A success does not count when you only think for yourself.
And that is why these lovely ladies made it all possible despite the differences we all have.
I would also like to thank Ms Tumaroy for always guiding us throughout the semester. Without her, a job well done will not go as planned.

As we were having our final pitching, the sense of rapid heart beating was so abundant that it could be heard by everyone. And by everyone, I meant all the students passing by. The first groups entered one by one, drawing us quickly closer to our turn. . It was indeed a wonderful experience to have taken GEC 16-The Entrepreneurial Mind course. Through ups and downs, added activities left and right, I can still feel the fire igniting as we step unto the final pitch. With all our sleepless nights thinking how to counter the possible questions until the very day we stood in front of the panelist, it was such an interesting journey. All throughout that journey, summarizes the learning process I have gone through. It is with great sacrifices that will help us set path to the destination we longed for.

Overall, the Lecture Series Program has undoubtedly brought impact to those who wants to get lured in the entrepreneurial mind. As I myself was fascinated how it really works with all the help of the speakers, not only I, was determined to do my best in order to achieve what we want in life.
When there's an opportunity, a grab is all it takes for us to get to our starting point.

The final speaker for the Lecture Series Program was Dr. Gema A. Dumancas, whose subject was Intellectual Property Rights and Technology Transfer. All of the wealthiest men in the world today have made their fortunes by employing the use of intellectual property according to Mark Getty. I now see why it's important to safeguard our intellectual property. And just like with land, the goal is to control, appraise, monetize, transfer, exclude others, and claim ownership over the rights we have to our own property. As based on Republic Act No. 9168 that provided about the nine intellectual property rights which includes the patents, utility models, industrial designs, trademarks, service marks, copyrights, and related rights, as well as layout designs with an example of topographies of integrated circuits, geographic indications, undisclosed information like the trade secrets, and new plant varieties.

Mr. Amel Arreglade, the CEO of the GeoPindot application from "Project Luwas," was the second speaker. A pilot testing and simulation exercise for GeoPindot, a smartphone app developed by the DOST-UP Mindanao-supported firm OBXS IT Solutions, was conducted in the Municipality of Cantilan. 2021 April 6–8: Surigao del Sur. He showed us the GeoPindot app, which is incredible. It is an offline smartphone application that enables users to contact an emergency response team inside their local government or request emergency assistance (LGU). OBXS IT Solutions had been watching and documenting the use of this program by the Cantilan Emergency Operations Center for six months, he continued. Additionally, the app enables Cantilan fishermen to contact the Philippine Coast Guard in case of emergency. It can help the police and the Department of Fire Protection strengthen how they deal with disturbances and fire emergencies.

First to enter would be Engineer Bronson Mabulay, a director of Innovation and Technology Solutions Division, USTP-CDO. He talked about the "Introduction to the Startup Ecosystem." As he stated, the startup ecosystem is made up of individuals, startups at various stages, and all sorts of organizations working together in a place whether it is physical or virtual, to establish new startup businesses. The reason for this is that entrepreneurs stimulate economic development by introducing cutting-edge technologies, goods, and services, therefore he also said that "as an answer to the requirement of growing entrepreneurship in society, citizens should be trained to start enterprises." Existing businesses are forced to become more competitive due to increased entrepreneurship competition. The startup under the student incubation program is the last thing that most fascinates me. As this will help each starting entrepreneurs to strive harder to overcome the goal they have in mind.

A passing time is beautiful to those who makes it count.
It's so nice to hear such validation. With all the different ideas and concepts our group had made, we were able to go with this as we put ourselves in the shoes of our future costumers. The very reason why we chose to have a facebook page for medical supplies goes back to every nursing students who took up BS Nursing as I was, to help myself grow and nurture my mind to be the nurse that people can rely unto.
With the different struggles we may encounter here in Central Mindanao University, I can truly say that it will never hinder away our passion to be better for the future that awaits.

Life seems uncertain but with those we look up to, we find reasons to go on.

She is the person responsible why I took up nursing. No pressure intended, but my ate is my role model. Ever since we were young, I always look up to her. And now she is close to where she will be, a 4th year student nurse in the making. At first, I contemplated whether to interview her or not. But the answer's looking up to you. I understand her concern that what if some products are not "legit", and that's how we will make sure that once we make up our idea, it will be ensured with quality.

To be acquainted is something but having to share moments with them is a lifetime.

A lovely lady who I get to share my life in SHS. It's nice to have reconnected to those I once shared my ups and downs. She is a BSBio 2nd year student, who has a good voice and movement. As she steps unto the laboratory classes, I assumed that she will definitely need some medical supplies. And that's how I managed to have her as one of my interviewee as well. As she struggles with certain problems in CMU, she is still giving out that jolly vibe as I closely watch some of her facebook stories. Despite hours of classes, walks to market and limited areas to relax. Being able to chat to her again feels like a lifetime ever since. Although she has concern of our proposed idea, I can totally agree with her. There will never be assurance unless you saw it for yourself.

A good judgement brings out success but a bad judgement helps improve.

A 2nd year nursing student as well, who is close to me. Back in our high school days, I remembered she always wanted to be a dentist. Now, she is progressing to be in that field. And as hard as it is now, she never lost her focus to achieve the goals she wanted. That is why I chose her as one of my interviewee. Not only does our idea suit her validation but I believe she has good judgement in all things. And as she said, "mas accesible pud siya kay makabalo nasad ang mga students kung unsay available nga supplies..." That being said, it is widely helpful to us pre-med students to know what can be bought and what cannot.

Convenience is what we need to improve our self in need.

As I was scrolling through my messenger looking for someone I can conduct my interview, I found my friend online. Immediately, I clicked on her account and asked her if I could do my interview. Gladly, she said yes. She is also a 2nd year nursing student but in a different section. I decided that since, our proposed idea is all about medical supplies I thought it would be best to interview with the same person who would likely benefit our idea. With that being said, her validation is a step ahead of our proposed idea. Not only will it bring convenience to all but a means to do better despite the struggles we will face.
