Opened a Print Shop!!!

Exciting news! After many years of saying I want to open an online shop and never doing it, I finally did it! My first online shop ever!

My shop is on INPRNT, which offers high quality art prints, canvases, acrylics, and cards. It's print on demand, which means all I need to do is upload art, and they do the rest!

I've always felt guilty that I haven't been able to offer prints or merch to followers who don't get the chance to see me on the rare con I attend. Especially given that I had to drop my only con this year, Anime NYC, I really wanted to do something. But I'm also in no position to manage my own store at the moment. I hope this is an ok compromise!

Regarding my art:

I tried to put up a decent assortment of art from all of my past fandoms (YOI onwards; no BH6 bc that's a bit too old for me ^ ^;). Most of the things I've had available as large prints at cons, or that I've offered as part of a Patreon promotion in the past, I've tried to include. I tried my best to pick things that I think will interest people the most!

It'll likely be easiest to find what you're looking for by looking at the Collections tab, which is what I have linked at the bottom of this post. I've sorted collections by fandom, and currently offer the following:

[BF] = Banana Fish

[OP] = One Piece

[Others] = All other fandoms that were never my main fandoms

[SW] = Star Wars

[YOI] = Yuri on Ice!!!

Each art is also labeled with the year I drew it. Part of this is for your reference, but part of it, let's be honest, is me going I know it doesn't look as polished/looks considerably worse than what I draw now! Please be kind, I drew it 5 years ago and it's the best I could do at the time! I still included these older works to give folks the option.

Please also note that this definitely isn't a comprehensive list of every art I've ever drawn. I think 86 different illustrations is a fair number to start out with though!

I'm nearly done with part 2 of Aim but the weeks since I started this next GO comic have been... hectic to say the least. In good ways as well as not so good ways.

I'll be posting part 1 publicly this Sunday but if you're itching for regular updates I would suggest joining my $2 tier on Patreon if you can! There I'm posting all of my WIPs for each panel so at least you get some regular content other than comic silence. 😅

Otherwise, until mid to late November, I can't make many public post promises. I'll do my very best to post weekly/biweekly but the rest of October into November is shaping up to be a whirlwind of life madness... Weekly Update #162 - Patreon

Alright, today, it's finally time to talk about that other thing I've been working on recently, which I've alluded to in the previous two updates. It's something I've been thinking about for a few months now, going back and forth on the idea, but now we have decided to actually go through with it!

Of course, the title of this posting already gave it away and, if you've checked our Twitter over the past few days, you might have already seen it there. I am, of course, referring to the launch of our Patreon page.

I won't be going into too much detail as to why we have decided to join Patreon, as there already is a rather lengthy description, detailing our reasons and goals, on Patreon itself. So please take a look at that if you've got a moment to spare. It would be very much appreciated!

As of right now, there are two postings available. A poll through which you can decide who will be featured on this year's Halloween artwork, and the first Patreon-only blog post. It contains some information and a design sketch of one of the four suspect characters appearing in GENBA no Kizuna. Needless to say, we will eventually introduce this character publicly as well, but certainly not within 2017. So if you want to get an early look, you can do so on Patreon.

Generally, that's what Patreon will be used for. To give you very early looks at things we currently work on, and to share stuff from my archive, which I never ended up showing publicly. I'm usually too shy and embarrassed to share WIP pics or sketches (basically anything that's not 100% finished). But I'm trying to force myself to change that for Patreon at least.

So, what else can you expect? A bunch of old artwork, like very early SHINRAI sketches, for example (dating back to 2011, so that is gonna be really embarrassing to share, ahahah...). I'm also planning to share some assets like sprites and backgrounds of the VN projects we've worked on before SHINRAI and give you an in-depth look at how we started out our VN dev journey. And of course, we will also start sharing early demo versions of GENBA soon. So, if you're up for it, you can help us with bug testing a little before we make a demo publicly available later this year.

There is definitely a lot more to come, even in regards to SHINRAI's sequel Withering Without Hope. So I hope that will be something for you to look forward to and which will make it worth your support through Patreon.

I'm quite honestly not too sure how to handle all of this, as I'm still new to it. I can't really say how many Patreon-only blog posts there will be a month or when exactly they will be up, so it might be a little sporadic at first. However, for now, I will try to at least post two each month.

As for the art polls... Since we started a little late with it, the current one will end on October 7th. But eventually, I want those polls to start at the first of a month and last until the month is over. So, during the first two weeks of a month, you will then get to see WIP glimpses of the artwork until it's finished.

Of course, just as mentioned on Patreon, we're open for suggestions as well. So feel free to let us know what you'd like to see!

Currently, our main goal is to save up enough to eventually hire a new composer. Once we can do that, I will be formulating further goals to add to the goals section on Patreon, but for now, I think that already is quite a goal to set, so let's see if we can reach that first.

I actually wanted to get out a few more words in regards to the situation with our composer, but seeing as this has already gotten a little longer again, I will talk about it next time.

