The way my first exposure to Dog Man was going to Barnes and Noble with my friend around the time Mothering Heights came out and when I saw the cover I just assumed the two characters with the little kid were parents together and I knew one of them was named Dog MAN so I figured the other must be the mother.

And that's how my first impression of Petey was that he was Dog Man's female love interest.

There were so many unique dialogue lines if you interacted with different characters as the Herald. Something about her devotion to carrying out a plan she knew would destroy her was so disturbing and tragic, at least to me. I wish we got to learn more about her character.
