I (16M) was disowned by my father when I was 13 for speaking up out of turn. He gave me what I now realize was an impossible task in order to receive his forgiveness. Recently, my sister (14) showed up at my uncle (50s) home to claim that my father had recently had a change of heart.

My uncle does not believe this. We had a fight about it last night, with him pointing out that my father hurt me, both with words, actions, and what I believe was an accident with an iron that he threw at me. My sister also has a tendency to lie and manipulate, specifically enjoying pushing me into situations.

So, should I try and return?
