arms.
‘the game is mingle. when the number is called out, you are to form groups of the number and enter the nearest room.’
the platform shifted, making every player stumble as the game began. in-ho’s eyes lingered on you, watching jealously as you grabbed onto the boys arm instinctively.
‘9’
“they’ve got four! let’s go!” in-ho was the first to yell, dashing towards your team and grabbing your arm, causing everyone to follow him.
when everyone entered the nearest room, you thanked him. “thank you, sir! you must have really quick reflexes to notice us!”
in-ho could only grin. “it’s nothing, i’m glad you’re-everyone is safe.”
“hey, what do you say, we all stick together? there are more than enough people, i’m sure we can all make it out alive if we play the games together.”
he could combust on the spot. you were doing all the work for him.
as the next round started, you still held onto the boy that in-ho had grown to loathe.
‘5’ there were way too many people.
without even discussing any plans of sorts, in-ho took your hand, dragging you with him without any choice into the nearest room. that made two. you didn’t know, but the two other girls in your team were following behind. but in-ho was quick, before they could enter, he grabbed onto three other men, shoving them in and closing the door.
just as the door locked, you glanced over to the door.
“y/n! help us, please! open the door!” they pleaded, pounding on the door but it wouldn’t budge.
you tried with all your might to yank the door open, but eventually you watched hopelessly as they were being gunned down by the guards.
“no! please, we have to open the door!” you cried, sinking to the floor in agony as their screams came to a stop.
in-ho knelt down in front of you, pulling you into his arms as you had your meltdown. he caressed your hair, whispering sweet nothings to calm you down. he took in the smell of you, using every inch of his self control not to let out a groan.
“hey, it’s okay-look at me.” he cooed, cupping your cheeks in his hand lovingly. “i’m here, you’re safe.”
you nodded, finding comfort in his embrace.
when the next round started, you couldn’t find the boy, and it scared you. but having in-ho with you made things better. he draped an arm around your waist, pulling you close as the platform began to spin.
‘2’
he watched your wandering eyes searching for anyone other than him. in-ho was annoyed. was he not enough for you? was everything he had done not enough to win you over? why did you need anyone else other than him?
“we have to go!” he shouted over the chaos, gently tugging at your jacket.
you hesitated for a second, but ultimately you knew that you didn’t have many more options at hand to play, so you went with him.
just as you were running to the room, in-ho spotted the boy from his peripheral vision. ‘fuck’ he thought.
he ushered you into the room, beckoning you to turn around to face the wall so ‘you don’t have to see the violence and utter havoc taking place’. but in reality, he knew he needed to remove the last of his concerns.
the boy came closer, trying to push in-ho out of the way so he could take his place. the boy opened his mouth the speak, but in-ho was quicker. he grabbed onto the boy’s neck, trapping him in a headlock as he fought hard.
“what are you doing?” the boy tried to squeeze out as in-ho tightened his grip. he glanced at the clock, ten seconds left.
as the seconds passed, he could feel the life fading away in his arms, the andrenaline coursed through every vein in his body. when he heard a final snap, he scurried onto his feet, locking the door behind him as you turned around.
to his surprise, you ran to him, throwing your arms around his abdomen. “i thought you weren’t coming back!”
in-ho had a moment where he was taken aback, but his arms had betrayed him, he took you into his arms, resting his chin on your head.
he loved it. you were practically doing all the work for him.
when the game came to an end, you exited the room with in-ho, hand in hand. when you were back in the room, you searched for the boy but he was nowhere to be seen.
eventually when reality set in, you realised that he might not have made it afterall. that night, you laid in in-ho’s arms as he consoled you. he kept you close to him in approximation and emotionally.
in-ho knew then that his plan had worked. he had isolated you from anyone you had knew from the games, bow you were all his.

“it’s all fun & games”
frontman!in-ho x you
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
a certain sweetheart in the game knows in-ho’s real identity, but will she care when in-ho feels the same way about her?
˚˖𓍢ִ໋🌷͙֒. ˚˖𓍢ִ໋🌷͙֒. ˚˖𓍢ִ໋🌷͙֒. ⋆˚ 𝜗𝜚˚⋆. ˚˖𓍢ִ໋🌷͙֒. ˚˖𓍢ִ໋🌷͙֒. ˚˖𓍢ִ໋🌷͙֒.
“let’s go one round and introduce ourselves, it’s lame calling everyone by their numbers.” you chipped in excitedly, hand rest on the palm of your hands as you eyed in-ho.
he knew the game you were playing, you just wanted to see how long he could keep his identity concealed.
“i’m jung-bae.”
“i’m dae-ho.”
“my name’s jun-hee.”
“and i’m seong gi-hun.”
“i’m y/n and i guess that just leaves you.” you pointed to in-ho who was nervously looking down at the floor.
“i-i’m… young-il.” he said in a low voice.
“young-il!” you giggled, “hey, that matches your number! i wonder if it’s a coincidence!”
“ah, she’s right! 0-1, young-il!” junb-bae clapped his hands as the team laughed.
but in-ho couldn’t care less, he gave you a glare as you tirled a few strands of your hair between your fingers.
this was going to be fun.
even as big of a compromise as you were to his plan, in-ho found himself liking it. not only was it a challenge, but he got to see the cheeky, not-so innocent side of you that no one else could.
by now, he was almost a hundred percent positive that you knew exactly who he was, the frontman. but did he care? no. it was all fun and games, just a little tiny ruse of yours to keep him on his toes.
that night when everyone was tucked into their beds, getting ready to sleep, in-ho sneakily walked up to the side of your bed.
“can i help you?” you chirped, eyes doe-wided as you smiled at him. but he saw right through, you wsnted this to happen.
“what do you think you’re doing?” he gritted out, sitting down beside your bed.
“trying to sleep but some bozo won’t let me.” you scoffed playfully, laughung at your own joke while in-ho didn’t even crack a smile. “what do you want?”
“what do i want? i want you to stop whatever games you’re playing here.” he said sternly, “i don’t know how you figured it out, but they don’t know so keep it down!”
“can’t a girl have some fun?” you looked at him with a pout on your lips. “isn’t it more exciting for you this way, i know you like the thrill as much as i do.”
in-ho took a hold of your jacket, giving you no choice but to lean down towards him, face centermeters away from him as you felt his breath on your cheek.
“look, i don’t care that you have anything to do with the game, i really don’t!” you lifted your arms up subtly in surrender. “but i gotta say, you’re pretty hot for the frontman.”
“yeah? is this what you wanted? you just couldn’t help yourself, huh? you needed my attention?”
“maybe.” you shrugged, causing him to shake his head, chuckling in disbelief.
“you’re something else, y’know?”
“all for you.”
after that, you both went to bed. your mind was racing. was this really going to end well? maybe it was just a stupid crush you had on him, it didn’t really matter. but in-ho had other plans, he’s never met someone so sweet yet cunning at the same time. you had awoken a flame inside of him that he swore was already gone.
during breakfast the next day, you sat close to in-ho legs and arms touching as you got comfortable beside him.
“so what’s your real name?” you whispered to him as the others carried on with their conversation.
“you gonna tell anyone, you minx?” he teased, smiling down at you.
“i promise i won’t.”
“it’s in-ho.”
“in-ho, huh? that goes pretty well with y/n.”
he laughed out loud at your obvious flirting, making the others stop to look at you both.
“sorry.” you apologised to the team as they resumed their talk.
when it came to the ‘six-legged pentathlon’ game, you were paired with in-ho, gi-hun, jung-bae and dae-ho.
“oh, inh-i mean young-il, which game do you think you’ll be good at?” you asked, purposefully slipping up to get a rise out of him once more.
in-ho clenched his fist, he knew it was intentional.
“uh, spinning top, i suppose.” he replied.
“great!” you cheered as the game began.
when it came to your turn, everyone was at the brink of either puking or shitting themselves. yet somehow, you remained composed. in-ho took glances of you many times but he couldn’t figure out how you of all people were so calm.
little did he know, you already knew there was no way you would be able to fail these games. for god’s sake, you had the frontman here with you. and if you would’ve guessed? he wasn’t going to stand there and watch you get shot doen by the guards, you knew you already meant more to him than that.
as an act of revenge for your little ‘slip-up’ earlier, in-ho ensured to fail multiple times at his game, making the team even more so uneasy than they already were. he had to admit, it was satisfying to finally see some hints lf fear in your eyes as he failed.
but eventually, the team had made it out alive at the very last second. you let out a deep breath that you were subconsciously holding in.
“scared now?” a voice came from behind.
you whipped your head around, but was only met with the mischievous grin of in-ho.
“are you fuckin’ crazy?!” you practically yelled at him.
in-ho pulled you into the bathroom as the team continued to make their way to the room without you.
“will you shut up?” he scolded, holding you against the wall.
“you’re telling me you did that on purpose?!”
“wasn’t it ‘exciting’?” he mocked you from earlier, causing you to roll your eyes. “and you’re not so innocent too, calling me by my real name in front of everyone like that?”
“it’s my way of flirting.” you joked, snorting a laugh as he gently put you down.
“flirting?”
“yeah, can’t you tell?” you questioned. “and i think it’s starting to rub off on you too.”
you weren’t wrong. in-ho didn’t only find himself liking your cocky remarks more, but he started to copy them too.
“you’re a minx you know that?” he said.
“i know, and you love it.”

“once smitten”

