The German dub of 15x18 came out so here's a breakdown of the changes made in the dub (complete German transcript under the cut):

The first bunch of changes starts with Cas saying da hab ich einen Deal gemacht, weil ich ihn retten wollte (= I made a deal then because I wanted to save him) instead of "I made a deal to save him" - they made the deal out to be Cas' decision because he wanted it, just as in the following line:

Cas: Ich – ich hab mein Leben dafür gegeben. (...) und ich gehe auf ewig mit ihr. (= I gave my life for it. (...) and I go with her forever)

instead of "the price was my life" and "it would take me forever", respectively. I think that's quite interesting since stresses more that it's his active choice to accept the price of the deal and that the time is essentially his to choose in this very scene. He gives his life up instead of it being taken from him.

When he talks about what he can't have, Cas says

(...) weil der eine Wunsch, den ich habe, mir leider nie vergönnt sein wird (= because the one wish I have will never be granted to me). instead of "because the one thing I want – it’s something I know I can’t have".

I feel like this conveys less that he can't have Dean because of outside circumstances and more that Dean wouldn't grant him his wish, but it could be read as both.

A slightly larger change is that they cut "it's in just saying it" and replaced it with "wenn du das erkennst, ist es dein" (= when you realize that, it's yours). So, according to the dub, happiness is yours when you realise that existance is what makes you happy in the first place.

Moving on, German dub Cas says:

Und jeder, der dich wirklich kennt sieht das auch, und alles, was du jemals getan hast, das Gute und das Böse, hast du bloß aus Liebe getan. (= And everyone, who truly knows you sees that too, and everything you've ever done, the good and the bad, you did only for love).

Yes, Dean did what he did only for love in the dub. And Castiel goes on to reason that love is Dean's wahres Ich (= true self).

He continues to say: Seit ich dich kenne und seit ich dich aus der Hölle befreit habe, hat sich mein Leben völlig verändert. (=Since I've known your and since I've saved you from hell, my life has changed completely). Castiel's not just talking about how knowing Dean has changed him as a person, but also about how his life was turned completly upside down by that. Also, he says that he saved him from hell instead of just saying that he pulled him out.

"Care" was translated as "sorgen", which is interesting because sich sorgen in German doesn't only mean to care but also to worry and that changes the tone slightly.

Cas then continues to say that it was only Dean who made him care:

Ich habe mich um die ganze Welt gesorgt und das nur deinetwegen. (= I cared about the whole world, and only for your sake.)

Also, deinetwegen can imply that he did it because Dean taught him to, but also that he was motivated only through Dean.

Finally, Cas says "Ich liebe dich" to Dean, which is a rather strong way to say "I love you" in German. Definitely sincere and romantic, since there's a more platonic/casual similar form used in German (ich habe dich lieb).

Dean replies with Tu das bitte nicht, Cas (= please don’t do this, Cas), which is a little more sad than a direct "Tu das nicht" without the plea would be.

In summary, this dub might not be as romantic as the French one but the main difference to me is that it makes out Cas' motivations in a different light, and that light is choices taken because of Dean.

Cas: Ich weiß.

Dean: Und dann wird sie erst mich töten und dann tötet sie dich. Es tut mir so leid.

Cas: Es gibt etwas, etwas wovor sie Angst hat. Es gibt etwas, das stark genug ist, sie aufzuhalten. Als Jack im Sterben lag, da hab ich einen Deal gemacht, weil ich ihn retten wollte.

Dean: Du hast was?

Cas: Ich – ich hab mein Leben dafür gegeben. Wenn ich einen Moment wahren Glücks erlebe, wird die Leere heraufbeschworen, und ich gehe auf ewig mit ihr.

Dean: Wieso erzählst du mir das alles?

Cas: Seitdem ich diese Bürde – diesen Fluch auf mich nahm, da hab ich mich immer gefragt, was es wohl sein wird, wie wahres Glück für mich überhaupt aussehen könnte, doch ich fand keine Antwort, weil der eine Wunsch, den ich habe – mir leider nie vergönnt sein wird. Allerdings glaube ich, dass ich jetzt verstanden habe, dass einem Glück nicht zu Teil wird, wenn man besitzt, sondern dadurch, dass man existiert. Wenn du das erkennst, ist es dein.

Dean: Wovon redest du überhaupt, Cas?

Cas: Ich weiß – ich weiß, wie du dich selbst siehst, Dean. Du hast das gleiche Bild von dir wie unsere Feinde. Du hältst dich für destruktiv, stets wütend und gebrochen, als Daddys Werkzeug fürs Grobe und du glaubst, dass Hass und Wut das ist, was dich antreibt, was dich ausmacht, aber so ist es nicht. Und jeder, der dich wirklich kennt sieht das auch, und alles, was du jemals getan hast, das Gute und das Böse, hast du bloß aus Liebe getan. Du hast deinen kleinen Bruder aus Liebe großgezogen, hast aus Liebe für die ganze Welt gekämpft, denn das ist dein wahres Ich. Du bist der fürsorglichste Mensch, den es gibt, du bist der selbstloseste und liebevollste Mensch der Welt, der mir jemals begegnen wird. Seit ich dich kenne und seit ich dich aus der Hölle befreit habe, hat sich mein Leben völlig verändert. Weil du dich gesorgt hast, habe ich mich gesorgt. Ich begann, mich zu sorgen, um dich. Ich habe mich um Sam gesorgt und um Jack. Ich habe mich um die ganze Welt gesorgt und das nur deinetwegen. Du hast mich verändert, Dean.

Dean: Wieso klingt das wie ein Abschied?

Cas: Weil das einer ist. Ich liebe dich.

Dean: Tu das bitte nicht, Cas. Cas.

Cas: Lebwohl, Dean.
