lowkey having ptsd flashbacks of being in an IB (honors) program in high school after my former principal came into the restaurant I work at today. makes me angry to this day how they'd assign hours of busy work every night to kids, basically depriving teens of the chance to have a life, all while the teachers would constantly repeat the mantra that the "real world" was actually going to be much harder so we had to be prepared. all I got from it was a phobia of studying/school so now I'm stuck working at a restaurant (for now) even tho I know I can do so much more