what if in-ho falls for gi-hun’s sister in the games?
˚˖𓍢ִ໋🦢˚ ˚˖𓍢ִ໋🦢˚ ˚˖𓍢ִ໋🦢˚ ༊· ˚˖𓍢ִ໋🦢˚ ˚˖𓍢ִ໋🦢˚ ˚˖𓍢ִ໋🦢˚
“excuse me, i-” in-ho tried to introduce himself.
“ah, you’re so stupid! how could you take an invitation from a stranger?!” gi-hun scolded you as you stood like a little kid before him, head down with your hands behind your back.
“oh, yes, how can we help you?” jung-bae chuckled awkwardly, turning to face in-ho.
“i was just wondering if i could join your team, i saw that-”
“you’re saying that to me?! you came voluntarily too, again!” you shouted back at your brother, cutting in-ho off again as the team tried to de-escalate the situation.
“give me one moment.” jung-bae excused him, pulling you aside, away from gi-hun to calm down.
“i’m sorry.” apologised gi-hun as he turned his attention towards in-ho, looking him up and down once. “i’m gi-hun, that’s my sister y/n.” he said, pointing to you as you slumped onto the ground.
“ah, i must have caught you guys at a bad time.” in-ho sniggered, rubbing the back of his neck nervously.
“no, no. everything’s fine here, you’re welcomed to join us.”
in-ho gave him a grateful smile, walking towards you, brushing skimmed past gi-hun.
“hi, you’re y/n? i’m assuming?”
you nodded, “you had to ask my brother for permission to join?” you jokingly said.
in-ho took a seat on the floor beside you. “what happened? if you don’t mind me asking.”
“gi-hun didn’t come home for a year after his first game. went on like a lunatic about it when he did come home. then, he was gone, next thing i knew i was ‘happily reunited’ with him again here.”
of course in-ho had already knew all that, but it was part of his ruse to get closer to gi-hun.
“but whatever, it doesn’t matter anyway. i can take care of myself, i don’t need him.” you scoffed, arms crossed.
in-ho couldn’t help but grin at the sight, you were sulking in a corner with him, about the one thing that was possibly the least dangerous in the whole game.
“well, looks like i’m gonna be here for a while so, you know where to find me if you need me.” in-ho said, nudging your arm.
you giggled. “thanks, i didn’t catch your name.”
“young-il.”
“young-il…” you tried it on your lips, it sounded right.
“i’ll see you around.” he winked before he got up, walking off to join the rest of the team.
after that interaction, you couldn’t seem to get him off your mind. somehow, someway, it always went back to in-ho. when you and him were apart, you keeping away from gi-hun, you would sneak glances at him. sometimes, he would even already be staring, making you a blushing mess as you tried to cover it up by looking elsewhere.
after the second game of ‘six-legged pentathlon’, you were sat on your bed with the team surrounding you, all eating the food they had given you.
at that point, gi-hun was fuming. you couldn’t deny that you haven’t been pissing him off but who was he to say anything? afterall, he was the one that abandoned you for this stupid game.
“y/n, finish your food.” gi-hun told you sternly when you left the remainders aside.
“i’m not hungry.” you said monotonously, not meeting his eyes.
“you’re not going to have energy to play the next game if you don’t.” he scolded, raising his voice.
“who cares?”
“y/n. finish it now.”
“or what? you’re gonna disappear again? are you gonna leave me again?” you retaliated, sneering when he didn’t reply.
suddenly, he shot up, grabbing you by the collad as he slammed you into the wall. you screamed, but was silenced when your head came into contact with the rough surface.
“enough, gi-hun!” you heared in-ho yell, “put her down!”
then, you were being dropped to the ground. in-ho ran towards you, grabbing a hold of you before you could fall.
“are you okay?” he asked, brushing your hair aside to see your face.
but you couldn’t reply. you could only look at the ground, tears hitting the floor underneath you.
in-ho couldn’t be assed about anything else at that moment, he gently escorted you to the exit which was heavily guarded. without a word, the guards opened the door, letting you and him both leave without question. maybe if he was in the right mind, he would have been more careful about blowing his cover, but luckily for you, he wasn’t.
in-ho walked you to the bathroom, effortlessly lifting you onto the sink. he took a moment looking at your pitiful form, he felt his heart break.
“can you look at me?” he whispered, waiting for permission before he lifting your chin with his fingers. “let me see your pretty face.”
as you locked eyes with him, you could feel the embarrassment bubbling in your stomach. you were so weak, so vulnerable now before him. “young-il…” you managed to choke out.
he didn’t need anything else, he knew exactly what you needed at that moment, leaning forward to pull you into his embrace. the second you had your head on his shoulder, you sobbed. no one, not even you, knew if he was because you were scared, or angry, or hurt, but he was everything you could feel at that moment and nothing else mattered.
a few minutes passed, when you eventually calmed down and pulled away, you let out a laugh. in-ho was confused, did he do something wrong?
“thank you, young-il.” you smiled sadly at the man before you.
internally, he let out a sigh of relief. “are you feeling better?”
you nodded. you lifted your hand, touching the back of your head, causing you to wince in pain. “shit.” you cursed under your breath as you looked at your hand, a small trace on blood left on it.
“c’mere.” in-ho instructed, inspecting your wound. “it’s okay, i think it’s just a graze.”
he helped you clean your wound, taking care of you like you were his own treasured item, each movement acted out with upmost care.
“he’s not always like that.” you broke the silence as he hummed. “i don’t know what this place has turned him into.”
but in-ho didn’t care, you had just given him another reason to carry out his plan against gi-hun.
when the two of you headed back to the room, gi-hun ran to you.
“i think you should leave her alone from now on.” in-ho stepped in when he got too close for his liking.
“but y/n-”
“fuck off.” maybe it was a little more than personal now, but either way, he didn’t like the idea of gi-hun coming close to you again.
that night, you slept with in-ho by your side, you cuddled up to his side as he sat still on the bed, careful not to move. in-ho didn’t sleep for the whole night, he was too busy admiring your sleeping form and savouring the feeling of you cuddled up next to him. it made him wonder if this could be what it could be like outside the games.
maybe the you and him would have an apartment, maybe even a dog. it would be the epitome of a perfect life. everynight after work he would come home to you, being welcomed by your hugs and kisses. he smiled hard even just from the thought of it.
much often, when his thoughts had gotten the better of him, he would place a kiss on your forehead or draw cute little patterns on your arm.
y/n, y/n, y/n, what were you doing to him?

when a sweet girl walks into his class, in-ho couldn’t resist making her his
🍒⋆⭒˚.⋆🍒 ⋆⭒˚.⋆🍒. ۫ ꣑ৎ . 🍒⋆⭒˚.⋆🍒 ⋆⭒˚.⋆🍒
it was the start of a new year, in-ho was the newest teacher. within days, he had fellow teachers, students, everyone pining on him. he knew it and he took pride in it.
he never paid any mind to any of them though, because his eyes was set on a particular student. someone so sweet and adorable, he was like a bee attracted to honey.
in-ho knew whatever facade you were putting up was for him and him only, it was obvious. you would frown at any boy who gave you looks, but when he did it, you gave him an innocent smile. it was as if you were so naive you didn’t know what you were doing to him.
fuck, you were driving him crazy.
the cute patterned clothes you wore, the small bows in your hair. you were like a lamb walking right into the slaughter house.
after weeks of keeping his dick in his pants, jerking off only when you were gone, he had enough. he wanted you, and he wanted you now.
in-ho had planned it out meticulously, getting you to stay behind after class when all your friends had left, leaving you alone with him as he licked his lips hungrily.
“did i do something wrong?” your sweet voice echoed in his ears, it was enough to make an old man like him collapse on the spot.
“no, darling. c’mere, yeah?” he beckoned, pushing his chair away from his desk, inviting you over.
you knew what he was doing and you loved it.
“if i didn’t do anything wrong, why did you ask me to stay behind?” you questioned, taking your place between in-ho and his desk, trapping yourself exactly where you wanted to be.
“you’re so sweet, darlin’.” he cooed, playing with the him of your dress as you giggled.
“you think so?”
“yeah… so, so sweet.” he sighed, looking into your eyes as you tilted your head confused. “sit here.”
you looked down to where he was patting, his lap. a cheeky grin crept onto your face as you complied.
“now, i have a problem.” he started, hands now twirling with your hair.
“what is it?”
“you’ve made a poor old man like me so on edge, hm?”
“you’re not that old.” you laughed, making him chuckle.
“take a guess.”
“forty?” he tutted.
“older.”
“forty seven?” you guessed, but he shook his head.
“getting close.”
“fifty three?”
“fifty four, sweetheart.” he corrected you as your breath hitched. “does it bother you?”
“not at all.” you whispered, leaning closer to him.
you could feel the heat coming off of him, he was so warm, so inviting. sure, this man could be your dad with the age he was at but damn did he look good.
“doesn’t bother you that your teacher is crazy for you?” he hummed. you could smell the cigarettes in his breath, overwhelming your mind, making you dizzy.
no, you shook your head.
“what a sweet girl, huh? do you know how down bad you’ve made me?”
no, you shook your head once more.
“of course you don’t, there’s nothing going on in that little head of yours.” he joked, tapping your forehead, making you laugh.
what have you done? you were going down a dangerous path with the only man you should have never done such a thing to in the first place. you knew from that moment, that in-ho was serious about keeping you his. it made you worry what he would do if you crossed paths with any other boy in the school.

“too sweet for me”
frontman!in-ho x you
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
when in-ho developed feelings for you in the games, he realised how much older he was compared to you. but age is just a number…right?
๑⋅⋯ ──── ꒰ঌ ໒꒱ ──── ⋯⋅๑
after the first games, reality set in. you sat on your bed, trying to scrub the blood off your hands and face. you were practically clawing at your arms, but the blood wouldn’t come off. then, you were approached by a man. ‘player 001’ it said on the jacket.
“you’re hurting yourself like that.” the man said to you, kneeling down by your bed.
“i’m fine.” you gave him a weak smile as you stopped.
“come, let me help.” he took your hand, taking the sleeve of his jacket, gently rubbing the dry blood off of your arm as you watched.
“thank you.” you whispered.
“you’re welcome.” he looked up and smiled. “you have some here…” in-ho licked his thumb, hesitating as if he was asking for permission, when you nodded, he cleaned your cheek.
when he was done, you thanked him once more.
“what’s your name? you look awfully young.” he commented.
“y/n…” you said shyly, making his heart swell.
“i’m young-il, it was nice to meet you.” he said before he got up, but you grabbed his arm.
“wait, i uh, c-can you stay?”
in-ho looked down at you, why would you want him to stay?
“i shouldn’t, i-” then, he heard a group of rowdy boys on the other side of the room, the leader with purple hair picking on a weaker girl. “on second thought, i think i should.”
in-ho stayed with you until lights out, keeping an eye out for thanos’ group and making sure that you were safe from them.
how old were you? definitely much younger than he was, but you were so sweet, so innocent. he loved it.
the next day, in-ho hadn’t slept. he had been too caught up watching you sleep, admiring as every hair fell in place, your chest heaving with every breath you took. he couldn’t deny that he hadn’t approached you with a motive. he knew it was wrong, but that didn’t stop him from going to the bathroom when everyone was asleep to jerk himself off to the thought of you.
“y/n, come, have mine. you need to eat more.” in-ho said sternly, passing you his packet of milk as he ate his breakfast with you.
“why? you should have it.” you rejected him, tossing it back to him.
“you need it more than me.”
“i’m not a kid, young-il.” you rolled your eyes playfully at him causing him to chuckle.
you weren’t. so why did he have the urge to protect you?
then, he heard the voice of gi-hun, he turned around. there his real target was. in-ho brought you along as he made his way to the group, approaching them with a friendly smile.
easily, they welcomed you both with open arms, just like how in-ho knew they would.
“so why did you pick ‘o’?” jung-bae asked, mouth stuffed full.
“oh, i just need more money to pay off my debt…” in-ho started. “… i had a wife and kid but i lost them because of my gambling habits.”
the whole atmosphere of the group fell, everyone didn’t know what to say.
you somehow felt guilty. this man was old enough to be your dad, why were you attracted to him? besides he already has a family outside this place. your heart sank, making you look down at your food as the others continued to talk.
“what about you?” you heared in-ho ask, making your head shoot up. “i’m sure your parents must be worried, why do you want to keep playing?” he pointed to the ‘o’ on your jacket.
“it’s just me.” you replied solemnly, “i don’t really have anyone waiting for me.”
you could feel everyone’s eyes on you, staring into your soul as you immediately regretted revealing that part of yourself. you mentally slapped yourself, you were being too vulnerable too quickly.
“hey, it’s okay. when we get out of here, we’ll all continue being friends!” jung-bae nudged your arm, making you smile.
“yeah! we’ll all go eat a feast when we get out!” dae-ho agreed.
in-ho didn’t like that idea, and his face didn’t even try to hide it. he didn’t like that you would hang out with anyone other than him.
‘players please proceed to the next game’
you were terrified. after knowing the stakes at hand, you knew it was suicide continuing, but you didn’t have any other choice. in-ho noticed you stiffen, he gave your arm a squeeze, letting you know that he was still there.
when you reached the second game, you learnt that it was going to be played in groups of five. luckily for everyone, your team already had five members.
you took your seats in a line on the floor, awaiting instructions. in-ho sat in front of you, still ensuring that you were sat close to him as the game commenced.
the first two teams took their places at the start line, both eager to win the games. but it was harder than anyone had thought. eventually, neither was able to complete all stations in time. you watched as they were being taken out by the guards, shot down with no remorse.
you instinctively grabbed onto in-ho as you gasped at the gnarly sight in front of you. if you didn’t get your head in the game, that would be you soon enough.
“what are you thinking about?” in-ho questioned when you had failed to answer him, lost deep in your thoughts.
“i’m scared, young-il.”
“nothing will happen to you, i promise.” he replied, ruffling your hair. “stay strong for me.”
you nodded.
when it was your turn, you could feel your legs shaking with every step you took. in-ho was the first to link your arms with his, giving you a subtle smile to calm your nerves.
as the game started, the team made their way to the first station. dae-ho picked up the ddakji, throwing it once, hard onto the ground. by some miracle, the blue envelope had flipped and everyone cheered.
at the second game, jung-bae took the stone from the guard. you shifted closer to in-ho, giving him space to aim. in-ho took the opportunity, pulling you close against him, you were everything at that moment. he could feel the warmth radiating off you, your smell filling his nostrils, making his head dizzy. he barely noticed when everyone cheered once more ehen the stone had been easily knocked down.
then, it was your turn.
“breathe.” in-ho whispered in your ear when he noticed how shaky your hands were.
to his surprise, you had managed to pass within a single try. he cheered you on louder than anyone in the team, moving on the the next game.
even as he spun the spinning top, your arm never left his. maybe it was a good luck charm, because he too was able to spin it on his first try. part of his was relieved because he didn’t embarrass himself in front of you but another was disappointed. in-ho had planned this moment out for so long, he would fail multiple times to keep gi-hun on edge. it was funny how just by having you there he had screwed up his whole plan, he didn’t know whether to love or hate it.
naturally, gi-hun had also made it without having any redo’s. everyone was estatic as they were being led out of the game room, but in-ho was off.
then, he felt a small hand on his shoulder causing him to turn around only to be met with your face.
“are you okay?” you asked as you caught up with him. “we did it, why do you look so down?”
“just surprised i guess.” he said, trying to brush it off.
walking back into the room, you were approached by thanos and his team.
“you goons made it back, huh?” thanos jeered, arms crossed as he looked you up and down.
that didn’t go unnoticed by in-ho. he slapped the boy across the face, shocking him as he gasped dramatically.
“look at me when you’re talking to me.” in-ho spat.
“who are you? is this your boyfriend, girl? isn’t he a bit too old?” thanos laughed. but in-ho didn’t take it lightly, punching him, causing him to fall to the ground as his nose started to bleed.
“young-il, that’s enough.” you stopped him before he could take it further.
with one last look of disgust, in-ho walked off, leaving the boy on the floor.
in-ho might not have realised it but that comment took a toll on him. it made him realise how true his words really were. he was in his 50s and you were so much younger than him, it wasn’t right for him to feel how he felt towards you.
“young-il, what happened-”
“go away, y/n. i don’t even know why you care so much.” he raised his voice, pulling his arm away before you could touch him.
you were dumbfounded, taking a step back as your eyes filled with tears that threatened to spill.
did that come out too harsh? he hadn’t mean to snap at you, he was just so caught up in everything.
you simply nodded, heading back to the team as he stood there alone, regret overwhelming him as he cursed under his breath.
that night, he couldn’t sleep. how could he? he tossed and turned in his bed, trying to erase your pitiful face from his mind. eventually, he got up, walking towards your bed, but you were gone.
he started to panick, rushing towards the guards, pushing pass them to leave the room. as he practically ran pass the bathroom, he heard soft cries. shit.
he barged in, “y/n? are you here?” you didn’t reply.
he went to the only closed stall and gently knocked, making sure that he didn’t scare you. “y/n, open the door. it’s me.”
“go away.” he heard your muffled voice.
he really did mess up.
“honey, open the door, let me in.” he pleaded.
after a few moments, he heard a click. then, he saw you, sitting on the floor with tears running down your cheeks, your eyes and lips puffy from crying.
“oh, darling.” he cooed, kneeling down, just like how he did when you had first met. “why are you crying?”
you didn’t reply, only gazing up at him with sadness in your eyes. he didn’t need you to tell him what was wrong, he knew.
he sat down, pulling you close to him, letting you cry into his chest as he held you.
“i’m sorry, i didn’t mean it.” he murmured into your hair. “please don’t cry.”
his heart broke all over again with every tear that fell. he had hurt the only person that didn’t deserve any pain in this place.
what was he going to do? he had never felt this kind of weakness before, he almost felt vulnerable with you. you needed him and he needed you too.

