Really enjoyed the last chapter. but why is Igor asking her to bring her own money? If he can't affordit why cant he just let toros pay? Even if Ani doesn't want to spend the money NOW she might want to later. it just seems a bit strange to me.

It's actually a super easy answer and I'm going to address it in the next chapter :) I will refer you back to the last chapter when they were discussing "not owing people"... There's a good reason for it.

This is some of Igor's backstory (I haven't seen anyone else explore this at all, so I wanted to tackle it early on)

IT IS EXTREMELY DARK AND GRAPHIC!!!

The rest of this fic will definitely explore these themes but never this graphically or sort of all-encompassing, at least that is the plan. But as we know art imitates real life and these horrific things happen. The real question we should all be wondering is how does someone end up as a henchman essentially? Where did things go wrong?
