Emergency commissions (sort of)

So, since a while ago, my pc started having some problems on start up and a few days ago it finally stopped working near entirely. Tech guy who checked it said it was a motherboard issue that simply happened because it's just too old (15+ so years).

So this forces me to try opening commissions earlier instead of waiting until next month as it was usual.

(Thankfully I got a laptop to do these, albeit borrowed.)

Mystic Flour essentially warps Dark Cacao's morality and judgement, essentially reducing him to like he was back in "Snow on the Black Wall", she's like "ooohhh the only way to keep your kingdom safe is to isolate it from the rest of the world ooooohhh-", also if Dark Cacao and Dark Choco reunite, Mystic Flour would use his past with his son against him like "you want to keep him safe, right? you don't want to fail him again like you did before... do you..?" and bing bong ding dong Dark Choco gets locked up for his own "safety" and it's like "father please let me out" "no son it's not safe" ":(" *insert bwomp sound effect*

so i have a mildly popular “reblog and put in in the tags” post going around and its. very clear how many people don’t know how to interact with a tumblr post

so, first of all, tumblr’s culture has changed a lot in the past couple years. there’s a genuine community effort to not start any drama, and ironically a lot of the current hostility is an effort to keep things calm. there’s also a change in how people interact with posts, so if you haven’t been here in a while please skip down to the tags/replies/reblog with text section.

for newcomers: you should be reblogging posts about as liberally as you would like something on twitter. if you only like stuff, people will think you are rude/a bot. you’ve probably heard people talk about “cultivating your dash,” and thats because this platform is 100% centered around your dashboard. trending matters less, unfollowing and blocking in order to shape your dash into it’s best form is widely accepted, the majority of the content you’ll find and interact with will be because of your dash, and the only way to put things on your dash is to reblog them. tumblr users are deeply distrustful of algorithms and have largely turned off the “see posts your friends have liked” function (i recommend you also turn of the various algorithms in settings → general settings → dashboard preferences).

so, once you’ve reblogged a post, there’s three ways to add content to it. the tags, replies, and reblogging with text. all of them have different connotations

the tags: an inside voice. originally they were meant for organizing your blog (and they’re still used for this), but they’ve also morphed into a way to share thoughts that aren’t funny/insightful enough for non-followers to be interested in. when in doubt, put your comment in the tags

replies: basically talking to your friends in class. your followers have no way of finding your replies (they don’t pop up on the dash, nobody gets notified except for the original poster) so chances are, only the person who made the post is gonna see your comment. it’s for quick one-offs that you’re okay with other people overhearing, but really is only made for one person. they’re like a public dm

reblog with text: an outside voice. you’re getting up on a stage in town square and entertaining people. make sure it’s funny or insightful— bottom line, add something new to the conversation. you should use this the least

general rules of thumb: 

when in doubt, reblog. people will judge you if your blog is only personal posts and you only interact with other content by liking it.  

the only things people will judge you for reblogging are personal vent posts. leave a like to give a little virtual hug

if a post is asking about your personality/opinions (i.e: tell me what’s the last tv show you watched, that kind of thing) put it in the tags 

also if you see a nice edit, gifset, or art, reblog and say something nice in the tags! it’s that nice sweet spot of common enough that no one will notice but uncommon enough to make the artist’s day

Moonflower Cookie's First Anniversary

Hello! I am NovelSora, or Snow and I am here to celebrate Moonflower Cookie's first anniversary (April 27th). To celebrate this occasion, I have completely overhauled her current set of sprites with more on the way. I did plan on this being a little more extensive, but I am SWAMPED with finals at the moment.

Without further ado, here are the new sprites.

Possessed PV AU time

not completely done. This is the idea: During the course of the Beast Yeast arc, Shadow Milk revealed that he was holding Pure Vanillas daughter (Moonflower Cookie) hostage, the two settle on playing rounds of chess to decide on deals and how to settle things between each other.

As of currently, Shadow Milk has the right to possess Pure Vanilla during certain parts of the day (mainly dinner and night time), while Pure Vanilla has the right to resist these attempts. Pure Vanilla got his daughter back (partially), she's pretty much been placed into an eternal sleep like state, something that PV is trying to reverse. Another odd thing that Shadow Milk managed to win in these chess matches is the right to invite anything inside the castle, this is something that PV didn't think anything of until he got home...And when the corrupted ghosts and spirits began showing up. (Wanted to clarify that this deal included that PV or Moonflower CANNOT move out of the castle)

Not only does he haft to contend with Shadow Milk Cookie, but also increasingly dangerous ghosts and spirits settling into the castle (needing to protect himself and Moonflower from these things).