With all that said, I would like to thank everyone who has already made a pledge! It is truly appreciated and we're very, very grateful for the support! Even now, after all this time, it's sometimes really hard for me to comprehend that people actually enjoyed SHINRAI so much that they'd even go as far as supporting us to this extent. It's crazy. Full list of Tier adjustments + other general content changes for October on my Patreon

So I know I've been talking about some changes I'll be making to the Tiers all month, but here's a final big comprehensive post about the final changes, and the exact wording of the new Tiers starting tomorrow. There are a few big changes, and a few minor ones. Many of the changes are made around my concern that I've been burning myself out with $1 content without providing enough to higher Tiers, along with the realization that as important as they are and how necessary the $1 Tier of pledges is, I unfortunately cannot sustain myself on them alone.

I hope all of the following changes sound fair. Quick list of big changes:

- NSFW Comics will be moved from $1 -> $5 Tier. NSFW illustrations will remain on the $1 Tier. I still plan to maintain my goal of one NSFW post every week, and comics and illustrations will likely switch off every other week. On weeks that have consecutive comics, I'll take one of the NSFW frames from the comic and put it on the $1 Tier without context, so $1 Tier folks WILL get at least one NSFW illustration every other week.

- Weekly Inferno pages for the $20 Tier. This is to hopefully push myself to work more actively on Inferno, even if it's bit by bit. The goal is at least one page a week, though once I get rolling it'll likely come more frequently. The images will be low resolution and watermarked like public posts, and will be available to all Tiers and publicly once the full chapters are done. High-Res versions will eventually be available for download to the $20 Tier.

- Story spoiler Headcanon posts for the $20 Tier. These will be only text form, but rambling headcanons about story elements in my AUs that I likely won't be able to get to in comic form for a while. My immediate plans are to dump some Future!Verse stuff in the Rewind Future era (post canon timeline, pre-getting together), so like the rest of the Yurio Presenting arc (since i dunno when I can finish that), Yuuri and Phichit's past in Detroit, etc. all the way to how they got to deciding they'll have a poly relationship, and possibly going into HCs about their various engagements/weddings. All of this stuff has been long planned out since before I started posting about this AU publicly and I had been hoping to draw it out in comic form, but until then...Here. NOTE: that these will not be concrete ideas, and I may still change them considerably before cementing them in AU canon through comics.

- Hypothetical store access. So I'm still kinda eh about adding this in the Tiers because I have yet to actually open a store, but the itch to create merch has been getting stronger. As a new merch seller though, I at first need to ensure the quality and production process of any merch I make, so any first rounds of merch will be extremely limited quantity (I'm talking single digits). If I deem the merch to be sellable professional quality, I'm offering it to you guys first. I'll make it available to $20 patrons first, and if it doesn't sell out within a few days (I'll set a time limit) I'll open to $5 patrons, then $1 patrons. Any larger pre-orders I do thereafter will likely also have a set limit because I doubt my ability to manage large orders, and patrons will always have access to those before the public as well.

- Tutorials/concept art - Were originally big things in the $5/$20 Tiers, but I've found that I haven't been able to produce much in these categories. If and when I do produce them, they'll likely be available in the $5 Tier, UNLESS they have major long term story spoilers, in which case $20.

- Advance access to major comics for $20 deleted - I just don't have enough of these to really feel it's relevant as a Tier reward, and with Inferno pages going up as I draw them, it seemed redundant so I took it out ^ ^;

AGAIN, if you would like to downgrade/delete your pledge due to these changes or for any other reason, please wait until your current pledge has been processed on October 1st.

Announcement regarding Patreon Tier adjustments for October, 2017

So I made an announcement last night on Patreon regarding some changes I hope to make starting NOT THIS MONTH, but next month. I’ve copied the message below to those considering becoming patrons. LONG, so beneath a cut but IMPORTANT so please read if it’s relevant to you.

Hi all!

So I've mentioned this before, but I'm new to patreon, as many of you likely are too, and a lot of this is figuring things out as I go. I'm learning the platform and learning how to manage my works on it, and I feel I know a lot more about Patreon now than I did when I first started 1.5 months ago.

One of the things that has changed a bit is me learning that I'm not really producing the kinds of content I thought I would be.

Namely, I never really expected myself to enjoy drawing NSFW so much (COUGH) or that I'd be drawing full NSFW comics, sometimes fully lined to the quality of stuff I'd post on Tumblr. I expected to stick to mostly rough sketch illustrations only. But in general, I've discovered having some sort of short story/character interaction makes it a lot more fun for me, which I should have expected, knowing me >.>; . And hopefully these are more fun for you too haha! ^ ^;

Unfortunately, these comics take up a HUGE amount of time, usually 2-3 days (anywhere from 15-30 hours each _:(´ཀ`」∠):_), which means I have no time to do much of anything else. Combined with the 1-2 other Patreon posts and my public posts, my schedule is completely full, if barely manageable (with a guaranteed burn out at the end of each week HAHA!!).

