After a long week of emails, phone calls, and digital noise a Friday night hike was the perfect way to unwind. I find I go a little stir crazy if I don't get outside after two days ... ok after about an hour. .. #marylandheights #harpersferry (at Maryland Heights Trail)

April showers and all that. Snapped this picture from this past week. Glad this weekend has been sunny and beautiful! I spent the weekend planting a deck garden with flowers, herbs, and vegetables ... and, I have no idea what I'm doing. What did you get into this weekend?

Snoopy striking a pose on the way back from our hike up #marylandheights @harpersferrynps. Maryland Heights is one of my favorite hikes in the park. It's a great workout and the view is always a beautiful reward for the strenuous climb.

When you look over at your dog, and they give you sad eyes because it's been one day since your last walk. And, you know you won't be able to take them on one today. #dogmomguilt #dogmomprobs #dogsofinsta #dogsofinstgram

Hi! Thanks for watching! If you'd like to try this hike out for yourself, details are below!
The Cunningham Falls / Hog Rock Vista / Blue Ridge Summit Loop at Catoctin Mountain Park is a five-mile loop that includes a side trip to Cunningham Falls located on the State Park side of MD. 77. It starts out at the park visitor center. See below for driving directions. We’ve also include two links for detailed maps and trail descriptions courtesy of the National Park Service. The first link is for the shorter five-mile loop. The second is for the full eight-mile loop including Wolf and Chimeny Rock. Happy hiking!
