i don't consider myself a gatekeeper but also i'm not going out of my way to make a tutorial 😭 i obvs won't turn anyone down if they ask tho. but most people don't, at least not to me...

If I don’t have to make a tutorial I’m definitely not gonna either. I don’t wanna sit around all day making tuts I don’t think that’s anyone’s definition of fun honestly. I’ll make a small demonstration of what I’m talking about sometimes but I’m not gonna take the time to type out step by step what they need to do from start to finish, if they are at the point of making cc I’m gonna assume they have some knowledge and are just stuck on this one thing! While we try not to gatekeep it’s also not fair to ask someone to spend hours creating a tutorial when there are plenty out there already. It’s definitely fine if they’re stuck on something and may need help but Google is definitely your friend most of the time! The tutorial hub has a seemingly endless list of resources for people who are just getting started. I used to be the kind of person to from start to finish hold someone’s hand through stuff but that’s how you get taken advantage of I’m afraid 😅 so now if I have the time I will definitely help people with whatever they’re stuck on but I’m not gonna hold their hand from s4s to tsrw

I've been trying to create s3 cc but i just can't. I'm so desperate and everyone is just such a gatekeeper 😭 recommendations? I can't even find a clear tutorial

Well first of all I cannot provide help if I do not know what you want. Saying you want to create cc is such a vague ask, do you want to learn how to make clothes/hair from scratch? Do you want to learn how to convert from s*4? Do you want to learn how to make genetic cc? I personally don't turn people away when they come to me for help but I gotta know what you need.

And honestly in this day and age it isn't really fair to say people gatekeep certain information either, since the community is so much smaller than it used to be I think 90% of us are willing to part with the information we've learned over the years. Most of the time making cc and running a simblr is a hobby that most people only put effort into when they have the time (such as I) some people don't want to come on here and answer questions and teach strangers how to do things with their spare time when they could be doing other things and that is okay! I personally haven't checked in here in like a week or two at this point as I'm much more active over on discord but as long as someone is polite I don't mind helping them with whatever issues they run into in the creative process.

For starters this blog has an archive of really good tutorials that can get you started. If you need help with something in specific that I know how to do then I can provide further assistance.

Cian would feel fuckin AWFUL MAN YOU HAVE NO IDEA, they’d definitely be besties though Ben would be really sad about it but he would realize it isn’t Cian’s fault since neither of them knew. They’d both throw Evan to the trash (where she belongs) she’d still probably keep her job tho cause James doesn’t get involved in that shit as long as she does her job and does it well.