“the rebellion”
frontman!in-ho x you
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
when the rebels struck, in-ho knew he had to keep you safe no matter what. no matter what.
݁ ⋆ ⋆ ⋆ ──── ۶ৎ ──── ⋆ ⋆ ⋆ ݁
when the lights went off, the team scurried under the beds, following gi-hun’s plan. before you could cower under your own bed, in-ho had grabbed your arm, forcing you to hide under his bed with him.
“you okay?” he asked, breath rigid. you nodded.
your heart raced as the screaming started, people were running, crawling, brawling. you watched in horror as players were brutally eliminating one another, killing anyone they could get their hands on.
then, a girl had fallen in front of you. you couldn’t help, watching as she was stabbed over and over again as her eyes silently pleaded for help.
in-ho pulled you closer to him before you could scream, covering your mouth and whispering sweet words to calm you down. by then, the girl had already succumbed to her wounds, bleeding out right in front of your eyes.
in-ho must’ve noticed you staring at the body. “look down, you’re okay.” he told you softly.
minutes felt like an eternity, when the screams had stopped, the team started to make their move. they had taken their places with the bodies on the ground, hoping to fool the guards when they came.
“y/n, stay here.” in-ho instructed as he left you under the bed to join the fight.
then, the guards had entered the room. when they got close enough to them, they shot up from the ground, taking their guns.
somehow, this time it was more brutal. the gunfires from both sides reverberated in the room, bouncing off every wall. you couldn’t see anything, the view being blocked by dozens of bodies but you knew it couldn’t have been good. so, on instinct, you crawled out from hiding, grabbing the nearest gun and firing at the guards, helping the team.
“y/n! get down!” you heard in-ho’s voice from the other side of the room but you ignored him.
“stop!” gi-hun yelled, walking to the centre of the room. “i think we got all of them!”
then, a loud piercing shot rang through your ears, you felt a stinging pain on your side. looking around, you spotted a guard on the floor. before you could retaliate the shot, in-ho had gotten to him faster, running towards you as you stumbled to him.
“lift up your shirt, let me see.”
you did. and to your relief, the bullet had only grazed you.
“i’m okay.” you grunted, taking your jacket off to tie around your waist.
gi-hun had went on talking, trying to recruit more players to join the rebellion but in-ho couldn’t be bothered, his focus solely on you.
“does it hurt?” he asked, ensuring that it was tight enough to stop the bleeding.
“no shit.” you chuckled, making him smile.
he stood up again, placing a kiss on your forehead as he brought you to the front with the rest of the team.
“i would teach you how to use a gun but it seems like you don’t need it.” in-ho joked as hyun-ju taught the team how to check their ammo.
“alright, i guess we’re ready” gi-hun said, looking at everyone.
everyone followed his steps as you exited the room to find the control room and take down the frontman. but in-ho didn’t trust him, he told you to stay closer to him.
when hyun-ju stopped to take out the cameras on the stairwell, in-ho had his hand on your back instead of the gun, making sure that you were right beside him. it was as if he was more scared of losing you than losing his life in the fight, it was strange.
as the team got to the door, it suddenly opened, guards walking through, shooting, catching everyone off guard.
“down!” in-ho yelled as he took them down, but more had already showed up at the other side.
you ducked down, pulling in-ho down with you before a bullet could hit him. you backed up against a wall, occasionally peeking out to sneak a shot.
seeing you so efficient and fierce with the gun, in-ho got scared, how will he stop you when he didn’t have any other choice. he could feel his options running out quickly.
“we’re surrounded.” jung-bae said, heaving as he caught his breath.
“take as many out as you can! me and jung-bae will go look for the control room!” gi-hun said.
then your eyes landed on dae-ho, he had his eyes closed, his gun currently aiming at the wall as he tried to shoot down the guards. you took his hand, making his eyes fly open.
“you’re wasting bullets, do this- shoot a few, duck back. you’re more likely to hit something that way.” you advised, gently patting his hand, comforting the poor boy who was stricken with fear.
in-ho stared with a frown on his face. why did you have to touch him? why couldn’t you do that to him instead?
as time passed, there came an issue, everyone was on their last round of ammo.
“what are we going to do?!” a player raised his voice over the gunfires in the background.
“dae-ho, go back to the room and gather their ammo.” in-ho suggested, his jealousy taking the better of him. “me and y/n will go check on gi-hun and jung-bae.”
“are you sure?” you asked him, placing your hand on his.
his breath hitched, he cleared his throat and nodded.
“go dae-ho! i’ll cover you!” hyun-ju volunteered. and he was off.
in-ho grabbed your hand, running towards the door to the control room.
following him, you noticed how in-ho looked rather confident walking through the halls, he knew exactly where to turn and where to look. it was stranger when he didn’t bother checking the corners before he passed. at this point, you had a bad feeling bubbling in your stomach.
when you had finally gotten to the two, they were driven back by more guards at the very top of the staircase, making it difficult for them to make their way up.
“in-ho, y/n! you’re here!” gi-hun said, relieved.
“we sent dae-ho to get more ammo from the guards back in the room.” in-ho told him.
“they’re blocking the entrance, we can’t get up. see if you can find another way up.”
“i’m pretty sure there’s a way around.” in-ho agreed, beckoning for you to follow.
when you didn’t budge, he called out to you. “y/n, let’s go.”
“i think i should stay here and help them.”
“i might need your help, come with me. they’ll be okay.” he kept insisting, eventually making you follow him.
by some miracle, you were able to find a back tunnel to the top of the stairs. it wasn’t by coincidence, in-ho knew exactly where to go.
“there they are.” in-ho pointed out as you found yourselves behind the guards. “we just need to- y/n what are you doing?”
you had your gun raised, pointed right at in-ho.
“y/n, put the gun down.”
you cocked the gun, letting him know it was loaded. “who are you?”
“w-what? you know me y-y/n…”
“no, you’re not. you’re not the guy i fell in love with. who are you?”
his demeanour changed, his faced dropped and his eyes narrowed. whatever faked panick he had was gone.
“i think we both know the answer to that.” he said coldly as he stepped closer. “now, put down the gun.”
your hands were shaking, tears flooding to your eyes. you were torn between the man that was bound to betray you or let the man you loved go.
“you’re hurt, y/n, this isn’t helping you. put the gun down and we can talk.” he said, coaxing you into his embrace as he took another step closer. “you know you can’t shoot me, that’s not the girl i know.”
you were overwhelmed. you were in pain, your side hurting more as you stood your ground. different emotions were swirling through your head, were you supposed to be angry? hurt? or relieved, vulnerable?
in-ho took his chance, taking the gun right out of your hands as you sighed in defeat.
“that’s my girl.” he cooed, placing another kiss to your forhead. and that’s all it took for you to melt into him, crying into his chest as he comforted you.
the very enemy you were against, consoling you. you wanted nothing more than for everything to end and go home, but now with in-ho, he felt like home.
“we have some business to take care of, will you help me?” he asked, gently pulling you away from him as he bent down, looking right into your teary eyes.
you nodded.
“i knew i could count on you.” he said as you felt a sense of pride bloom in you. “i knew you were different from the others… that’s why i love you y/n.”
“y-you love me?” you stuttered, searching his eyes for any signs of insincerity but there was none.
“of course, you were my one and only reason to make it out of there alive… i couldn’t stand to leave you.” he admitted, cupping your face as yoy leaned into his touch. it was so warm, so inviting.
“what are we going to do?”
“follow me, i’ll protect you just like i promised.”
then and there, you didn’t realise but you had betrayed your friends. you didn’t know what in-ho had in mind for them but at that moment all you could think, feel was in-ho. your in-ho.

