Someone should really tell the vegan/dairy free goyim about the existence of kosher deserts. We are really gatekeeping the best dairy free ice cream.

Please don't get your Jewish conversion advice from Tumblr. Having converted gives someone expertise on their own conversion. I complain about the bureaucratic aspects but try to refrain from giving advice largely because
I don't like randoms on Tumblr being self-appointed experts on anything. It's tempting to think that expertise and leadership is super duper accessible but there's a reason rabbis have so little free time
Every community is different, every denomination is different in each country. An American Reform convert's experience will be different from someone's in the UK, and converting in Los Angeles is different from converting in NYC.
There is a real hardliner ("disown literally everyone, burn your grandma's christmas tree") approach that many Jumblr converts in particular have that is not accurate for most people's conversion, including the orthodox.
In general it flattens Judaism to a monolith which is not accurate
The fact that people are primarily asking and answering "when can I wear a magen david" or "is it appropriation to eat kosher cheese" or "am I allowed to have opinions about literally anything" should itself be a red flag.
It's one thing to get book recommendations, recipes, advice for telling family, stuff like that on here. But Tumblr people are not rabbis. Even though I'm not frum myself, I appreciate the more appropriate hands-off approach that frumblr takes to conversion questions.
TL;DR AYLLR (ask your local liberal rabbi)

I mean the minimum is only like 10 tefachim you’re lucky we don’t all do that
I’m going to need the standard height for a mechitzah to be at least 8inches taller because I’m already peeking over and I want to wear heels at events like everyone else! Please!

There is generally one major prohibition when it comes to music (which I’ll get to later), but outside of that, not really. There are strong taboos against music with stuff like graphic sexuality, excessive swearing, violence, stuff like that, as well as cultural aversion to stuff like heavy metal and rap, but those aren’t real Prohibitions on the sane way the Prohibition is. The Prohibition in question being kol isha — a man hearing a woman sing is an actual legit prohibition according to many. There are exceptions and nuances of course (and honestly it’s not the most stringently followed rule) and some rabbis reinterpret it entirely away from music, but that’s the big issur when it comes to music
(Please, FOR Orthodox)
Is there music that is prohibited in Judaism? I don't mean the songs that are used during Christian or other religious services, obviously, I mean classical music, heavy metal, hard rock, etc, especially written by non-Jews. And does it mean that a convert should stop listening to the banned music before fully converting? And if only the songs' lyrics are the problem, what if the listener doesn't hear/understand the lyrics (the song is in another language or it's sung too fast, for instance)? Is it still a sin? Thank you in advance.
A good question for your conversion rabbi, but I guess this can also be a general question.
