Serious ask now; do you use a particular site for your reference images (Mainly curious about poses and outfits and whatnot), or do you just use google images?

Honestly, it used to be pinterest, but that site is... questionable at best, especially these days, so I try to use stock photo sites mostly. I like the ones with video stock as well, since it's easier to get more candid looking reference from pausing a video rather than a pre-planned photo.

I know it’s common sense that artists use reference photos but it’s still so enlightening to see how you started with a reference for your farcille art! It helps fight my demon that says I gotta do draw everything from my mind JSHDHDDHS

ngl, I definitely think I'm taking certain shortcuts by using references the way that I do, but especially human interaction can be so varied and complex that it's definitely easier for me to envision a piece when I have something to work off of. And I tend to also always alter the reference slightly to fit my tastes (like making heads/limbs bigger lol), but getting the overall pose and interaction down quick via reference is definitely my go-to.

From one artist to another, do you ever have the feeling that a piece is just fighting you tooth and nail?

Oh for sure! It's a 50/50 whether I want to keep fighting a piece tho, since I'm pretty impatient when it comes to my art lol. But I do find that if I still think a piece has potential but it's just frustrating me to work on it in that moment, taking a break from it to do something else tends to help.