“love is a losing game”
frontman! (hwang in-ho) x you
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
what if frontman had joined the first games with gi-hun? in-ho seeked thrill and decided to become a player in the first games, meeting you. when it was time to play ‘marbles’, he was caught between a dilemma of letting you or his cover go
· · · ──── 𖣠𖣠𖣠 ──── · · ·
‘this game will be played in pairs. please find a partner and shake hands to indicate your pairings’
in-ho was the first to look at you. “y/n, play with me.”
you looked at him stunned, “you want me? what if it’s a game that needs strength?”
“you’re the strongest person i know here, so it’s a yes?” he smiled, waiting for you to shake his hand.
then, you looked to gi-hun who was watching the two of you expectantly as his face dropped. when he saw the worry on your face he shook his head. “no, you two go ahead, i’ll find someone else to play with.”
you gave him a sympathetic smile before turning back at in-ho, taking his hand.
when the timer came to an end, everyone moved towards the next room.
“ah! y’all bastards, play with me please! you need me!” player 212 pleaded as the guards started to approach her. she was the only player that hadn’t found a partner.
her screams and pleads pierced your ears as you looked back at her being dragged away by the guards.
“don’t look.” in-ho said, using his hand to gently turn your head away from the sight.
· · · ──── 𖣠𖣠𖣠 ──── · · ·
you and in-ho followed the guard to your assigned places. it was the porch of a small wooden house, just like yours when you were younger. despite the fake set up, you couldn’t help but feel a sense of nostalgia, taking in your surroundings. small trees encircled the house, its leaves seeming as real as ever.
“i wonder what game they’re going to make us play.” you wondered aloud as you sat on the porch steps.
‘the game is marbles. each player will be given ten marbles, you are to play any game of your choice. the winner will be determined by having all twenty marbles’
your eyes shot to in-ho. “that means…”
“there can only be one winner.” he finished, looking back solemnly.
your distress was rising quickly as the tension between the two of you thickened.
you rushed to the guard, “can we switch partners, please? i can’t play with him!”
“y/n-”
“please.” you sobbed, but the guard remained unfazed.
“hey, it’s okay. we have time, let’s just sit down and talk.” he gave you a smile, taking your hand leading you back to the porch steps.
“in-ho-”
“so what movies do you like?” he cut you off, that stupid smile still bright on his face.
after a brief moment of silence, you answered. “i-i guess i like the marvel movies.”
“yeah? do you have a favourite superhero?”
“black widow.” you let out a suppressed laugh. “as a kid i looked up to her, she was strong.”
“she’s pretty badass, isn’t she?”
you chuckled. “yeah, she is.”
even though it was obvious that in-ho was simply trying to uplift the mood it felt like it was working. if you were going to die here, it might as well be with in-ho.
· · · ──── 𖣠𖣠𖣠 ──── · · ·
time passed and now you only had five minutes left on the clock, anxiety bubbled in your stomach.
“what do you want to do when you get out of here?” you asked in-ho, your head now rested on his shoulder.
he pulled you closer, making sure you were nice and comfortable before he replied. “i guess, pay off my debts and start a new life… maybe a nice apartment with a dog.”
“i like that.” you agreed.
“what about you?” he asked, looking down, placing a kiss on your head as he did so.
“find my family. we’ll all live together again, i’ll buy a big house and we can all be happy.”
“that sounds nice.” he whispered.
“we should play a game.” you sighed, lifting your head. you pulled your legs together, crossing them as you turned to face him, marbles in hand.
“we can play rock paper scissors, winner takes all.” he suggested.
“i really don’t want to play against you.” you said barely above a whisper, looking down.
he smiled, lifting your head up with his finger. “it’ll be okay. on my count okay?”
you nodded hesitantly.
rock, paper, scissors, shoot.”
you threw scissors.
in-ho threw rock.
but he knew better, quickly changing it to paper right before your eyes.
without a word said, he gave you his ten marbles.
“no! in-ho, you can’t do that!” you shouted, tears flooding to your eyes.
“ah, i knew i should’ve threw rock.” he laughed to himself, acting oblivious.
you got up, kneeling down before him as you grabbed his collar.
“let’s play again, that wasn’t fair!”
“no, the rules were that. i guess i lost.”
you started to weep at his feet. in-ho had been there for you ever since the first game of red light, green light, taking you under his wing.
he would spend the nights keeping watch over you as you slept, pairing with you in every game so he could win for the both of you. he even kept the ridiculous goons away from you when you were being threatened by them, and now you were going to lose the only person you trusted in the game.
he was your best friend and your lover, he couldn’t possibly be stripped away from you just like that.
“y/n, please don’t cry, you’re going to make me cry.” he tried to laugh it off, but he felt his eyes stinging.
he gently scooped you up from the ground, making you face him as he pulled you close, your head on his chest as he shushed, rocking you back and forth.
“you’re okay.” he cooed, “you’re a strong girl, you’re going to make it out, right?”
you shook your head ‘no’.
“yeah, you will. you’ll leave the game with the money, find your family and live a happy life.”
“not without you.” you cried. “i can’t do this without you, in-ho, please. i need you.”
his heart broke into a million pieces. this whole character of his was a facade but it suddenly felt all so real for a moment.
in-ho realised that he too couldn’t live without you, but as frontman, he didn’t have a choice. for now, he could only give you the comfort and company you needed.
“look at me, y/n.” he said softly as you lifted your head once more.
“you’re the most beautiful, compassionate and the toughest girl i’ve ever met. you’ve got what it takes to get out of here… my strong girl is still right inside here.” he pointed to your heart, making you sniffle. “i’ve had the best moments of my life playing these games with you.”
“me too.” you admitted.
he cupped your face, pulling you in for a first and last kiss.
it was full of emotion, relief, joy but also grief. when you pulled away, he nodded, asking you to leave as the timer reached your last ten seconds.
without a choice, you slowly walked out into the corridor, leaving in-ho behind. you couldn’t bear to look at him again, tears still streaming down your face as you were escorted to the exit.
then, there was a loud bang. a gunshot.
‘player 002 eliminated.’
it felt like a part of you had died along with him.
· · · ──── 𖣠𖣠𖣠 ──── · · ·
when he had made sure that you made it through the exit, in-ho glared at the guard.
“dickhead, do you know how close that was to my feet?” he scolded, pushing past him as he walked towards the backdoor.
yes, he felt awful about the whole faking his death thing. but what choice did he have? he knew that he couldn’t let you die on his behalf, he was going to get out of the game either way.
but a part of him was filled with overwhelming sadness, because this meant that meeting you would just be a memory now. there was no way he could face you again.
he sat alone in the dark back in his control room, whiskey in hand as he tried to drown the pain.
· · · ──── 𖣠𖣠𖣠 ──── · · ·
when you met up again with gi-hun, you ran up to hug him but your tears wouldn’t stop flowing. you sobbed the entire time, it didn’t a genius to immediately know what had happened.
he stayed with you the whole night. even when you jerked awake from nightmares, gi-hun made sure to calm you down, ensuring that you got enough rest.
during meal time when you could only stare at your food, he ensured that he kept the food, just in case you ever got hungry in the middle of the night.
little did you know, in-ho kept watch too from behind the screen.
there was a sense of comfort as he watched gi-hun treat you as if you were his very own daughter. he knew that you were in safe hands… for now.
but he knew that sang-woo had turned completely cold-hearted. he was going to be a threat to your safety.
in-ho picked up the walkie talkie on his table, “keep player 455 safe, whatever it takes.”
but how was he going to keep sang-woo away from you?
· · · ──── 𖣠𖣠𖣠 ──── · · ·
a little angst couldn’t hurt anyone.

“jealousy jealousy”
stormshadow (lee byung hun) x you
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“i told you i’d kill him if he touched you again”
✶ ──── 🀀 ──── ✶
when you joined cobra, you had to take up different missions with different objectives. this time, you had to go undercover as the baroness, earning the trust of the baron so you could infiltrate the secret code for weapons.
“y/n, this is stormshadow. he’s assigned to keep you safe during the mission, i need you two to work together.” your employer said.
your first impressions of stormshadow was that he was reslly goodlooking. he had the perfect facial harmony that somehow complemented his physique as a whole.
“my pleasure, ms y/n.” stormshadow greeted, subtly bowing down as a sign of respect.
“you’ll start in a few hours, you have a date with the baron at 7 sharp! don’t be late!” your employer shouted from a far as he walked off, leaving the two of you behind.
“i’ll come back at 6:30 to pick you up.” the man in front of you reminded.
you nodded and gave him a smile before heading off.
back in your room, you found a box already waiting for you on your bed.
‘picked out a dress for you’ the note said as it laid perfectly on the box.
you opened it, finding a silk, white dress. it was beautiful.
funny enough, it seemed like a total coincidence that stormshadow’s suit also happened to be white.
a while later you were ready for the mission. you looked in the mirror one last time and headed down.
then came a ring of the doorbell.
6:30pm sharp. what a gentleman.
as you opened the front door, you were met with a familiar face, stormshadow. he seemed to had been in awe as you waited for his reaction.
“how do i look?” you asked nervously, biting your lip as you waited for an answer.
“give me a twirl.”
you spun on your heel, watching as the dress flowed almost magically with you.
“beautiful.” he smiled, extending his arm for you to take as he led you to the car.
✶ ──── 🀀 ──── ✶
when you reached the restaurant, your jaw dropped. it was the most luxurious place you had ever seen.
the walls were pitch black, decorated with sleek lights that dimly lit the whole place, causing you to stand out.
“i feel stupid.” you told him as you walked.
you were never used to such affluence. but ever since you had taken this job working with cobra you had been exposed to more and more richness. still, it was like a fever-dream.
“you’re far from that, y/n…” he replied, “now, just entertain him for the night, keep him interested but don’t let him push it too far. if anything goes wrong, i’ll be right there.”
you looked towards where he pointed, it wasn’f too far from your table. he was stationed at the bar.
and with that, the mission had begun.
you tried your best to stay intrigued by the things the baron was saying, you really did. but in all honesty, you couldn’t be bothered. often, you eyes wandered to the bar, hoping to catch s glimpse of stormshadow.
when you did happen to see him, he would give you a reassuring smile. almost as if he was letting you know that he still had your back. and that kept you going for the night.
when the excruciating dinner finally came to an end, the baron asked to send you home. however, you politely declined.
he didn’t take it well.
“c’mon, we can have a little fun at your place to.” he tried but failed to sound seductive.
“oh, no, my driver’s picking me up-”
the baron grabbed your arm.
“i think i’ve earned it.” he insisted, pulling you closer as you gave him a nervous chuckle.
stormshadow watched as his grip on his glass tightened. he thought of interfering but he knew it would compromise the mission, so he sat still, holding back whatever anger he was feeling inside.
“seriously, i shouldn’t. my driver’s outside.” you told the baron in a strict tone, making him finally stop insisting. instead, he put on a fake smile, bringing your hand up to his lips.
“i’ll see you soon, y/n.”
you put on your best geniune fake smile and took off.
once you got into the car you felt like you could breathe again. you let out a loud sigh and kicked off your heels.
then, the door opened, stormshadow swiftly got in to the seat beside you as the driver drove off.
✶ ──── 🀀 ──── ✶
the car ride was painfully silent, stormshadow hadn’t uttered a single word since he stepped in.
you took it as a sign that maybe he changed his mind, wanting to keep things more professional from now on.
when the car stopped, you picked up your heels and left without a word, heading back to your room.
“what do you think you’re doing?” stormshadow called out to you as he chased you down the hall.
“going to bed.” you said, not stopping.
“y/n, wait.” he jogged up to you, stopling you in your tracks just before you could enter your room.
“what are you doing?” it was your turn to ask now. he shook his head as a smile appeared on his face once more.
“is something wrong?”
“yeah, what’s wrong is you acting all sweet and nice to me since we met but right after dinner you’re like a whole new person!” you almost shouted, throwing your hand up in the air in defeat. “do you want to be professional? we can ditch the whole first name basis then and-”
“no.”
“w-what?”
“i didn’t like seeing the baron touch you like that.” stormshadow admitted, looking away embarrassed.
“but i’m okay, i got away.” you said softly, cupping his face to face you.
“i’ll kill him if he ever touches you again.”
your eyes widened, surely he didn’t mean it.
“you shoulder get some rest.” you told him, taking it as a joke. you brushed the now messy strays hairs away from his eyes. “thank you.”
you slowly leaned forward, pressing a gentle kiss to his cheek before you entered your room.
stormshadow laid awake that night, his mind replaying how the baron had touched your delicate skin. he wanted to be the only one that had gotten close enough to do that.
that night, he made a silent promise to himself that from then on, no one would even come close to touching you unless it was him. he would eliminate anyone that got in his way.
✶ ──── 🀀 ──── ✶
a while later, he had been assigned once again to accompany you to yet another date with the baron.
he was thrilled to be able to see you again, but the thought of you spending time with someone else while he sat there watching helplessly angered him.
the entire time as you were there with the baron, he sulked in a corner, eyes practically shooting daggers into the man that sat across you.
but things took a turn as you followed the baron back to his place.
to you, it was merely so you could gain access to his house, studying the layout and figuring out where he could possibly have kept the secret codes.
but to stormshadow, you were in danger. he knew what men like the baron could do to a pretty woman like you and he was going to do everything he could to prevent it.
“come, let’s go to my bedroom.” the baron said as he took your hand, leading you.
as the two of you got to his room, he started being more touchy with you. his hands wandered from your arm to your waist and to the back of your dress.
but before anything else could happen, he stopped. you cocked your eyebrow as his face suddenly contorted in pain, his mouth agape as he let out a silent cry for help.
then, he had fallen onto the floor at your feet. that’s when you saw it. a knofe was sticking out from his back, blood pooling and seeping into the million dollar carpet.
then, stormshadow came out from hiding, stepping out into the light.
“jesus! did you do that?!” you cursed, seeing the now dead baron at the foot of his own bed.
“i told you i’d kill him if he touched you again.”
you looked up at him in shock, he wasn’t joking.
before you could comprehend the situation, stormshadow grabbed your neck, pulling you flush against him as his lips found yours.
you easily melted right into the kiss, deepening it as he let out a low groan.
the kiss was messy, with teeth and tongue as both your mouths fought for dominace. but before you could’ve taken it further, there was a knock on the bedroom door.
“sir? is everything alright?”
shit.

