List 103: Top Ten Butts in Anime

A wise man once said:

“See, if you're enlightened like I am, then you know the real show is down below: the booty, baby! That's where it's at! Nothing trumps the rump, my friend. Anyone who can't see that is either blind or a fool. That's why I say enough with this mass boob hysteria. It's time to set things right. It's time to give the ass the respect it deserves!”

10. Viktor- Yuri on Ice

Ice skating does a number on the physique and with Viktor is shows the work has been put in. I wonder what else will get put in Viktor. Perhaps Yuri knows?

9. Rin- Fate/Stay Night

I think it was fate than Rin was blessed with such a glorious derriere. All that hard work put into the fight for the Holy Grail was for not for naught. I think Archer may have a real shot at this one. 

8. Sinon- SAO II 

I think we all know what Sinon’s best asset is. Her sniping skills and kills. Yet, that butt is really something else. Good gracious online booty can be something else. 

7. Yoko Littner- Gurren Lagann

Yoko littner is a girl of many skills. Another sniper sits firmly on the list just waiting for the right moment. The right time to pierce the heavens can only be chosen by the master of the drill. 

6. Kagami- Kuroko no Basuke

We all know Kagami is a wonderful ball handler, but there is so much more to this muscle bound hunk. All of us and Seiren alike know he is fierce as they come when he uses his meteor jam. 

5. Honey- Space Dandy

A dandy guy in space one told me of the power of the booty. And this one is as sweet as honey. You may go for the boobies but you come for the booty. 

4. Nozomi- Keijo!!!!!!!!!

The thrilling sport of Keijo is one that requires a lot of time spent into it. Things get wet and crazy, and this doesn’t exclude the ass. Just make sure you stretch beforehand so you don’t cramp out. 

3. Sonico- SoniAni

The number one anime hottie is at it again. I swear she is my idol in some ways. Oh right a pun....I don’t have one for her. So enjoy the gif you filthy minded readers. 

2. Sonic- One Punch Man

Few things make me come.... to see your show as fast as great action. The lighting speeds Sonic travels at have created a butt that is quicker than much else. 

1. Butt Tree- Ore Monogatari

Nothing makes me as hard........pressed to choose a top pick for a list then a good cream of the crop. However nothing is as firm, consistently shaped, and memorable as the butt tree. My last name is Oaks and I endorse this booty.

List 102: Top Ten Favorite Kuroko No Basuke Characters

Tumblr seems to be the better place to make lists about things that are quicker and not as writing intensive for me. I think it will be my breeding ground for small lists about specific topics now. Hope you enjoy and if you have a list you want me to do about a certain topic or series tell me somewhere on the interwebs! 

Today we cover my favorites of Kuroko no Basuke! 

10. Shoichi Imayoshi

I love characters who pay attention to details. It will be a common thread of the people on here. Imayoshi is a man who is a viper. He coils around his opponents and is always trying to talk his way into their minds. It’s all part of his gameplan. Makes him sound like a douche but off the court he is actually a decent guy, he just loves to be a clever bastard. And the moment you can tell someone who acts so strongly all the time cries even when he loses shows he does it all because he loves the game. 

9. Rinnosuke Mitobe

A silent but sweet man who is always in the background. He is the man of the house a lot of the time and does a lot of the work. That is who Mitobe is. All work and no play and misunderstood because he doesn’t talk. I love silent characters who are given depth by those around him like Koga and his family. They show how much character he really does have despite not needing words to display who he is at heart. 

8. Riko Aida

One of the most involved coaches I’ve seen in a sports series. She is a fellow classmate to all her team, and treats them all like friends. She is always using her intelligence to make the best plan to strengthen her team, self, and all those around her. Observational skills to the max are at her core with how she makes the team a real powerhouse. Also she is so dedicated to caring on and off that court I can’t help but be enamored. 

7. Junpei Hyuga

The team captain should always pull his weight and spread the encouraging vibes no matter the situation. Usually when Hyuga is going well the whole team is. Sometimes he even falters but with the coach at his side he can always find his place again. It’s this dual layer of support that him and Riko give the team and each other that makes Seirin click the way they do. Also Hyuga is a sharp tongued guy and it cracks me up how he isn’t good at speeches but gets his point across regardless. 

6. Yukio Kasamatsu

Here is a captain I truly admire. His team is often in a tough situation without the star power. Most of them are just hardworkers outside of Kise. His work ethic and determination are boundless though. I love Kasamatsu for being the very image of what a captain is. No matter the odds or circumstances he stays steadfast and ready to take it on with his team he believes in. He may come off a bit serious but it is all part of what makes him who he is, a leader. 

5. Kazunari Tako

Smartass characters are always some of the easiest to enjoy. They lightly tease those around them to keep the mood from getting too serious, while simultaneously working hard to keep the morale high. Kazunari is just a fun person. He loves basketball, and is a polar opposite to his teammate Midorima. Yet, they work in coalition so well because Kazunari is smart at knowing how to treat his fellow players with respect. What he seems to lack in serious drive he is using to his advantage to make the best play possible. 

