I truly believe that Dean and Sam's relationship is emotional incest.

in my terms it seems that Dean uses Sam as a romantic partner.

some signs include

relying on the other for support. ex:Dean doesnt talk to anyone, he souly relies on Sam for anything and everything.

putting their needs before the others. ex: Dean putting his own needs over Sam's countless times. one big one i can think of is never letting Sam die, forcing Sam to live. Forcing Sam to come along with him anywhere he goes because without Sam he feels useless.

Invading the others privacy. ex: Dean constantly wanting to know who Sam is talking to, where Sam goes, what Sam does. ect.

using the other as a love-like partner. ex: Dean constantly overcharging about his sex life. his sexual partners. He takes Sam on "dates." he makes Sam share about his sex life and what he does too.

feeling jealous of the others relationships. ex: Dean constantly controlling who Sam sees, when Sam is allowed to have sex. Getting jealous of anyone close to Sam, isolating Sam. He makes sure that Sam is his and his alone.

So all these things have canonically occurred. It's night right, its not fair to either of them. Dean abuses Sam and Sam "allows" it. I shouldnt say allow, because really his whole life was manipulated and controlled by anyone who ever loved him. He didnt know any other form of love.

everyone is entitled to their opinions in fandom, but basing samdean top/bottom dynamic off their sex scenes with women is just plain funny because it’s not even about the samdean dynamic, it’s a sam/others and dean/others dynamics. it’s obvious their sex with each other would be completely different because of the nature of their fucked up power imbalanced relationship (the brotherfather/brotherson roles), and you also have to keep in mind that dean is canonically straight and is also lowkey homophobic, and no, sam wouldn’t be an exception when it comes to sex. i get the appeal of “samsexual dean”, but it doesn’t really work like that lol. dean wouldn’t suddenly turn into his fanon subby bottom version just because it’s sam. in fact, dean’s canonically shown craving submission from sam and going unhinged when sam doesn’t perceive him as the big brother in charge, and it often leads to dean turning to violence in order to punish sam and put him in his place
