Do you re-render your own arts? I never did that. Before that day, yaay! But last week I played on my druid. I never really liked druids mechanics, but now… i get it? And more - I liked it! HUH??? So, I took that old sketch of mine (from 31 may 2024) with my druid OC from WoW - Vybora Wrathfang and just… updated it? And fixed one mistake that bothered me A LOT - because i forgot scar tissue in the first version.

All the process i took in the video, sadly without first variant, but still - I can promise that it wasn't any AI or whatever, just me and my hands. Sometimes messy, but hands. Haha. I'll post first version of art under that post with video process <3

Thank you for tagging me 🤍 I should said that earlier but your story behind the name is really poetic, i love it! AND SOLAS PART TOO. THAT’S BRILLIANT.

And i am sorry for that late reply heheh sometimes i got lost in time………. and ofc sorry for chaotic text next hahaha

Basically i’ve been known by different nicknames, but stopped searching when I found THE perfect one. I think (and hope) I won’t change it again.

“Solarsal” in the first place was a name of night elves’ ruins from an island near Feralas (World of Warcraft). That was the place that… i liked when i was a little child, and so much! Haunted ancient ruins with a lot of secrets and enemies, yaay 🤭

I decided to honour that little memory years ago by naming one night elf-mage like that place. But later, maybe just year ago… I decided to change my nickname on it. It wasn’t quick decision, i swear! But my last nickname was literally unspellable: so, it wasn’t really comfortable to communicate with people sometimes besides texting. I think that’s all of ‘true story’.

But i feel like i should add extra-context about my Lavellan too. She’s also Solarsal, like kaldorei mage of mine, because… she’s a dalish elf, a mage… lmao. Basically adapted oc from another universe. Not the look, but a lot of things they still share.

But when i got to prologue of inquisition… ohhhh what a pity that y’all couldn’t see my face when Solas introduced himself! I was like “HUH WHY ARE YOUR NAME ALMOST THE SAME 🤨🤨🤨”. I decided to keep it like that, why not: just think how many situation (funny and not) it could create. In my head and ofc in art!

well NA is the initials to my real name so it started from there. many people irl also call me by Na instead of my real name (which i lowkey hate and it doesnt even sound like me, even my friend said so, ig its just trans thing) so I just use it online too. also, N/A is abbreviation for Not Available which if im being honest is my mental state most of the time lmao, and actually my handle was notavailablenarc for a time.

Then the nana part is a reference to the manga Nana because of course i love it as a young weebo millennial.

And one last thing is narc which could be short for either narcotic or narcissism, and i love the idea of both. narcotic as in subtances that consumed to alter one's state of mind, which is what art itself is to me. while narcissism to me is the idea that everyone deep down is narcissistic and selfish to a degree, and while it's an ugly thing to have it's inevitable and we just have to accept it.