4. Ryota Kise

Kise is easily one of the members of the show that goes through the most growth. His desire to improve in all areas of the game because he isn’t the best at anything but copying is admirable. He even goes so far as pushing his body far past it’s limits for his team. He wants to win for them so badly because he knows how hard they all work to achieve that goal. He is also just a really friendly guy with the best nicknames by far. You can see his shift in attitude and growth as the series goes on very clearly and it makes him go from cocky model to valued ace. 

3. Teppei Kiyoshi

I had to use the same gif haha. Teppei is one of my favorites for a lot of reasons. Characters who are the heart of a team though, are easy to love. Teppei puts his all into making basketball fun and satisfying for everyone who plays it. This even includes his opponents. Despite him wanting to take it seriously he also values the fun factor of the game above all else. He is like the big brother character on the team and it really shows. The only person who strives to show how fun basketball can be even more is.....

2. Tetsuya Kuroko

The phantom man Kuroko! The whole series is because of this little guy. The one who is working harder than anyone else in the shadows. No one takes much notice of Kuroko and how much he puts in, but those who do are very clearly impressed. Kuroko had a hard time with his group of teammates in the past. They all grew to a skill level to where winning was all they valued anymore. The love of the game was gone. And for most sports fanatics the love of the game is the greatest reason to play. Kuroko’s journey was all about showing his teammates why someone who had to work so hard to even be on the same court could be just as valuable or even the most valuable player(MVP!) on the entire team. This is what Kuroko brings. Where he lacks in physical prowess he makes up for with strategy and amazing observational skills. Sports series need a character who pulls it along, but when the person is doing it with a very personal and meaningful reason outside of being the best, it really is something worth being impressed by. Kuroko is the character who beats modern sports character conventions because he plays for his friends and the love of the game before all else. 

1. Aomine Daiki 

Yet, Aomine is still my favorite of the whole bunch. He is the player who is the most talented ball player by far. And it brings him to a level where he can single handedly best other teams. He is a monster on the court and because the challenge was taken out of basketball for him he slowly changed from someone who loved basketball more than anyone, to a cynical player who found it to be almost tiresome. This is why I love Aomine, his arc comes full circle. I love players who are more passionate about the game then anything and that is what he was. Until he lost it. And with Kagami/Kuroko’s help he is finally brought to play at his very best for the first time in a very long time. He had fun again. He felt what he was longing for. He finally got to feel the challenge and in turn Aomine returns to form and is able to slowly find his love again, his absolute love for basketball. He then becomes basically the best supporting character off of Seiren as a commentator who understands the game and brings worthwhile monologuing with it. Aomine is my favorite of Kuroko’s cast because he is the brightest light in the game but something made him lose his shine. It took a shadow to bring his shimmer back, and when he finally shone again it was a sight to behold.

It’s true that not all anime are great, but there are ones that are so exceptional, they stay with you for a long time. With how holiday centric our community tends to be this list is a brilliant way to get every one in the mood with one of their favorite hobbies. Spreading the cheer is always a joyous thing, no? 

8. Top Ten Deaths in Anime

Early on in the creation of this list madness Doaks lost a loved one. And to cope with it he made a few personal lists. This is one that related back to that time and for that we appreciate the inside look to his hurting heart. 

7. Top 25 Favorite Anime

A cliche beginning yes, but not without a decent amount of effort put into it. This was where it all began and that alone makes it a monumental list in his career. 

6. Top Eleven Favorite OST’s  

Music is the sound of the soul. And after spending almost the entirety of the list making time, plowing through one soundtrack after another this list is one thing. It is comprehensive and ideal if you want to know what music he loves most. 

5. Top Ten Underrated Characters

Gems are always hiding out there in any medium and we love seeing someone to take the time to pick out what they find to be under seen and under loved. A nice humble list of the best of the forgotten.

Anime roots can be a funny thing for us all. I know a girl who discovered an anime by listening to people on a bus talk about it. Origin stories never get old for a reason.

What small portions of the whole of his anime watching career were the best? Well, this is the list for you then, if you want that answer. 

2. Top Ten Anime I am Thankful For 

Showing thanks is a tradition many of us do. This is the list that show’s Doaks at his most soft. A fragile man who loves anime for a personal reason. Delving into the heart has never been so grand. 

1. Top Ten Characters I am most like

If you want to fully explore how deep a person can be, ask them to find all the small facets of who they are? A list that is centered around self-exploration to share with the world is the finest example of how list making can be much more than a simple task. No, in fact it can be one of the most fun things you can do with your time. Go learn about yourself through your hobby. A novel idea isn’t it?

List 99: Top Ten Least Favorite Lists I’ve Done

The final two lists. They will be cliche. Have fun and look forward to more lists after the final two. I’ll mostly be moving to wordpress though and will just put those post in links on here.

