Another year at Hogwarts, which means more fun, frivolity, drugs, and sex. At least for me.

No, we aren’t ghosts ‘cause even ghosts have a home to haunt. No, we aren’t ghosts, we open doors and we shed our skin. No, we aren’t ghosts, open your windows and let us in. Still and freezing we can see our breath.  Tom told me that the drive was short but the tank is empty. (cold concrete and basements.)  We echo in our haunted blood.  The strings are fire, the bass is roaring, the beat carries us on.  If our bodies weave into the ground that they stand on we cannot fall down.  As we slowly push the earth into itself it collapses us. And we take photos to remember how great it was to be children.  Or forgotten faces in the backgrounds of your lives.  We’ve all been relatives or coworkers.  We’ve all been forgiven as we slowly push the earth into itself.  We take photos. The song plays on but the record’s cracking.  The house is gone but the floors are creaking.

You've never had a friend? I mean...I've just started having semblances of just friendship outside of Sherlock, so I understand. I don't think I'd be the best friend for you right now. I think I'm a pretty terrible one.
Tumblr media
We need to find a friend for you, I think I know who too. Does the name, Merlin, sound familiar? Besides the great wizard. I think he's in your year.
You should go talk to him.
Has anyone seen Castiel? I need to talk to him.
Well, it’s what I’ve heard, at least.

Irene was suspicious of this wine. A lot of times, if you found something in the castle, that was heavily locked and guarded it was usually something worth it. Natasha seemed genuine about it. Irene did ask her, and the castle was a wondrous place. "This castle is the most beautiful place I've seen. I can still help you get to the Hufflepuff dorms if you need help, ever."
She sat on the chair in the girls dorms and looked at the other girl with an amused expression. "Drinking stars? That seems almost perfect right now." Irene leaned forward and grabbed a glass of wine. She needed stars. Irene desperately wanted to taste hope after not getting the answers she wanted. Looking at the other girl, she smelled the wine-it really smelled enchanting, and then said, "So should I start, or you?"
The Forbidden Forest
“I’d take you to the place with the wine, but the doorway is on the other side of the castle, and it took us half an hour to get the correct stairways to it, and whilst slipping past the caretakers. They really don’t want students getting their hands on that wine.” She smirked lightly, moving over to a stool at the other end of the room, pushing it aside and revealing an opening in the wallpaper in the corner.
She pulled it open and reached inside, pulling out an old bottle of wine. “However, we couldn’t help but take a few keep-sakes. You need to try this.” She said, flattening the wallpaper and replacing the stool. She moved over to Irene, grasping two glasses and uncorking the wine. “Interesting places? You’d be surprised at the things we’ve found…” She said as she poured the wine. “This should make you feel a little.. lighter. I don’t know whats in it, but it has something close to a… miracle ingredient. It’s like drinking stars.”

You might be asking the wrong person on that one.

Has anyone seen Castiel? I need to talk to him.
  That’s what friends do, right?

I don't know what to say. Why?
Tumblr media
Has anyone seen Castiel? I need to talk to him.
But I do, Irene. Tell me. I want to help you as much as I can. Or, as much as you’ll allow me to.

I hope that's true. For other people's sake.

Where is a teacher when you need one?
To me? I guess it means that we’re all the same, because we’ve all be scarred by our memories. We’re all similar, and although we have different scars and memories, we all have them. Nobody really has anything worse off than anyone else because all of the memories counted up even out to everyone else.

That's kind. Highly imaginative but unlikely. Personal favorite, "The village bicycle".
Tumblr media
"Wanted"? Is she not alive anymore?
And where'd you leave it?
Where is a teacher when you need one?
I can’t see why. Define ‘farfetched’.
Tumblr media
My mum… well, that would make sense. Guess she wanted me to be reliable. It’d make sense.
It’s very old, smells musky, and the spine is cracked in a way that it won’t close properly anymore.

