I just DUNNO it's uneasy to see a big business interpretation of copyright to be the thing that saves independent artists. but I'm also aware I don't know what the solution is in a fight between a technology that doesn't care about independent creators (and was rushed out too early before any chance of reigning it back) and a corporate system that doesn't care about independent creators and both just want to use your labour and throw you away

Mate I am struggling to see why “poor Harry Potter fans help them :(“ could ever be anyone’s response after so much harm has been caused by the culture of fear built up by Rowling’s unhinged obsession with trans people, over the rights of the people she’s causing harm to.

especially when those lists of books have already been made over and over again

Don’t give her money, don’t read her work, but god it just feels really belittling to centre the egos of fans of a book series (of which I’m not? If your implication is “oh no it’s fine” from the original post) repeatedly in this.
