okay so this is basic video game protagonist stuff right, but I love the reading of Henry taking on basically every single minor errand or chore in Bohemia not because he's just a good bloke (although he is) but because he NEEDS to keep busy in order to not fall to pieces.

like, this man NEEDS to run from A to B and fetch shit and fix things and sort out disputes between friends and acquaintances and strangers because if he doesn't, he's left alone with his thoughts and his ghosts. And when he's asleep, he KNOWS he's sure to be haunted by his past, so he basically only sleeps to conserve energy for taking on more tasks. I tend to think of the one perk that lets you conserve energy and nourishment longer as more or less canon, because I think Henry pushes himself beyond his limits on the daily, just to not have to be at a standstill for too long.

Again, that's pretty standard traumatized protagonist stuff, but other characters in KCD even comment on the frequency of it, marveling at how this young man finds the time to do so much and help so many people.

I was gonna start the new Deltarune chapters, but it looks like my demo saves files no longer exist (should be in appdata, but they're not) and I would honestly hate having to play through chapter 1+2 again, so...

does it like, refer to a default save file if you start the full game from chapter 3 and onwards? I could definitely live with that. I didn't beat any of the optional bosses, so 🤷‍♀️

KCD2 is so fun but I'm so bad at the combat. I've literally spent most of the game so far (I just finished the wedding quest) just avoiding solo melee combat altogether 🥲 if the game forces me to fight at any point going forward, I'm fucked.

I finished KCD1 and I'm obsessed with Henry. What a little lad. Sopping wet baby boy of a man.

Then i immediately launched into KCD2 and WHAT DID THEY DO TO MY BOY. They gave him the haircut of a PROTAGONIST. I'm gonna have to spend all of my hard-earned groschen at the barber, this cannot stand.
