I’m leaving tumblr. I had left a few years ago for my mental health and I thought it had been long enough since then to make a new one. But, evidently, it hasn’t, and I cannot, in my own self-interest, continue to keep this account when I know that tumblr itself is detrimental to my happiness. I’m not going to delete the account, so my posts will remain, but the account will be inactive from now on. I may be on occasionally if I need to find something related to this account, but for the most part, it will be untouched. Thank you to everyone who followed me/reblogged from me, and thank you to all my mutuals for hanging out. Maybe I’ll come back some day, but I don’t think I will. Goodbye!

“John Belushi means a lot to me for a few reasons, but there's two main ones: He was an actor and comedian that my dad really really liked, and Blues Brothers was one of his favorite movies of all time. I never got to know my dad, so when I watch Blues Brothers, I feel connected to him in a way that I don't with anything else. Movies everyone should see - #15 - The Blues Brothers

Why you should see it: It has music. It has humor. It has the best cameos in the world. And so that the next time you’re on a road trip, you can put on your shades and say the classic line “It’s 106 miles to Chicago…”

You’ll like it if you like: Ghostbusters, Animal House, classic SNL, rock n’ roll, and Princess Leia, Twiggy. Also, if you hate Illinois Nazis.

Facts from God: James Brown and Aretha Franklin had problems lip syncing their songs since they never want sing a song the same way twice. In the end, James performed his song live and Aretha’s performance had to be pieced together from her many takes to find all the parts where her lip syncing actually matched up. Carrie Fisher and Dan Akroyd were engaged during shooting after Dan saved her from choking on a brussel sprout on set. John Belushi was nicknamed The Black Hole on set for losing hundreds of sunglasses in the course of filming.