"Well, then, I feel honored." Irene chuckled.
As Natasha went upstairs, Irene thought of how to approach this. It's not that she didn't trust the other Slytherin girl, it's just that she was another Slytherin. Irene didn't know what she meant by this but it just seemed like a good idea to keep her mouth closed. Then again, if Natasha connected it all, it would be very interesting to see how she reacted. To see someone else who may actually know what to say and not just analyze the situation, it could be beneficial. It could also be the start of a friendship. Irene kept her guard up still.
She smirked as the other girl recalled her story with Clint. "That seems very fun actually. You lead the way. Have you ever seen anything...interesting?" Irene was curious as she followed Natasha.
The Forbidden Forest
“I normally don’t have to bother connecting. But for you, I’ll try.” She smiled lightly, arranging whatever pieces she had of this in her mind together for a start.
She spoke the entrance word and stepped in through the portrait. She moved to the living area, holding a hand up to signal Irene to wait as she ran upstairs to the sleeping quarters and moved over to the chest by her bead. She whispered a password silently, breaking the strong locking spell she’d placed onto it, and pulled a small object (or a group of objects, it was hard to tell) that was concealed in a piece of cloth and stashed it at the bottom of the chest. She closed it shut, re-locked it, and stood, making her way downstairs quickly to avoid waking the others.
“I know a place in the castle where they stash the -really- fine wine. You’d think the bottles were enchanted they taste so good. Clint and I like to bet each other which doors we can or can’t open in the castle, and that lock was pretty strong so we targeted it. We had no idea what was beyond it until it opened.” She said, half-lost in the memory. “Right, lets get those drinks.”

And what does it mean to you?
Tumblr media
Where is a teacher when you need one?
Yes that makes sense. And yes, I agree that happy things scar us. Scars don’t necessarily have to be bad things.

"I guess I wasn't being as careful as I thought I was with my face... I do that as well. All in good time. You get extra points if you can pull a Sherlock and connect it all." She laughed. It was funny to her. Irene thought it was almost amusing. As clever as Natasha was, it almost was weird having someone else besides Loki or Arthur know much about her emotions. She didn't let people in about them. It was almost a benefit of being friends with Sherlock, how emotionally unavailable he was. He could identify the emotion and what someone was thinking, but he couldn't understand the feeling. Not yet at least. Sometime's she admired how he could just get to the point. Other times she felt it disconnected them. Irene's mind seemed to be everywhere today. She hid it this time.
"I haven't had a drink in a while." Irene stated as she they got to the common room.
The Forbidden Forest
Natasha smiled in reply. “Yes, I suppose our lives are a nice souvenir from that experience.” She looked ahead, watching the girl’s expression change as they passed the bench. Even if she wasn’t the super-intelligent, super-observant mind that some of the people around Hogwarts were, she did have certain skills picking up on people’s manners. She was naturally attracted to knowing, not by figuring out, but by conning it out of the other person. She was, at heart, just a spy, even if she only had herself to report back to.
“That bench mean something to you? … Sorry, if you don’t wish to talk about it.. I do that some times.” She sighed, once again trying to stop herself from interrogating Irene. “A drink sounds good, yeah.” She smiled in reply.

"Well, I think having our lives is pretty good, but if you had something in mind, I'm willing to go with it." Irene truthfully didn't feel like this was a celebration. As they were walking through the halls of Hogwarts, she saw the place where she fell asleep in Loki's arms, before everything seemed to change. Irene wanted to believe it was just a rough patch, but something about what happened seemed to change her and Loki both. Looking at that bench...Irene looked away.
"Actually, a drink might be nice. If you're up for it." Irene half-smiled as they got to the dungeons.
The Forbidden Forest
She nodded at Irene’s responce. She always wanted to believe in her own philosophy on hope and love, though she’d never really been in love enough to be exposed to anything like that situation. She just sort of hoped it was that way. Nothing she’d ever encountered brought much long-lasting hope or complete trust to her. She could only hope that being in love would finally bring that. Seeing Irene believe in those words brought her hope, and also brought a smile to her lips.
“How should we celebrate?” She asked, landing and leaping from her broom, tailing Irene to the common room.

