💔 I Need Your Help — Commissions Open 💔

This isn’t the kind of post I ever wanted to make, but transparency is apparently good for more than just PNGs. Making money in animation lately has been a special kind of hell. I’ve been freelancing and teaching part time while doing my masters, but I’ve hit some bumps. In the words of a wise philosopher: the ice we skate is gettin’ pretty thin, the water’s gettin’ warm so you might as well swim, my world’s on fire—how ‘bout yours?

The past few months have been rough—big freelance jobs ghosted on pay, illustration royalties are delayed because the lovely author is in hospital, and the only “commission” requests I’ve had lately are from spambots and ghosts (both notoriously bad tippers).

To top it off, in April alone we’ve had plumbers, electricians, and a drain crew in after a broken water heater and kitchen flooding. I’d sell an organ, but no one wants ones with faulty collagen. So rude! #edslife