“mr. steal your girl”
jealous!in-ho x you
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
as thanos’ side piece during the games, you were garunteed safety. but in-ho didn’t like the idea of you being someone elses.
⋆♱✮♱⋆ ──── ❍ Δ □ ──── ⋆♱✮♱⋆
“señorita excuse me.”
you turned around.
“join our team.”
oh, god. in front of you stood a bright purple haired man, his goons crowding around him.
“why should i?” you scoffed.
“because a girl like you can’t survive in a place like this.”
he was right and you knew it. you’ve seen how badly he’s treated members of his team, but what choice did you have? beggars can’t be choosers.
from then on, you stuck with thanos. in the first two games, he stayed true to his word, taking you under his wing.
although you felt protected, you didn’t feel safe. you knew that thanos would turn his back on as soon as something bigger came up.
unbeknownst to you, in-ho had been keeping watch. he brought the sitaution up in any conversation he could have.
“you see that girl there? player 009?” he would point out to gi-hun as he watched you.
“yeah, what about her?”
“she’s not gonna last long with those shitheads.”he could feel the rage bubbling inside him as thanos draped his hands over you, pulling you closer as he talked to his minions.
“why do you care so much? i’m sure she’ll be okay.” gi-hun would reply, shaking it off like it was no big deal.
but to in-ho it was.
he couldn’t sit there and watch whilst you got used by a man like thanos. you were so sweet, you deserved to be protected by someone that actually had the heart and skills to.
him.
⋆♱✮♱⋆ ──── ❍ Δ □ ──── ⋆♱✮♱⋆
during meal time, in-ho sat back and observed.
“you, come here. cut the line, you can take whatever you want.” thanos sneered as he dragged you to the front of the line.
“but i don’t want to.” you said softly, looking at the line of innocent, starved people behind.
“jesus.” he sighed, shoving you aside causing you to stumble.
as if on queue, in-ho appeared in front of you, pulling thanos aside.
he had enough.
“did your mother never teach you something called respect?” he spat as thanks regained his posture.
“who are you? you got a new boyfriend, girl? this old man?” thanos sneered, pointing to you. you could feel your face heating up from embarrassment as everyone stopped to stare.
“hey, i’m talking to you. look at me, not her.” he said sternly as thanos rolled his eyes.
“look, we’re fine, why don’t you go back, sit down, and eat your food, old man. i-”
in-ho wasted no time, punching him in the gut before he could finish.
then, nam-gyu stepped up, throwing back a punch. as if it weren’t embarrassing for them enough, he proceeded to miss every single one of his punches, in-ho retaliating by knocking them down easily.
as the two men cowered on the ground, in-ho went up to you.
“are you okay?” he asked, taking your arm to inspect.
“yeah… thanks.”
“come.”
“ah! it’s that girl he keeps talking about!” jung-bae exclaimed as you joined in-ho in the little circle the team had made.
in-ho nudged jung-bae’s shoulder, silencing him as you took a seat beside him.
“do you have enough to eat?” in-ho asked you, looking at what was left in your box.
“oh, yes, it’s more than enough thank you-”
“here, take this.” he interrupted, giving you half of his food.
“thank you.” you lightly chuckled as the team watched with their mouths wide open.
“hey, he never gives us his food! he’s made it clear he’s very protective of it!” dae-ho complained causing everyone to laugh.
⋆♱✮♱⋆ ──── ❍ Δ □ ──── ⋆♱✮♱⋆
not too long after, it was lights out.
the team returned back to their own beds and so did you.
“señorita, come back to me. you’re no use to those guys.” thanos said as he jogged up to your bed.
you could feel yourself getting physically sick as he got nearer.
before you could answer, in-ho came to your side.
“darling, is this man bothering you?” he asked. you could tell that just from that, thanos was intimidated.
he let out a string of mumbles under his breath and accepted defeat.
“sorry, i hope i didn’t make you uncomfortable. i was just trying to scare him off.”
“can you stay here? just for tonight?” you asked with tears suddenly flooding your eyes, taking him aback as he crouched down to meet your eyes. “what if they come back?”
his gaze softened. “no one’s going to harm you, okay? i’ll stay here tonight, you just worry about getting rest.” he said, using his thumb to wipe away a tear.
“i never got your name.” you told him, making him chuckle.
“young-il… what’s yours?”
“y/n… thank you young-il.”
in-ho could feel his heart beating faster in his chest. his ‘name’ sounded different coming from your lips, he liked it.
⋆♱✮♱⋆ ──── ❍ Δ □ ──── ⋆♱✮♱⋆
the next day, the atmosphere was rigid. every player afraid of what was to come for the next game.
in-ho had insisted on giving you his breakfast as he wasn’t hungry. when you protested, he came up with some imaginary excuse on how it’ll help you win the games.
in-ho had charm, you couldn’t deny. but what made you so attracted to him was how sincere he was.
you didn’t feel as though you were a piece of arm candy, you could feel his geniune kindness whenever he talked to you.
⋆♱✮♱⋆ ──── ❍ Δ □ ──── ⋆♱✮♱⋆
as the game was introduced to everyone, mingle, you played with your hands nervously as thanos and his team tried to get your attention.
“ignore them.” in-so simply said, not even turning to look at them. “stay close.”
when the game started, in-ho made sure you stuck to him. to be frank, he didn’t care for the rest of the team.
however, on the third round of the game, players started acting irrationally, pushing and shoving each other to secure a room before anyone else could.
the stakes were getting higher.
when the lights started flashing a blinding stroke of blue and red, you felt an arm yank you away from in-ho. you called out for him, catching his attention right away.
“we got her, let’s go!” thanos shouted as he attempted to drag you into a room with him and the team.
in-ho was fuming, pushing pasd everyone in his way, his charged at thanos.
if you hadn’t had stopped him, all of you would have been as good as dead.
you had 10 seconds left, “young-il! we need to go now!” you shouted, breaking up the two men.
before he was pulled away from thanos, he spat on him, leaving him on the ground once again as the two of you locked yourself in a room.
“are you hurt?” he asked as soon as the door closed. you shook your head ‘no’. “gosh, he pisses me off.”
“yeah, you and me both.” you agreed, slumping down onto the floor beside him.
“i need you to stay with me… that was too close y/n. who knows what could have happened if you were trapped inside with him?” he lightly scolded.
“i know…i’m sorry.”
“it’s not your fault okay? i just don’t want to lose you.” he admitted as he took your hand in his.
the game resumed afterwards, not sparing anyone a break. but in-ho knew one thing, he wasn’t going to let you go after the game, he wanted you all for himself.

“master manipulator”
dark!inho x you
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
in-ho had a special way of getting to gi-hun. with the help someone as broken as him, he knew he could get under the skin of him. in-ho was a master manipulator.
⟢ ──── ●▲■ ──── ⟢
when in-ho first joined the game, he already had his eyes set on you, not because he wanted you romantically or as a friend. it was because he knew exactly how he was going to use you to get to gi-hun.
in the first round of voting, before he befriended the team, he spotted you in the crowd.
bingo!
“what’s a young girl like you doing in a game like this?” he would say. the way the heart was flattery, he knew that.
you didn’t take it well at first, often ignoring him or giving him short replies. but after many tries and his admirable resilience, you opened up.
as he got to know you whilst during the voting, he had somehow gotten to you. to him, it was the easiest thing ever.
“you know, you could clear your debt if you just played one more game.” he whispered in your ear before it was your turn to vote.
and luckily for him, you were player 002. it may or may not have been purely a coincidence but he enjoyed every second of it anyways.
in-ho made sure that when you walked up to the panel, you would have your mind straight on what he had told you to do.
and so you did.
team ‘o’.
when he casted in the last vote, he watched as the ‘o’s had easily overruled the ‘x’s.
when he was proud of you, his little plaything, he would brush up against you, throwing his arm over you protectively.
eventually, he brought you along when he joined gi-hun’s team. for some odd reason he felt that he couldn’t just abandon you like that after you had helped him.
throughout the next few games, in-ho protected you like you were his. during the ‘six legged pentathlon’ he ensured that you had a place in the team. when playing ‘mingle’, he would take your hand as he dragged you everywhere he went.
yea, he was using you for his own use but something in him made him feel awful about it.
it was rare for in-ho to feel that way, he couldn’t remember the last time he felt so protective of someone.
but of course, all good things must come to an end.
when the third game ended, you were approached by jung-bae and gi-hun.
“hey, are you okay?” jung-bad asked as he looked you up and down seeming as if he was checking for bruises or scratches.
“y/n… jung-bae told me something concerning happened during ‘mingle’. i have to ask you something and you need to answer me honestly.” gi-hun added.
“what is it?” you would reply, fingers nervously playing behind your back.
“is young-il making you do this? anything?”
you frowned at them. how dare they?
“what?! why do you assume that?! he has done nothing wrong, i-”
“is there a problem?” in-ho stepped in, gently pushing you behind him.
“we just felt something was off with y/n, we were asking-”
“y/n is okay.” in-ho would cut them off. “y/n, sweetheart, you’re okay right?” he turned to look at you.
as you stared into his eyes you couldn’t stand the thought of not obliging to whatever he said. he felt safe, warm, just like home.
you sheepishly nodded.
“see?” in-ho tried his best to refrain himself from throwing a punch at gi-hun for the spot he put you in. “why don’t you go lie down, my dear? you must be exhausted from the game.” he told you adoringly, cupping your face as you nodded.
it was that easy.
but then, in-ho knew, his feelings were getting in the way. he was risking whatever plan he had for gi-hun because of these torturous feelings for you.
when the rebellion formed, he was torn between keeping you safe or taking you with him. but he figured a naive, young girl like you couldn’t be left in that hellhole alone without him. ‘who was going to protect you?’ he thought.
however, as the team got closer and closer to the control room, he knew his cover was going to be blown.
he hid behind the stairwell with you and a fellow player. contemplating if he should handle it himself or get you involved.
eventually, he made up his mind.
“y/n, honey, shoot him please.” he told you in that same sweet tone.
“w-what?”
“you know i’ll keep you safe, he’s going to get in the way. you have to.”
just as simple as that, the player was shot down by you, laying in a pool of his own blood because of your betrayal.
“oh, attagirl.” he would praise, sending shivers down your spine.
even with a sight so gruesome as that, he could make you feel like the luckiest and happiest person alive with his praises.
without a question, you had followed him back to his headquarters, in-ho keeping you hand in his every step of the way.
“now, i need you to take this…” he told you, kneeling down, giving you a walkie talkie as you sat on his bed. “… watch the cameras and as soon as someone gets near this door i need you to tell me, okay?”
“but what’s going on?” you asked wanting an explanation for all the chaos, the wreckage.
“i’ll explain everything to you when i get back.” he brushed it off.
“don’t leave me here alone please.”
in-ho felt his heart break. your voice was so soft and gentle.
he brushed the hair away from your face and wiped your tears.
“it’ll only take a while, i’ll be back as soon as i can.”
and with one last kiss to your forehead, he was off.
he had a new addition to his team.

