Tips for when you haven't regressed in awhile

Be gentle with yourself, it happens to everyone

Try to do one of your favorite regression activities

Ask a fellow regressor if you could have a playdate together (virtual or in-person following CDC guidelines)

Ask a friend if they would baby you

Listen to music that helps you regress (I like the 'Disney Hits' playlist on Spotify)

Write a letter to your regressed self, sharing that you miss them

Allow yourself to take a break, sometimes we just need a break

Start a regression notebook & write about your regression interests

how to help your nd age regressor

(nd = neurodivergent)

🌈 understand they may go mute, this is not something you did it just happens sometimes

🌈 know their stims and why each happens so you can know how they are feeling from just that

🌈 carry some fidget toys so they can use them when they are over/under stimulated

🌈 know the signs of meltdowns so you can get them somewhere they feel safe

🌈 ask them what you can do to help when they are having a meltdown or are overwhelmed

🌈 ask them if they are comfortable being touched, some prefer heavy/light touch some do not like it at all

🌈 get to know what textures they are okay with and which they hate

🌈 if they like routine help them make one if they struggle to stick to it

🌈 ask them about there special interest, they love to talk and teach you about what they are interested in