Irene listened to her. Her words seemed to be meaningful. "I'd like to believe the same because it's usually true." It was. It might be one of Irene's faults, it could be her ego, but there was always hope. "It's always good to have a best friend and actually see them."
"Like you said, to the Slytherin dorm room. I'd just like to enjoy flying right now and our victory." she chuckled, ignoring the raised eyebrow. Irene closed her eyes, and just let the wind play with her hair and face.
As Irene landed and started heading towards the common room, she didn't know how she would approach this. She'd known Natasha for a long time, but didn't know how well-versed she was in matters of the heart. Plus, most Slytherin's seemed to almost be observers when it came to it.
The Forbidden Forest
“There’s always some hope. Always some small scrap of hope.” She said, though she didn’t really have any reason to believe in those words. “But yeah, I wish Clint’s timetable was more leveled with mine.”
“As to the things I collected… I’ll tell you more when you clear up why it was you went in there. So you and Loki are having a rough patch, but what reason does that give you to wander into the Forbidden Forest?” She rose an eyebrow.
“And yes, yes he will. We kicked his ass, and he’ll remember it for a while.” She laughed lightly in victory, looking down at the Castle. “To the Slytherin dorm room?”

I'm willing to keep trying if you are.

But if this is too much for you...I'll let go. I don't want to, but I will.
Loki.
I…

…I want to. I do. I do.

Irene raised her eyebrows at both the mention of Loki and sight-seeing. Still she smiled hesitantly, "You could say, I was sight-seeing as well. I fucked up with him. Trying to understand it. What did you collect?" Irene said quickly and looked over her shoulder at Natasha. "That's sad being separated. I hate that they do that although, I see why. You could always sneak over and see him, I know how to get to the Hufflepuff house from the dungeons unnoticed if you need any help."
Irene watched as Natasha looked down at the spider. "That spider is going to hate dark haired, Slytherin, females for as long as he lives."
The castle was approaching and Irene had some clarity, but still didn't get what she was looking for.
The Forbidden Forest
Natasha chased her up on her broom, smirking down at the spider that writhed in anger on the ground below. “Really? I saw Loki earlier. He talked about you, and said something quite similar.” She smiled lightly as she saw her eyes light up. “I was sight-seeing is all. And of course collecting some things while i did it, too.” she replied briefly. “Clint’s well. Still hiding in his shell, but I can’t complain. He’s come far. I haven’t seen him recently, though. Classes keep us separated a lot..”
She looked back at the shrinking form of the spider far, far away on the ground as it slinked back into the darkness of the forest. “That creature is going to hold a grudge, I bet.”
She leaned forwards, making the broom’s form streamlined as she could and shot towards the castle grounds.

It seems as though no matter what I do...it won't be enough to convince you, I love you.
Tumblr media
I push away now...or pull you in closer...do you trust me?
Loki.
What I saw in your eyes that night… that look… I’ll never unsee it and I doubt it’s the last time I’ll see it. You can’t let me do this to you and neither can I… but first…
Tumblr media
…one for the road.

Irene shot another spell at the spider and mounted her broom. "Not at all." she said as she zoomed up through the air, getting as high as she could.
"That may be debatable...to some...since our last real talk. You know Loki, correct?" His name brought a smile to her eyes. "Though I'm more interested in why you were at it's nest. I can guess, seeing who your father is, but I think there might be more. How is Clint by the way?" Irene loved the feeling of being in the air. She had a very slight smile at her lips.
The Forbidden Forest
She smirked lightly at her words. “Good to see you haven’t changed since we last had a real talk.” She glanced back at their booms, which were almost at them. “And no, it certainly wont give up. It’s been chasing me for at least ten minutes, right from the nest. Though it has it’s reasons..” she said quietly, not particularly interested in answering the question concerning how she’d angered it this bad.
“Thanks, I have a good teacher when it comes to my aim.” She smirked lightly, catching her broom in her hand. “Mind if we get caught up with one another in the air?” She mounted her boom. The spider was almost directly behind them.