“the calm before the storm”
stormshadow (lee byung hun) x you
Tumblr media Tumblr media
stormshadow had been hired by cobra commander to retrieve the warheads from the gi joes. but they failed to inform him that he had to work with a partner… someone he had grown very fond of
༒ ──── 𖣘 ──── ༒︎
“stormshadow, this is y/n. you will be working together to retrieve the warheads.” the commander said, leaving you and him both in shock as he walked off.
“i’m sorry, i wasn’t told i was working with anyone.” you said, breaking the silence.
“me neither.” he replied, “that’s alright, ms y/n? i presume?”
he extended his hand out as he the other slipped his sword back into its sleeve, not wanting to scare you away.
“yeah, stormshadow right? i’ve heard stories about you.”
he nodded, bringing your hand up to his lips as he placed a gentle kiss on it.
“i’m honored.” he smiled.
“c’mon, people! planes taking off!” the pilot announced, making stormshadow take your hand, bringing you to the private jet.
once you were on the jet, you took your seats, stormshadow sitting right beside you.
“so is it true?” you blurted out before you could stop yourself.
“what is?” he cocked an eyebrow.
“you have those little star throwing thingies.” you tried to hold back your laughter, making him roll his eyes playfully.
he pulled something out of his pocket, holding it up with two fingers as your mouth dropped.
“it’s beautiful!” you gasped, admiring the shuriken.
stormshadow watched with pride as you were in awe of his weapon, it was so easy to get your attention, he loved it.
for the rest of the flight, he showed you one by one each weapon he had in him, even giving you one of his shuriken as a gift.
༒ ──── 𖣘 ──── ༒︎
when you landed, the two of you headed straight to the location the g.i. joe’s were camping at.
sneaking into the facility was easy, but for stormshadow he was having a hard time, he couldn’t for the life of him focus. maybe it was the similar white suit you had on that perfectly hugged your body, showing off your curves. or the fact that he was supposed to be doing a mission with the best girl he had ever met.
in-and-out. easy.
naturally, the joe’s had caught on quickly, causing the entire mission to take a dangerous toll. stormshadow was a professional, he knew what he needed to do, and most of the time, he did it all for the money.
little did he expect himself to actually enjoy this particular mission. he stole glances from you whenever he could, making sure you were okay.
when you had gotten your hands on the breifcase of warheads, he guided you every step of the way as the two of you escaped.
however, there was a complication just as you could step out of the facility. the guard must have been hiding, because stormshadow had almost ran right into his arms.
you thought quickly, taking the shuriken he had given you and tossing it right into the guards abdomen, causing him to fold over, lesring your path.
stormshadow halted, making you crash into him.
“where did that come from?!” he asked frantically as he looked around.
“what? what?! that was me!”
“you?!”
“yea! how could you not have seen him! he was practically hiding in plain sight!”
“we’ll settle this later, we gotta get out of here.” he lightly scolded, grabbing your arm as you took off.
༒ ──── 𖣘 ──── ༒︎
when you got back to cobra base, you were greeted at the front gate by the head commander.
“ah, y/n! i knew i could count on you!” he said, pulling you into a hug as his hand got dangerously low behind your back.
stormshadow didn’t leave his action unnoticed.
“well, i had help.” you awkwardly chuckled as you pulled away.
after some small talk, you retreated back to your room, throwing yourself onto the bed as you let out a sigh of relief.
“if he touches you again, i will kill him.”
you jerked up from the bed, letting out a loud scream as you grabbed your gun, aiming it at the voice.
“whoa, whoa.” it was stormshadow. he stepped into the light, making you throw your gun aside.
“jesus… you scared me.” you chuckled, hand on your chest as you sat back down.
“i thought you were a professional?” he teased, stepping in front of you.
“and by the way, you don’t have to kill him, everything’s fine. he’s just touchy.” you shook your head.
“we’ll see if he dares to lay a hand on you again.” stormshadow replied. “you know, that was some impressive skills back there, you saved me… i feel like i should owe you something.”
you grinned. “it was an easy throw, you’re just getting soft on me.”
“maybe.” he whispered, staring deep into your eyes. “i can’t focus with you here…” he admitted.
“that’s too bad.” you told him. “maybe you should find another job.”
“i don’t think i want to.”
you were now inches away from each other, you could feel his breath panning on your skin, his eyes still never leaving yours.
before you could stand a chance to seal the deal, the door flew open.
“who’s ready for another mission?”
༒ ──── 𖣘 ──── ༒︎
i’m not kidding when i say i’ve watched 3 movies that lee byung hun had starred in in the past 24hours. i am losing my mind.
the movie this is based on is g.i. joe, go watch!

“teacher’s pet” (mdni 18+)
teacher!in-ho x you
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
when in-ho’s wife tragically passed, he found comfort in a certain student in his class. how far was he willing to go with a student?
✮⋆˙ ──── ୨୧ ──── ✮⋆˙
in-ho had a perfect life. stable job, great friends and a loving wife.
he loved his wife unconditionally, they had the perfect relationship. they rarely argued, and the sex was amazing.
but his life came crumbling when he received a phone call from the hospital. his wife had gotten into a car accident.
in-ho was lost after that, for a few months he stepped down from teaching. he spent his time trying to find his happiness again. it was hard, he was stricken with grief, he thought there was nothing else for him in life.
eventually in-ho felt like he should get off his ass and do something.
he met with the principal of the school he was teaching at, wanting to get back.
he thought of it like a distraction, just something he could look forward to in the daytime.
✮⋆˙ ──── ୨୧ ──── ✮⋆˙
it was the first day of school, students were pushing and shoving to get to class.
you entered the classroom with your friends, seeing a new, unfamiliar teacher at the front of the classroom, taking your seat at the back.
“good morning class, my name is mr in-ho, i’ll be your new math teacher this semester.” the teacher announced as he turned to face the students.
“hey, he’s pretty hot.” you turned to look at your friend with your mouth hung wide open, slapping her on the arm as you both laughed.
lesson went on as per normal that first day, mr in-ho spent the hour introducing himself and getting to know everyone.
as the bell rang, signalling the end of class, everyone packed their bags frantically.
“that’s all, i’ll see everyone tomorrow.” mr in-ho said.
as the students got up to leave, a loud thud was heard from the front of the classroom.
“get up, nerd.” you heard.
you sighed, walking towards the girl who had been tripped by another student, helping her up as you glared at her bully.
“fuck off, what do you want?” you asked, taking a protective stand in front of the poor girl.
the bully said nothing, simply turning on his heel and leaving.
by now, all the students had left, leaving you, the girl, and mr in-ho behind.
“t-thank you.” the girl said, bowing her head as you frowned.
“you don’t have to thank me. he shouldn’t be doing that… are you okay?” you asked.
she then nodded, giving you an awkward smile as you scurried off.
“hey, whats your name?” you heard a voice call out from behind you.
“oh, i didn’t realise you were still here.” you replied, seeing the new teacher behind his desk, packing his bag. “i’m y/n. y/n l/n.”
“that’s pretty.” he commented, offering you a small smile.
“thank you.” you blushed.
“that was really kind, what you did there.”
“oh, yeah, he has been really mean to many students. poor girl just didn’t have anyone looking out for her.”
“you’re a good girl, y/n.”
oh.
“t-thank you?” you chuckled nervously.
“what’s your next class? maybe i could walk you there.” mr in-ho said as the two of you stepped outside into the hallway.
“english. but i think i’ll be the one leading you.” you joked, causing him to let out a laugh.
✮⋆˙ ──── ୨୧ ──── ✮⋆˙
that night, in-ho went home feeling better than he had been the past few months. he felt like he had really connected with his new students.
they were so kind, so gentle, so sweet…
no, you were.
you were so kind, so gentle, so sweet.
the interaction he had with you kept replaying in his mind, he couldn’t think about anything or anyone else.
you reminded him of someone he used to know, and that fueled him.
the next day, he went to class as per usual. however, he didn’t take your class until noon, which meant he had to wait patiently for your class.
by 11am, he got pretty bored he had to admit. in-ho felt like he was just going through the motions, teaching the different batches of students that came in one after another.
however, when the clock striked 12, oh he was excited.
what he was excited about? he didn’t know.
he then heard a familiar laugh echoing through the halls. he turned to the door, waiting expectantly for you to come through.
the door flew open, revealing not only you to his dismay, but your group of friends surrounding you. he couldn’t make out what you were laughing about but he was incredibly intrigued.
“good afternoon.” you said cheerfully as you gave him a small wave before you took your seat.
in-ho felt a wave of flush run through him, he cleared his throat and ruffled his hair. “good afternoon, y/n.”
“oo, someone already made a move before the rest of us.” your friend teased, nudging your elbow playfully as you rolled your eyes.
time passed quickly as in-ho taught his first lesson to your class. he had found himself stealing tiny glances of you as he walked around, trying his hardest to not make it obvious.
his heart was beating so quickly he thought he could pass out.
maybe he was being delusional, or maybe even hallucinating, but he swore at times when he stole glances, you were already staring. and that made him nearly choke on his words multiple times.
after class, he stayed behind again, hoping that you would somehow approach him, striking up a conversation.
but you didn’t.
someone did approach him, but it wasn’t you. it was your friend.
“so… where did you teach before this? do you like it here? how is it like teaching our class?” she bombarded him with questions.
you took it as a sign to leave.
as you walked out, you turned for one last look. but to your surprise, you were met with the eyes of mr in-ho, as soon as he had been caught, he looked away, pretending to be interested in the conversation.
“see you tomorrow, mr in-ho.” you called out. but before he had the chance to reply, you had left.
somehow, you felt jealous. jealous that he was talking to someone like you first did. but why did it matter? he was just your teacher afterall.
✮⋆˙ ──── ୨୧ ──── ✮⋆˙
that night as he got home, in-ho dropped all his things. he practically ripped open his shirt and unbuckled his pants as fast as he could.
god, he couldn’t get you out of his mind.
he thought of your soft voice and your innocent face as he started to stroke himself.
‘fuck.’ he cursed as he started to go faster, his mind racing with images of your face.
he could almost hear your voice calling his name again. he replayed your laughter over and over again like a broken record.
in-ho went to sleep that night with you and only you on his mind. he knew he was fucked.
✮⋆˙ ──── ୨୧ ──── ✮⋆˙
weeks went by and in-ho found himself getting bolder and bolder.
within a month, he moved on to not so subtle touches.
as he paced around the classroom teaching, he took your seat at the back of the classroom to his advantage. he tested waters initially, brushing against your arm as he walked by.
when you seemed okay with it, he tried to deepen the contact.
he would place a hand on your shoulder as he passed you. when you didn’t move away or seemed uncomfortable, he knew he hit the jackpot.
his touch started to linger for longer than it needed to. somehow he craved touching you more and more.
what made him more desperate was the fact that he could smell your perfume whenever he walked anywhere near you.
it messed with his head in the best way possible.
furthermore, he started to notice how his actions took a toll on you. whenever he gently touched your shoulder, you would draw your legs together. was he really turning you on?
if he had happened to see you in the hallways, he would call you by name, greeting you, even starting small conversations.
he loved how everytime he did so, you light blush would creep onto your cheeks and you would struggle to meet his gaze, looking anywhere but into his eyes.
if this continued, he didn’t know how much he could take. all the cock-teasing, the small interactions.
he wanted more.