Cliche. Lazy. And altogether unoriginal. What else could you expect from a guy who can’t even be bothered to fix his own typos. 

9. Top Ten Favorite Anime Characters

Severely lacking in depth and quality to the post, Doaks really dropped the ball on this one. Possible in future lists he won’t be such a meandering fool. 

8. Top Ten Anime Films

What sort of self-respecting creator makes a list about anime films without being at least well versed in them? Completely unheard of and suffers for it. 

7. Top Ten Tear Producing Moments

When the man himself can not cry, why make a list about it? Empathy can only get you so far without experience and it shows with his lack of confidence in his content. 

6. Top Ten Shows I want to watch but Haven’t 

The amount of research done here was the equivalent of a high school senior writing a paper. Bare minimum effort will get a passing grade, but are you really proud of that? 

5. Top Ten Anime that NEED to be made

Need is a click bait word if I have ever seen it. Without a full comprehensive look into the genre this list will always remain completely forgettable and underwhelming. 

4. Top Ten anime to watch during summer

There are four seasons we live through each year. To only focus on the obviously most popular one is lazy and shows a severe decline in his list skill. 

3. Top Ten Favorite Faces

Who even cares about such a stupid idea in the first place? Funny faces are juvenile, noncontent, and altogether just a waste of the readers time. 

2. Top Ten Favorite Hair

The start of what would mark the creators creative stagnation and utter demise. A whole slew of poor lists like this came to follow. 

1. Top Ten Red Haired Characters List

Exhausting each hair color, for what purpose than zero credibility as a list maker. Reading all of these is a waste of his life and talent. Get off the internet you fool of a took.

List 98: Top Ten Favorite Anime Songs: (Click the play button to listen to them!)

10. L’s Theme- Death Note

Have you ever seen the original horror classic the Exorcist? Well this song gives off strong vibes of that film and the intensity is real. It makes L feel like such an imposing force in Death Note. It’s just so memorable for it’s power. 

9. Next to you- Parasyte

Simple in execution but so damn emotional in use. This song is played numerous times in the series during some of the most incredibly impactful moments and I to this day always hum it all the time. I think it’s the most fitting song from the show and really I just love it. 

8. Blumenkranz- Kill la Kill

German/Japanese gibberish aside this is how you do a villain song. Rainbow Cunt’s theme is just so hard to not be enamored with while you hear it. You can feel her every growing narcissism through the song itself and I think it is solid in it’s own right. 

7.  Kimi wa Dare o Mamotte Iru- Rurouni Kenshin

Kenshin fanboy you say? Why yes that is me! I adore samurai stories and the melancholic routes their narratives tend to go down is something I really can’t stop obsessing over. The wind instruments bolstering this song just get me in the feels every single time I hear this piece and it makes me think, this is perfect Kenshin music. I love it and fight me if you disagree! 

6. Steiners Gate- Steins;Gate

Steins;Gate has a really cool and swanky OST. I rather love listening to it and while playing the VN I enjoy it more and more. This song sums up the terrors and mystery that is time travel conundrum Okabe fights against. Such a moving piece in a more harrowing way. 

5. Libera me from Hell- Gurren Lagann

Who the hell’s idea was it to put rap and opera into a song? And Together?! That is fucking nuts and the premise sounds awful but this song is brilliant in execution to be honest. It fits the Gurren feel so well. The idea of this can’t possibly be a thing I would like, but oh no I do, and it is so so so good. 

4. The Palm of a Tiny Hand- Clannad

Key always has a great solo vocal track in all of their anime/games. But the one from Clannad always gets me so hard. Gosh this song and anime are something I can’t help but relate to so much. Serious bias I’m sure but hey it’s my list you loons. 

3. Mushi no Theme- Mushishi

I will easily say Mushishi is a marvel with its atmosphere and music. And the main theme that holds all of those pieces together is so fucking dope. Weird word to choose in this moment I know. But seriously this is damn good music that makes you feel the energy and power of the mushi. I dig it. 

2. Space Lion- Cowboy Bebop

I fought two internal battles with this pick. I could put Julia’s song or this. This song has so much more to it though so I picked it. Then should it be my top pick or the actual winner? I still as I post this list could flop those two at any time. Jazz songs with the Sax basically make me cum at will and this is a gorgeous solo piece with some tribal influence as it continues. It pertains to the plot, it is fucking beautiful, and I am absolutely certain Bebop is just my type of music. 

1. Baccano no Theme- Baccano!

Well while the somber but pretty music of Space Lion’s jazz tunage placed second, I chose the eccentric and explosive Baccano theme as the winner. This song, gosh this song is just damn fun. I love fun, I know you do too right? Well when you want some music to unwind to, you have Space Lion, but if you want something to jam out to while you take on the world, go with this. At least if you don’t I will.
