As someone who has actually studied the English language there's a common phrase about English that kinda annoys me because while it makes for a funny haha line it's such a gross oversimplification that it actually ceases to be funny. It's the one that goes "The English language is just three languages stacked on top of each other wearing a trenchcoat" or something to that effect.

I'm not going to go into detail as to why that sentence is inaccurate, just take my word for it as a person with a master's in English. I suggest we withdraw this expression from usage and replace it with the much more accurate "The English language is a dirty little slut that loves it when other languages cum big loads in it"

Is there a reason to why Chloé never asked or realized that Marinette was supposed to have the Ladybug earrings?

She has conveniently forgotten this since it's something she should 100% know, since she stole the earrings directly from Marinette's purse.

Chloe's the kind to rewrite history into making her look the best. And she's been doing it since "Lady Wifi".

What if instead of the Ladybug miraculous, Chloé got the cat miraculous. Would that change how she acts in SL au?

It would be way different if Chloe got the Cat instead of the Ladybug.

For one thing, she has the destructive power, not the creative one, so she wouldn’t be as beloved, especially if she tried to go off on her own. She’d be reckless like Chat but fueled by fury rather than a free spirit that’s excited to be out. Chloe’s used to using other people’s power but now she has her own. So she’d be wild and loose. 

But Ladybug has always been the critical thinker. She’s the one who fixes things and ultimately defeats the akuma. She’s the ones that people are calling out to for help and she’s the one who gets most of the praise. And Chloe doesn’t like being second banana.

So it could go two ways.

She could go full anti-hero/full antagonist. Trying to not only 1-up Ladybug, but to sabotage Ladybug. If she can prove she’s better, people will love her, right?! Nope. She’s already on thin ice for destroying buildings and not caring about collateral damage (LB can fix all that, why should she care?) but making it harder for Ladybug to cleanse the akuma? She would be hated. So she might as well go full tilt and hate Ladybug. Might as well become the villain until she can get rid of the competition. But this wouldn’t end well, if Antibug and Queen Wasp proved anything it’s that Chloe as an opponent isn’t very formidable for Ladybug. Ladybug would eventually retrieve the Cat Miraculous pretty easily. It’s only a matter of time. (Chloe would be pretty much the same as SL Chloe in her personal life, except way angrier all the time).

Or she could go the other way. The apprentice way. The way that if Canon Chloe currently got the Miraculous, she would act. She’d look and listen to Ladybug, figure out how to use her power conservatively, she’d practice at home to be a better fighter, she’d learn. And Ladybug would appreciate that effort. Ladybug defends Cat!Chloe as her partner, let’s everyone know they’re equals, let’s everyone know how hard she works. And Chloe would see that when she puts in the effort, when she puts in the work, good things come her way and she has pride in herself that feels deserved. And it would make Chloe less dependent on her Daddy to fix her problems for her, and would really put into perspective how “deep” her problems are.