Now, he must pick up a lost art within healing to deal with these spirits. He only knows basic charms and temporary spells to expel or ward off the ghosts and spirits as all of the knowledge was passed down orally (word of mouth) and it seems like anyone within this field are long dead due to the dark flour war.

Pv sometimes fidgets, either by gently pressing on his staff's petals or pacing back and forth whenever he's thinking out stuff. When SM rolls over he does it more frequently, as it helps him relax a little.

His staff doesn't really mind him, and usually lets him do his thing. It sways a vine in front of him if it's bothered, but that's not very often.

I can't be bothered putting them in a tier list, so here we go. 100% not Hollyberry (she is friend, not partner for me), same with Linzer. So its between Mozzarella, Financier and Golden Cheese. While I like Mozzarella as a character, but I think I'd be kind of annoyed in real life a little if she was real. I'll be honest, I'm a Financier type so, they're most likely to win my heart <3 (carry me please)

Angst time!

This is for @janayuga ‘s modern au. This is just a ficlet with no images but that is coming up.

Pure Vanilla sat down the pile of mail on the countertop, he slowly went through them one by one. Mostly advertisements, this month’s bills and today’s newspaper. His hand levitated over the newspaper, hesitant to pick it up. Police officers and other people in cave exploration gear carrying a stretcher with someone wrapped in blankets in the national park. He turned his head, placing his shaking hand down on the newspaper.

“Cao Cao? I think you want to see this.” He called out, feeling a bead of sweat running down his forehead. It was silent for a moment before Dark Cacao appeared in the doorway with a raised brow. Pure Vanilla sighed, picking up the newspaper and showing it.

“They found her?” He questioned with arms crossed, he nodded and flipped the newspaper open.

‘After a daunting search through the unmarked and unexplored cave, the victim has been found. The body was finally retrieved this morning and brought out of the cave for autopsy. One of the volunteers commented briefly to the reporter on scene that “It’s truly horrific, but I hope her father finds some peace now that she’s at least home.”, as of currently her father has continued declining comments.’

Pure Vanilla looked upwards and towards Dark Cacao who had vanished, he raised an eyebrow and looked towards his side. He was leaning forward slightly, reading the newspaper in his hands.

‘The police are still on the hunt for the suspect, they’re looking for a male standing roughly at 5’9 with caving experience whom was wearing a tight, black long shirt, a pair of ripped jeans, beige hiking boots and dark brown hair.’

He handed the newspaper over to Dark Cacao and placed his hands on his hips in thought, Dark Cacao rolled up the newspaper and placed a hand on Pure Vanillas shoulder.

“We should visit Datura-flower once he is home.” Pure Vanilla crossed his arms as he spoke, he took a moment to reply but nodded.

“There’s more on your mind.” Dark Cacao brought up, pulling Pure Vanilla into a gentle hug. An audible sigh emanated from Pure Vanilla.

“It’s just, why would someone do that..? And then being dumped into a cave…There’s no humanity in that.” Pure Vanilla mumbled, letting go of Dark Cacao. He began rummaging through the cabinets, Dark Cacao watched on for a moment before shrugging.

“Some people simply don’t have an ounce of humanity.”

The doorbell rang. Pure Vanilla stepped away from the open window and hurried to the door. He opened the front door with a smile.

“Hello!” He chirped, but didn’t recognise the man in front of him. A lankier man in business casual with traces of rainbow glitter on his shoes.

“Hey. I’m the new neighbour next door..I just wanted to introduce myself.” His hand was jittery and his smile awkward but well meaning. Pure Vanilla perked up.

“Oh? I’m Pure Vanilla. I’m so glad to meet you.” He reached his hand out. The man took his hand and shook it gently.

“I’m Datura-flower, and you might’ve already seen my daughter run around?” He let go of the handshake, he paused for a moment in thought.

“The little blonde one in a pink tutu that kicks a ball around?” Pure Vanilla questioned, leaning on the door frame. Datura-flower nodded enthusiastically. He smiled and clapped his hands once.

“Yeah, Moonflower. I hope she isn’t being too noisy..” Datura-flower cracked his knuckles, Pure Vanilla blinked and chuckled.

“Not at all! On the contrary, it’s nice hearing a child laugh. While I have enjoyed my peace and quiet now that my youngest is in their final years of high school, I do kind of miss the house being a little noisy.” He rambled slightly, Datura-flower nodding along.

“She’s currently in the backyard so I need to run back, I hope you have a nice day.” He whipped around, still carrying a slightly flustered smile and hurrying off.

Yes I was sneaky and made a small additional segment of when the two moved in next door to Dark Cacao and Pure Vanilla. Definitely a noisy child who might’ve developed a habit of scaling the fences later on, and yes, Datura-flower is a single dad and loves his lil child. Always will.

This is low-key spoiler territory but, Moonflowers case eventually goes cold too :(
