‘ ah, the cats...? ’ he pointed at the majority of cats that have been resting with him on the park bench. whenever he would be on his own, the cats would be with him. if it wasn’t the can of tuna that made the cats follow his own, then he wouldn’t understand. he loved cats so much, though, so he didn’t mind. 

‘ they’re friendly... but– ’ pointing at a british short hair, that had been nuzzling his side, he then looked at the stranger, ‘ this one is quite affectionate. feel free to touch them. i doubt that they would avoid someone like you. cats know when there’s danger around– otherwise they would have ran away. ’

MISS MAMI.

                                ‘ bothering ? oh, never ! you’re always welcome here.    ’

                       the hand - crafted tea cup is brought to soft lips, eyelashes caressing  the gentle curve of rose cheek. a light steam wavers from the lavender tea & entangles in the smooth, flaxen curls that are tied into two dainty pigtails with vibrant ribbons. however, before she could sample the drink his offer of adventure piques the young girl’s interest, lidded eyes raised to meet his in profound interest.

                          ‘    what kind of adventure are you suggesting ?   ’

                the cup now rests on the matching saucer, both shining with gold trims & detailed blue & lavender florets. now without something to hold her hands found a home in the thick folds of her skirt as she shifted her seat, allowing a slim back to straighten & now actually completely face her companion. 

AN ADVENTURE HE SAID; he was not really aware about the consequences of taking someone ( acquaintance or not ) with him, but be would do it for the sake of fun and enjoyment– for both parties obviously. and he had thought about something. something that would be interesting and funny. and what could it be?

‘ i told you about my adventures, right? a time- and space traveler who has visited a lot of places and timelines. however, what i miss is someone around me and sharing the fun. i was suggesting a nice trip to 1888′s london. the victorian epoch to be precise. i have visited it once and it was only for a friend to get postal stamps. but i have heard and seen so much it makes me go there again. ’

   finishing his brief explanation of his plan, his thin lips were uncovering a little smile. he knew about the risks that could happen in that timeline; but knowing he would protect his companion ( a knight would forever protect his lady ) he was sure that nothing bad would going to happen. he was an optimist, lacking on realism; a huge flaw that had brought him into lots of mistakes. 

‘ did i convince you, miss mami? or is it too hard for you to take the risk? ’

‘have you found it, rookie?’

calling a U.A. student a ROOKIE was pretty much unsual. but here he was, trying to SHOW THE KIDS how to do hero jobs. first of all, it was, obviously, a little nerve draining. second of all, he’d rather go and give them BETTER JOBS than looking for MISSING PETS. but was CASUAL HERO WORK, and he was more or less PAID FOR IT as well. how tiring. 

FACING the girl, he could hear a meowing. this was either pretty good or it was just ending in a FALSE once again. THIRD TIME in a row. 

‘WHITE with a BLACK SPOT on it’s back. that was the description.’

HIS SUDDEN DISAPPEARANCES wouldn’t be left unnoticed–––– he was well aware of that– but now he would definitely change his mind and his heart for the following decision. mami tomoe has become a friend, a kind heart and gentle nature. they haven’t met often, but if he felt like he’d need an adventure, then there it was. it was just only the agreement of his potential companion that was missing. 

would she go for such an adventure? he knew about the consequences, and maybe, his next travel would probably convince her– maybe if he had to make sure of it. 

‘miss mami– i hope i’m not bothering you right now’, he said, taking off his head before amethyst was fixed at the girl again. ‘how about i’ll take you to an adventure? here and now? i’ll show you something you wouldn’t ever forget.’

THE TRUTH ABOUT DREW’S PAST. (PART ONE)

his ‘true’ past would be heavily hinted at the first volume and actually be revealed in the third volume. it’s a huge gap until then but considering future events and interactions with drew, it is still important to write this down and keep it on this blog.

what do we know about drew? regarding his background in the bio, he was adopted by two people when he was abandoned as a baby. by a prostitute you think? yes and no. it was actually a concubine of the summer king. yes, that’s right: drew is NOT a winterborn. his TRUE descent is from the summer kingdom. but the woman sneaked out of the summer kingdom, heading to the winter kingdom to protect her child. drew was the firstborn and the only child of the summer king, while his other concubines either suffered a miscarriage or were not able to get pregnant at all.

now you ask yourself why that’s important. drew is IMPORTANT to the summer king. obviously he would know if one of his concubines would bear a child, and if the first child of the summer king would be born, he would bear a curse that is going through the royal generation. curse or disease– drew would not really think he had that curse or feel it, because it is not truly visible or affective when you visit places other than the summer kingdom. 

so, why did the summer kingdom actually attack the winter kingdom? because the summer kingdom KNOWS ABOUT DREW’S WHEREABOUTS. the summer king may be insane, but that’s because of the curse. if you know everything about summer, summer is leaned to fire, and fire is the main element of the winter kingdom. that leads us to the fact that fire has aggressive traits on it. the curse that the royal family of the summer generation is bearing is leaning towards an aggressive, insane and yet unhealthy attitude, bearer of this curse cannot lean it down and it will be heritable if you are from the royal descent. 

okay but why is drew actually the winter fragment? if you know about anouk, the summer fragment, then you may know that anouk’s descent is not even the summer kingdom, but the winter kingdom. it is pretty ironic but your descent has nothing to do with becoming a season fragment. it is more your devotion to the kingdom you are living on. as for maude’s case, who ran away, she still has a devotion to the autumn country, and as for kisaragi, who didn’t run away ever and spent his life in the spring empire, his devotion to the spring empire and thus becoming the spring fragment is pretty much obvious.

actually, anouk x drew was considered the main ship of the novel, but anouk is in fact a lesbian and hates men with a burning passion. both were noted as yin and yang by the ovarine, a matriarchal clan of the autumn kingdom. 

drew is able to use winter magic because he practiced it at school, it is not in his blood. and for some reason he can’t use his fire magic because the winter magic actually overlaps it and thus makes the curse actually ‘frozen’. if his winters would be taken away, he would be able to release the curse and actually use his inherited fire powers. 

it is hinted that the medoranists know about drew’s true descent but kept it as a taboo– speak: his parents. drew has a mark on his skin that displays the curse, and the medorianists know the reason behind this. however, they didn’t tell anyone about this.

what consequences would be risked by this curse?

the curse would turn drew into a different person. maybe not so cruel as his ‘true father’, but probably very antisocial and aggressive– something drew is not in the slightest (he’s actually kindhearted and gentle). he would use his fire magic and maybe even abuse his time/space travel abilities.
