This scene that happens when you turn on Carol's weird little Christmas contraption before she goes to see you is very interesting because of how it further expands upon her ABSOLUTELY TWISTED relationship with Kris.

We know for a fact that Kris has attempted this kind of mischief with her things time and time again, and of course, you probably would be expecting her to be quite indignant that they did so yet again.

AND YET SHE STILL MANAGES TO CONTROL HER ANGER. Even after unleashing her cold fury upon her daughter for the guitar incident and giving some frustration towards Asgore over the snack tray, she demonstrates an unsettling level of self-control in holding back whatever frustration she has with Kris. Her statement to them to turn off the device feels more like a humble request rather than a harsh demand from a cruel and controlling parent.

IT'S ALMOST AS IF KRIS HAS BECOME THE GOLDEN CHILD IN HER CRUEL FAMILY DYNAMIC, WHILE POOR NOELLE HAS BECOME THE SCAPEGOAT.

Man, is she an unsettling villain or what?

hate when people think the only archetype possible for a male sidekick to a female protagonist is a soft boi and/or himbo. like the implication there is that the only reason a man would ever defer to a woman’s authority is if he was a bumbling idiot. love male supporting characters who are smart and strong and confident and can step up when necessary but still kind and humble enough to let someone else take the lead most of the time

the "chat is a pronoun" discourse is captivating to me because it goes so far beyond ordinary misinformation

like imagine if suddenly there was a wave of posts saying that Dogs Are Birds, like "omg you guys i just realized dogs are actually birds!!!" and any time anybody said "theyre mammals, not birds" dozens of people would get super defensive about it and make snide condescending posts/comments like "KNOWLEDGE is knowing that dogs arent birds, WISDOM is knowing that taxonomy is fake and all organisms are whatever you want them to be forever, peace and love on planet earth," and they would keep posting about how Dogs Are Totally Birds because "well dogs are majestic and have beautiful voices, like birds" and if you pointed out that those qualities are immeasurable (& have nothing to do with being a bird) and that metric could categorize most animals (& several things that arent animals) as 'birds' they would call you a gatekeeping elitist and say "let people enjoy things" or some thesaurused equivalent, and maybe someone would also say "we're just having a Laff, it's just a fun game dont be so Serious" but they (and a non-insignificant number of other people) otherwise speak as if they believe with conviction that Dogs Really Are Birds, and this is Really Big & Exciting News because Dogs Are The First 4-Legged Bird, and then when people who know biology made posts explaining in-depth what taxonomy is & why dogs arent birds theyd start getting asks like "what about cats, are cats birds??" "are hamsters birds?" "what about sharks??" "i think flies are birds because they have wings." and then imagine this all persisted for more than half a year

One thing that AI had truly robbed us of is the indescribable feeling of encountering batshit insane artwork and wondering what kind of human made this. Took the time, drew and painted, such insanity. What was their thought process???