I've also been stressing quite a bit because I haven't had time to work on Inferno at all, which I feel some of you may be here for. Inferno is, in the end, my BIG serious story that I'm heavily invested in, but because the chapters take so dang long to produce and are honestly so exhausting, it's easier for me to work on Future!Verse where I can produce lots of less stressful, shorter posts with immediate feedback. Immediate gratification is so sweet OTL

But all this sorta sucks because it means that I feel I don't have enough content to thank my higher tier patrons. I originally meant to do more tutorial posts and world building posts, but I haven't had the time to make them. Sure there are request/poll posts, but I personally don't feel that's quite enough to thank patrons nor enough to exactly motivate people to pledge when almost all my content is $1 ^ ^;;

I've also done a lot more exploring of other people's patreons to see how tiering works and I've noticed that I seem...to be posting a lot more, a lot more regularly than many other patreons, even taking out all the Also Public posts (which I never post unless I also have a Patreon Only post to upload at the same time). And all available at the lowest tier too, which other patreons usually do not do.

While I'd like to keep most of my work viewable to as many patrons as possible, and I really love the community I have here where so many of you leave such incredibly kind and motivating comments (thank you!! ;A;) I've learned that I also need to balance this with a desire to thank higher paying patrons, as well as the need to actually support myself through here if I want this to really be my main form of income.

While I truly am so incredibly grateful to all $1 patrons and your pledge DOES mean a lot and has added up, I also get that because my content in general targets a very niche audience (minor YOI ships, complex AUs, OCs), I don't and shouldn't count on the number of patrons alone. I uh, also figure that most people'll only pay what they have to in order to see what they want, which is totally fair and reasonable, and I hope you feel my art/time/effort is worth the price ^ ^;

As such, I think I will make the starting changes, which will come into effect October:

- All NSFW comics (things like currently, Minami's birthday, Yurio x Yuuri + watching Vic, and Phi x Yuu x Vic) will be moved to $5/Silver medal tier +. Again, this is a type of content I was never expecting to produce, hence why it is currently not marked for any of the tiers and simply placed in $1 by default. Upcoming NSFW comics include All husbands x Yuuri, Chris x Yuuri x Vic sandwich, and Yurio x Yuuri x Otabek sandwich.

- All of my single standalone NSFW illustrations (currently, Vic x Yuu x Yurio, Phi x Yuuri) will remain on $1 tier.

- All of my WIPs/sketches/abandoned works/New Kids stuff will remain on $1 Tier, so there'll still be 1-2 of these every week. This is what I had initially promised on the tier description to begin with.

- I will still post ONE NSFW piece every week, most likely alternating between $5 comics and $1 illustrations. If I end up doing comics almost every week, I'll take one frame from there and put it in the $1 tier ^ ^;

- I am setting a goal for myself to post at least ONE page of Inferno from my upcoming chapter every week onto the $20 Tier. While I usually prefer to wait to post pages until the whole chapter's done so you can enjoy the entire story experience as I mean for people to read it, I'm hoping this more short-term goal will regular deadlines will motivate me to actually work on it at all, and that the more limited audience will still let me save the suspense for the rest of my readers. ^ ^;

The upcoming Inferno chapter is in two parts, the first currently set at 7-8 pages, the second around the same. I will not be posting publicly until they're both complete, as I don't want there to be a large gap between posting the two.

The individual pages will all be posted at public resolution + watermarked, so if you have the patience you'll see it all regardless of your tier ^ ^; But I AM also hoping this will mean a more constant stream of content for $20 tier.

Again, none of these changes will be put into effect this month, so you'll still be able to see comics at the $1 Tier until October 1st! ^ ^ If you're $1, please enjoy them all this month, and if you like them and want to see similar/want to support me more in general, please consider upgrading to $5 next month!

If you decide to drop being a patron/downgrade your Tier as a result of these changes I ask that you please stay until you are charged for this month on October 1st. If you leave before then, I will not receive any payment, but you will already have accessed all of my currently available patron-only content. It's a really shitty system Patreon has here, but I'll do my part and work very hard to provide you a full month's worth of content including everything you signed up for as no changes will be made this month, and in return I'm sincerely hoping you'll do your part too and not be an asshole (a rather heartbreaking number of people didn't last month >.<;). So please wait until you've paid your promised pledge if you decide to leave.

If you wish to upgrade, you may do so at any time ^ ^;

So to recap, Starting October:

- $1 Tier - at least 2 posts per week. Sketches/WIPs, new kid posts, NSFW illustrations likely every other week

- $5+ Tiers - NSFW comics at least every other week, request + poll, tutorials (I WILL do at least one each month orz)

- $20+ Tiers - Weekly Inferno page, additional request post, at least one HQ download, some more concept stuff (I will also do at least one of these each month orz)
