She was starting to get used to the edible now. The floaty effects were still there, but it was just a little easier to process things.

"Our city was absolute garbage. Like fuckin', y' live or y' die type o' shit. It only gave a shit 'bout us long as we was payin' tax dollars someway, else y' get cleaned up by th' streets. Eitha, way it had a funny way ov' showin' how much it appreciated ya." Margaret huffed.

"Anyway, Mom n' Dad was payin' a gang to watch ovah th' place since they had me t' worry about. Both were pitchin' in, come t' find out. But Dad's job let 'im go at some point. Next thing ya know, they couldn't pay.

...Much as Dad begged 'em fo' an extension, dey wasn't gonna hear it. Dad tried t' fight 'em n' got popped in his head for it. Mom was next. An' I got t' witness th' very end, cause I couldn't bear hidin' upstairs."

She paused, a somber smile creeping up on her face. "Prolly should've stayed up dere."

"Sure, tell me about it." Jacks reached for a gyosa, popping it into his mouth before he leaned his torso so that he was facing Marg while lounging on the sofa.

There was a loaded backstory coming and backstories came with emotions just as heavy. A desert to the nice chinese takeout. Also he was kind of curious about her background.

"Why would someone want your parents dead?" Reaching down, he grabbed himself another brownie.

While Margaret's "Shadow Release" is currently unknown to any other shinobi, its weaknesses are fairly straight forward.

Common chakra natures such as Fire or Lightning will nullify "Shadow Release" in the same sense that a candle or bolt of lightning can cast away darkness, even if just for a moment.

While "Shadow Release" in its more volatile form will still cause a violent reaction such as an explosion, it will otherwise be nullified for that time being. Corporeal "Shadow Release" can also be nullified such as destroying what eould be an extra "limb" of sorts.

I GOT IT FOR LEO IN THIS VERSE

Leo is a man from Kusogakure who found Margaret out in the woods by herself in tattered hospital clothes, the time she'd just escaped the Northern Hideout. He offered to help, even invited her back to his home, but because she was uncomfortable going anywhere largly populated, he decided against it. So he just comes to visit her instead.

Leo is who inspired Margaret to make her own mask because of Leo's black and gold lion mask.

Every now and again, Margaret visits the Land of Lightning specifically to see Leo.

Sage Mode Margaret has an impeccable sense of smell. So much so that she could be considered a great tracker.

But given her tendency to quickly devolve into her violent nature, she does not tap into this often.

Margaret actually has pretty good hearing. Given her lifestyle, she needs to be able to hear her surroundings at all times. While yes she has the help of animals, she does not always have access to an extra pair of ears. Thus, she had to train herself to improve her hearing for specific cues against the usual ambiance of nature.

Also she has a pretty good sense of smell-