“friend or foe” pt.2
soft!frontman (hwang in-ho) x you
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
when frontman joined the games, he thought it was solely to see gihun fail, but his intentions shifted when a certain player number 455 caught his attention…
⟢ ──── ●▲■ ──── ⟢
the next day, you ate breakfast with in-ho and the team. they discussed different strategies and games in which they might have to play.
naturally, in-ho had given his milk to you even after much protests. he explained how it would help you get stronger and ready for the games.
“where’s my milk?” jung-bae sulked as everyone laughed.
you stayed beside in-ho the entire time. since after the second game, you had grown very fond of him. and luckily for you, so did he.
he felt protective of you, he wouldn’t let you out of his sight. even more so in a place like this. when you were caught up with thanos’ team, trying to save yourself after bumping into nam-gyu
in-ho made sure to step up, teaching thanos and his friends a lesson for laying a hand on you, or even threatening you.
he would have went feral if you hadn’t stopped him by pulling him away into a corner, helping him cool off.
“it’s okay, i’m okay.” you told him as you tried to get him to tear his eyes away from glaring at thanos.
“did they hurt you?” he simply asked, ignoring everything else you had just said.
‘no’. you shook your head.
after that, he made sure he always had you within feet from him.
⟢ ──── ●▲■ ──── ⟢
when it was time for the third game, in-ho held your hand as everyone walked towards the game room.
“i hope it’s something we can play in teams.” he said to you, making you smile.
“why? so you can team up with me?” you teased.
“of course.”
when you reached the game room, a large carousel sat in the center of the room. around it were different colored doors with numbers on them, 1-50.
“what is this?” in-ho wondered out loud as a voice came through the speakers.
‘the game is mingle. the carousel will move when the music plays…once it stops, a number will be called out. the number is the number of people you will need to have in your group before you enter a room of your choice.’
“shit.” you cursed under your breath.
it was going to be a bloodbath.
of course, in-ho already knew this. he might have been acting scared, but deep down, he was. how was he to garuntee your safety in a game like this.
if he didn’t come up with anything quickly, he could mess up the game, or worse, lose you.
⟢ ──── ●▲■ ──── ⟢
‘start’
ring-a ring-a ring-a ring-a ring-a ring-a ring-a
as the giant carousel began to rotate, in-ho’s grip on your hand became tighter.
‘10’
“we need 5!” gi-hun yelled over the chaos that insued.
“we’re 5! let’s go! green door!” player 120 said as both teams ran for the door.
inside, in-ho made sure you were okay first before he checked on the rest.
“you should be thanking me!” a woman suddenly declared, throwing her hand up in the air. “without me, you all would have died!”
“geez! the ego on this woman.” jung-bae scoffed.
then, she whipped her head around, finger flying to your face as she stopped inches away, almost hitting you.
“can i help you?” you asked.
“you… you’re here for a purpose.” she said.
in-ho pulled you aside, stepping in front as he glared at the woman.
“you talk to her again and i’ll make sure you’re locked outside.”
the woman could only gulp.
just in time, the door unlocked, saving the lady’s ass as well as yours.
⟢ ──── ●▲■ ──── ⟢
“fuckin’ crazy sharman lady.” in-ho muttered to himself as he got back up onto the platform.
you giggled. it was funny how he was affected by everything else but the deadly game he was in the midst of.
‘4’
shit. someone was going to be left behind.
“gi-hun! take her, i’ll find others!” in-ho instructed as gi-hun nodded, grabbing your arm and dashing into a room.
“young-il!” you screamed as you were being dragged away from him.
he was so selfless, he only cared about saving you and his ‘friends’.
“he’ll be okay.” dae-ho told you as he stood beside you, peeping through the hole in the door.
the next few minutes were excruciating. you couldn’t find in-ho in the running, desperate crowd.
little did you know, in-ho was in a room on his own, locking it before anyone could enter.
he catched his breath as a guard came up to the doorhole, aiming his gun at him.
“stand down.” in-ho ordered, making the guard turn away, walking off.
when the doors unlocked, you sprinted out.
“there!” gi-hun called out, pointing to in-ho who was running towards you.
you practically flung yourself onto him, taking him aback as he laughed.
“oh my god, i was so worried.” you told him as you pulled away.
“you can’t rid of me that easy.”
“ah! we thought you couldn’t find enough people in time!” jung-bae chipped in.
“i’m a very likeable man, i do well in these games.” he joked.
⟢ ──── ●▲■ ─── ⟢
when it came down to the final round, a thick air of tension filled the atmosphere.
the last number was announced, ‘2’. you knew exactly what they were doing. around 150 people left, 50 rooms, you were going to have to fight for the rooms.
the team had split up, in-ho naturally sticking eith you as you both ran for the nearest room.
just as you were about to enter, you felt a strong push, knocking you to the ground onto your back as the man took your place, shutting the door as the timer hit 0.
“y/n!” in-ho shouted as tears started to fill your eyes.
“young-il… don’t let me die.” you cried.
oh, he was angry. angry wasn’t even actually able to cover it. he was fuming.
he picked up the man by the collar, punching and kicking him as he yelled in frustration.
as the guards approached you, you heard his voice.
“standdown! now!” he said, “that is an order.”
just like that, the gun held up towards your temple was gone. the guard walked over to the room, using a set of keys to open it before standing behind you.
in-ho however did not step out. he simply grabbed the man who was already fighting for his dear life, locking him in a headlock.
“w-what?” you asked, backing away from in-ho as his eyes pooled with anger.
“take her upstairs.” he said to the guard as he nodded, lifting you up and dragging you away.
the last thing you heard was the loud crack of the man’s neck echoing through your ears.
(i am going insane)

“betrayal at its cost”
dark!frontman (hwang in-ho) x you
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
when in-ho could no longer keep up with his facade, he had to choose between gi-hun or you
⟢ ──── ●▲■ ──── ⟢
part one
“i think the control room is right above us! we just need to push past the guards, can you buy us some time?!” gi-hun shouted over the roar of gunfires.
“are you sure? what if you can’t find it?” you asked, slumping behind a wall as you reloaded your gun with the last bit of ammunition you had.
in-ho watched closely as you carefully held the now fully loaded gun. he noticed your entire being trembling, shaking even, with adrenaline or fear, your eyes were filled with regret as the team fought hard against the guards.
“jung-bae! come with me, the rest of you should stay here and help y/n and in-ho!”
“but we’re almost out of ammunition! they’re going to notice soon!” hyun-ju stated, noticing the last few rounds everyone had.
everyone sat in silence for a brief moment. it was as though the reality of the situation had just hit. nobody had any idea how they were going to outsmart the guards, let alone the front man.
just then, you leaned forward towards a guards motionless body not too far away. in-ho instinctively shielded your body from the guards which somehow stopped firing their guns at that exact moment.
it was strange, but there was no time to argue.
you reached inside the pocket of the guard, fumbling around before you pulled your hand out, just one round of ammunition for the guns in hand.
“i think they all have an extra round in their jackets! we just have to head to the room where we came from, get the ammo and we’ll be able to push them further back enough to reach the control room.” you said as everyone nodded.
in-ho however, looked at you with a small glimmer in his eyes. maybe you were smarter than he thought, he loved it. but then again came a question, how will he deceive you when the time comes for him to be the frontman again?
“i’ll go!” dae-ho exclaimed, raising his hand high in the air.
“i’ll go with yo-”
“no. you’re staying here.” in-ho cut you off.
“but-”
“no, dae-ho will be okay. you should stay and help us.” in-ho argued, making you frown in confusion.
“come back as soon as you can dae-ho, we’re all counting on you.” player 246 said as dae-ho nodded.
with that, dae-ho, gi-hun and jung-bae were off, leaving you panting heavily as the gunfires refused to cease.
“you’re shaking.” in-ho stated, taking your hand.
“i’m okay, it’s just the adrenaline.” you tried to play it off, pulling your hand away when a bullet shot right past your shoulder.
⟢ ──── ●▲■ ──── ⟢
part two
what gi-hun wasn’t expecting was the number of guards who were expecting them. he and jung-bae had no choice but to take over behind walls of a staircase where they had nowhere else to go.
“what do we do, gi-hun? we’re running out of ammo!” jung-bae shouted, sweat dripping from his forehead.
“we wait for dae-ho to come back. he’ll give us the ammo we need and we can get to the control room!” gi-hun replied as he picked up the walkie talkie. “in-ho! as soon as dae-ho gets back, get him to come give us the ammo, we don’t have much time!”
“got it.” in-ho replied.
“i don’t think they can last! i’ll go up and help them, you guys wait for dae-ho!” he instructed the group. “y/n and you come with me.” he said, pointing to another player.
the three of you grabbed your guns and headed up the way gi-hun went. somehow, in-ho didn’t look like he was afraid at all. he didn’t bother inspecting each corner to check if it was safe and he knew where every turn was.
something was definitely wrong with this and you knew it.
when you found gi-hun and jung-bae, they were hanging on for dear life. there were way too many guards up on the staircase for them to take down alone.
“in-ho, you’re here! where’s the ammo?” gi-hun asked.
“dae-ho hasn’t came back, i figured we come help you in the meantime.” he replied, easily shaking off the fact that he had just abandoned the plan.
“i think i saw another way behind on the way here, we should check it out. we might be able to take the guards down from there.” you explained as gi-hun nodded.
“stay safe, keep the walkie’s on… in-ho, take this.”gi-hun took his last round of ammo he had, giving it to in-ho.
⟢ ──── ●▲■ ──── ⟢
part three
“you sure you know the way?” in-ho asked as you led the way as you insisted. “i don’t think it’s that way, my dear.”
“i swear it is!” you insisted, turning the corner but again, you were met with a wall.
“you’re cute. it’s this way.” in-ho said, pulling you back from the way you came from.
“how do you know?”
“i’m just more observant than you.” he shrugged.
believe or not, in-ho was somehow right. he led you right behind the guards that threatened gi-hun and jung-bae.
you took your place carefully behind a wall, aiming your gun, so did in-ho and the other guy.
but just as you were about to take a shot, an even louder one rang loudly. you dropped your gun and dropped to the floor, your back slamming against the wall as you covered your ears. the shot was near, it wasn’t something aimed at the guards further up.
when the ringing came to a stop, you checked yourself, seeing if it was a shot that hit you. when you were clear you looked at in-ho.
his demeanour had changed, he had a cold look on his face, the same cheerful in-ho gone. looking down, you saw his hand…
the gun in hand, pointed straight at your fellow player while now laid on the floor in a puddle of blood, choking.
“in-ho?” you managed to utter out, body growing cold in fear of the man standing in front of you.
“yes?” he replied, drawing back his gun, eyes not meeting yours.
“w-what… did someone shoot-? how?” tears were now forming in your eyes as you crawled towards the body, pressing your hand against the man’s wound in an attempt to stop the bleeding.
“y/n, please step away from him.” in-ho asked, voice calmer than ever.
when you didn’t budge, he asked once more, extending his hand out to you. “please y/n?”
you slowly moved away from the body, taking his hand.
it was so wrong, you knew that he did it. he had double-crossed you, but why were you still being drawn in by him? you couldn’t help but follow whatever he asked you to.
“good girl, now come here.” in-ho smiled, wrapping his hands around you, holding you tightly in a hug. he kissed the top of your head as you let out shorts breaths.
he took the walkie talkie from his pocket, bringing it up, slightly pulling away from you.
you took a step back, but in-ho held on tightly to your arm.
“young-il? what’s going on? did you take them down?” you heard gi-hun over the walkie.
you opened your mouth to call for help but in-ho moved quickly, bringing his hand from your arm to your mouth.
“gi-hun…” in-ho said into the walkie, faking an exasperated voice. “…they got us, i’m sorry… it’s over.”
he then leaned down towards the poor player choking on the ground on his own blood. the gurgles of his blood sounded so ghastly.
“no! young-il! young-il? what’s going on?! what do you mean?!” gi-hun shouted, his voice being echoed throughout the stairway.
then in-ho changed the channel of the walkie talkie.
‘wrap it up.’
you struggled under his grip. you weren’t sure what to do, but you knew in-ho was not the man he was anymore. this man was a monster, a betrayer at it’s finest.
“are you scared?” in-ho asked, cocking his head to the side.
you nodded.
“but i’m still the same young-il. the young-il you trust, the one you love.” he smiled. “let’s go, we have so much to do together!”

when frontman planned the ‘mingle’ game, he knew it was set out to kill and eliminate. what he didn’t expect was how much he was willing to compromise when he had someone to lose.
⋆♱✮♱⋆ ──── 〇 △ □ ──── ⋆♱✮♱⋆
part one
as the games continued, the tension between the players continued to increase. between the ‘x’s and ‘o’s laid a thick, heavy atmosphere. nobody knew who to trust, there had been far too many betrayals for a lifetime.
however, you yourself had one person that you trusted…
young-il.
young-il had approached you after the first game, saying how since you and him were alone you should stick together.
you had your share of skepticism but something drew you in each time you tried to pull away. young-il was just so charming, so charismatic and gentle with you. you had seen how angry he could be when standing up for the rights of each person individually but with you he was just so soft spoken.
when you went to sleep, he would stay by you. either on the edge of your bed keeping watch or laying down beside your headrest staying ever so close to you.
of course you protected him too, maybe not as brave as he was when doing so but you always made sure he was safe and healthy. you would give him extra food and even though he protested, you’d make him eat it anyway.
he loved that you were equally protective and loving towards him as he was to you. he felt a sense of pride whenever you would stand up for him. it made the young boy in him happy and he knew it.

part two
“players please walk in an orderly fashion towards your third game.”
you were walking beside young-il as he had his hand on your back making sure that you were always with him even though you were walking with the rest of the group.
“what game do you think we’ll play now?” you asked, looking up at him.
young-il let out a small chuckle, he loved how it didn’t even sound like you knew how dire the situation you were in was.
“i’m not sure, y/n. what are you hoping it’ll be?” he replied.
“maybe hopscotch, or jump rope.”
“maybe.”
however, when you stepped into the game room, there was a giant carousel in the middle. around it were many doors painted with different colors.
“oh, what is this? a giant carousel, how strange!” jung-bae made a remark, stepping onto the giant platform.
young-il stretched out his hand for you, briefly helping you up beside him once again, you thanked him with a smile.
“the game is ‘mingle’. a song will play as the carousel spins, once the song ends and the movement comes to a stop, a number will be called out. you must then make a team of the number and head into any room of your choice.”
“that sounds easy.” dae-ho said.
“no. it can’t be that simple, it never is.”

part three
round one
‘round, round, round, round! let’s dance in circles!clap your hands and sing! la-la-la-la let’s have fun dancing!’
the child-like music blasted loudly as the lights started to dim. with a jerk of the platform, it started to spin.
young-il instinctively grabbed your arm, keeping you with him at all cost.
“no matter what happens, do not let go of me. you understand?” he instructed sternly as he turned to face you.
but before you could reply, the platform came to a sudden halt, causing you to stumble and grab onto young-il’s arm.
‘ten.’
then, the music abruptly stopped, a loud jarring alarm now taking its place on the speakers as the lights flashed and flickered.
“we have 6! we need 4 more!” gi-hun shouted as panic started to set in within everyone.
“we’re 4!” player 120 yelled, running towards you with 3 players behind.
“let’s go! yellow door!” young-il shouted, leading the way, his hand still grabbing onto yours.
he flung the door open and carefully led you in, making sure you were okay before going back out, holding the door for the others to enter.
as the timer hit one, he drew the door shut behind him. the lock on it clicking as he looked out.
you joined him as you stood and watched the scene unfold in front of you. it was chaos everywhere. those who were unable to find a team in time were scrambling and screaming, some even on their knees begging for the guards who were now pointing guns at them to spare them.
round two
the door clicked, unlocking itself moments later. you stepped out, met with the sight of blood and dead bodies of players around. young-il came up behind you, holding you close again. “look straight, don’t look down okay?” he whispered, placing a kiss on the top of your head.
‘ring-a, ring-a, ring-a, ring-a, ring-a, ring-a’
you took in a deep breath as the platform started moving once more. this time everyone looked much more scared, you could see some shaking in fear while others were clearly enjoying themselves, linking arms and dancing in circles like a bunch of lunatics.
“four.”
your eyes shot to young-il. somehow even under the blinding flashes of lights, he looked just as handsome.
“you four go! me and y/n will find two more!” he shouted over the chaos.
“are you sure?!” gi-hun asked, skeptical to leave his friends.
“yes, go!”
with that, the six of you split ways. the four easily finding a room. gi-hun however was nervous. what if you couldn’t find a room in time? what if you couldn’t find more people?
“young-il, split up, i get one you get one!” you shouted, pulling back.
“no! y/n, don’t-”
but you didn’t listen. you knew that if you went together you wouldn’t be able to find two people in time.
“pink door! room twenty! i’ll meet you there!” you said and took off, running the opposite direction, leaving him no choice but to do as you asked.
you frantically looked everywhere for another person, it was hard to find someone that hasn’t already been dragged away by a team. then, you spotted a boy being kicked back by the two dancing lunatics.
you ran as fast as you could to him, grabbing him by the arm and leading him to room twenty. there young-il was already inside, holding open the door for you to enter.
as soon as your feet stepped inside, he shut the door tight behind you.
“my god, what were you thinking?! are you insane?!” he gently scolded, his head in his hands as he ruffled his hair.
“look, i’m okay!” you smiled, “and what did i tell you? it’s way faster that way.”
young-il let out a sigh of disbelief, rolling his eyes and he took his hands out of yours. just in time to save the two poor people in the same room, the door opened.
the boy you had saved mumbled a small ‘thank you’ before he took off, leaving you and young-il in the room alone.
“i’m sorry, i just wanted to help you.” you apologised.
“y/n, i was scared you weren’t going to come back.” he said, almost like a whisper. he walked over to you, pulling you into a hug.
“i’m sorry i-”
“don’t apologise, it’s okay. you’re a strong girl right? i knew you could do it.” he lightly chuckled, pulling away.
you offered him a smile in return, grabbing his hand again before leaving the room.
“there you guys are! we were worried sick!” a familiar voice said.
there, gi-hun and the team ran towards you, jung-bae engulfing young-il in a tight hug while dae-ho pulled you in for one too.
“hey, i’m a very likeable person. i do well in these games.” young-il joked, purposefully glancing at you, giving you a wink.

part four
round three
‘ring-a, ring-a, ring-a, ring-a, ring-a, ring-a, ring-a, lets’s hold hands together, let’s have fun together’
‘three’
“how do you wanna do it?” you asked gi-hun who had a panic stricken look on his face.
“jung-bae, dae-ho and me! you, young-il and jun-hee!”
without question, young-il grabbed your arm again, dashing towards the nearest door before anyone could enter. he was so quick you almost couldn’t grab jun-hee’s hand in time.
after making sure everyone settled in safely unharmed, you immediately rushed to jun-hee’s side.
“was that too rough? did i hurt you? how’s your stomach?” you asked as she stood in the corner trying to catch her breath.
young-il watched without saying a word. he was immediately in a trance just by watching you, seeing you so gentle and kind towards people in need. it made him regret recruiting a kind soul like you into the game. he knew right then that it was either you or the game, especially once you found out exactly who he was.
round four
“how many more rounds do we have to play? i’m getting exhausted.” you said practically collapsing onto young-il as the platform stopped suddenly, not giving time for you to recover before the game started again.
“six.”
you were so exhausted you couldn’t even process everything that was happening, all you knew was that young-il was leading you by your hand straight into another room where you were met with familiar faces, the old lady’s team… but someone was missing.
1,2,3,4,5…
…player 095
“where is she?!” you asked, suddenly aware of the situation.
you could hear young-il’s voice telling you to stay in place and that he would go out and look for her but you ignored him, pulling open the door.
there you saw her on the floor, crying for help. but before you could step out, someone pushed you back into the room, knocking you back and locking the door behind him.
you felt a pair of hands immediately grab onto your stomach, catching you before you fell. young-il pulled you back, your body flush against him as the boy turned around, just as the timer hit zero and the door locked itself.
“nonono what did you do?!” player 120 shouted at him, shoving him to look out the hole. “young-mi! young-mi! no!”
“i just saved your lives! she wouldn’t have made it in time anyway!” he scoffed back.
“unnie!” young-mi cried, the pain in her voice piercing everyone’s heart.
“young-il.” you cried, turning to face away from the heartbreaking sight. you could still hear her cries as you buried your head into young-il’s chest. his arms wrapping around your body as he tried to comfort you.
then, there was a silent gunshot and the cries stopped.
for the first time, young-il felt a sense of guilt from the games. a stinging wave of sadness spread throughout his whole being.
maybe it was holding your shaking and exhausted body, or hearing your cries that made him soft again. he wasn’t sure whether to hate you or love you for it.
when the doors opened, everyone was still in a state of shock and grief.
“c’mon, it’s okay, it’s almost over.” he said softly as he guided you back onto the carousel.

part five
final round
“it’s two.” young-il said coldly, looking around.
“how do you know?” you asked.
“at least a hundred people left, fifty rooms. they’re going to make us fight for it, that’s what they do…”
‘two’
without wasting a second, you and young-il ran towards the closest room.
this round was the more vicious and violent, everyone threw away their morales. there were some kicking others out of rooms, dragging teams away.
you must not have been paying attention because just as you were about to enter the room, right behind young-il, a pair of hands grabbed you from your waist, lifting you in the air and throwing you aside causing you to scream young-il’s name.
young-il whipped his head around, seeing you land on the floor, hitting your head in the process. rage fueled him as he pounced onto the man, giving you time to go into the room.
however, you were met with the sight of another man.
“get out.” you told him.
“no! we were here first!” he shouted back.
just then, young-il came running in, shutting the door behind him. when he saw another person in the room, he was fast to react, launching himself at the man.
“hey fuckin’ let me in!” a voice yelled from the outside.
you jumped into action, pressing your back towards the door, holding it shut while others tried to come in.
you looked up at the timer in the room.
10 seconds
young-il knew exactly what to do, he just wondered if it was the right thing to do in front of you. but as seconds passed, he knew for certain what he had to do if he wanted you to survive.
9
he grabbed the man by the neck, keeping him in a headlock
8
you could see the fear in the man’s eyes
7
the man started choking
6
his legs started to thrash around
5
he was fighting for every breath he could take
4
young-il’s grip tightened
3
‘crack’
2
silence filled the room
1
your eyes were wide open in shock as you waited for young-il to break the silence.
“y/n, i’m so sorry.” he finally said, putting down the now lifeless body onto the ground as he made his way to you.
you were beyond taken aback with the sight that was in front of you, hand over your mouth as you started to breathe quickly.
“hey, no, no. please don’t be scared. it’s me, y/n, it’s okay.” he said with that same gentle voice of his when he was talking to you, just not in a situation like this.
he took your hand away from your face, bringing it down and held your face in his hands.
“look at me please.” he said, his voice now so, so soft, almost as if he was pleading.
you blinked away tears as you slowly looked at young-il, staring deep into his brown eyes.
“thatta girl, it’s okay… i did what i had to do to keep you safe…” he said. “that’s what i promised you right?”
you nodded.
he leaned forward, placing a kiss on your forehead before stepping back. he wiped away your tears with his hands before taking your hand in his again, leading you out as the game came to an end.
what the fuck just happened?
