            LUCA   felt   awful   for   the   people   in   the   accident   but   it   brought   up   some   old   feelings   that   he   couldn't   push   past   so   instead   of   going   to   the   pit   to   help   ,   he   was   going   to   an   on   call   room   with   a   nurse   in   tow   .   he   needed   to   just   get   something   out   of   his   system   and   then   maybe   he'd   be   ready   .   he   turned   the   corner   with   his   hand   in   the   nurses   as   he   tried   to   avoid   any   eye   contact   with   anyone   when   he   saw   someone   familiar   coming   toward   them   .         ❛                        i'll   be   down   in   the   pit   in   --   twenty   minutes   or   so...         ❜                           he   hoped   no   questions   were   asked   but   since   he   was   holding   the   hand   of   a   nurse   ,   he   was   sure   that   questions   were   going   to   barraging   him   at   any   moment   .

With her phone losing battery, she decided the easiest way to get home was ordering a ride. Maybe not the easiest, that would most likely be calling someone for a ride but she didn’t want to take attention away from the people who needed it - so ordering a ride it was. Until she went to take her phone from her pocket and found the only other thing she had on her missing. “No, no, no…” Muttering to herself, she walked as quickly as she could back to where she’d initially been sitting - pausing when she had to stabilize herself again. Crouching down to look under the chairs, she decided to forego looking for what she needed and went straight to trying to feel for it. Hearing footsteps behind her, she reasoned there was no harm in asking a simple question despite not bothering to look to see who was there. “Have you seen a panda keychain anywhere? Kinda important.”

Luca was born to an Italian mother and an American father in Seattle, Washington. The first couple of years of his life with his biological parents were uneventful but things took a turn when they were involved in a car wreck when he was just shy of three years old. Unbeknownst to Luca, his parents died on impact and he was left in the car with his deceased parents for quite some time while the emergency services arrived. Social workers were summoned to the hospital and Luca was found to have no existing family, or none that would take him in at least. As luck would have it, he was dealt with by Arizona Robbins. Arizona and her long term wife Callie had been looking to adopt another child for several months and despite Luca’s tragic loss, they felt as though they had found the child that needed them the most.

Luca was in temporary foster care for a short time before he moved in with Callie and Arizona and it was still just over a year before they were able to formally adopt him. Luca settled into the family well and whether it be from repression or his age at the time, he slowly forgot about his biological parents. He was shown so much love by his new family and over time was grateful for what they had done in adopting him.

Luca's parents never hid the fact that he was adopted, it was of course somewhat obvious and they explained to him as he got older what had happened to his biological parents and although it made him a little sad from time to time, he was more just thankful that a family as good as this one had found him. Luca grew very passionate about all things medical as he spent a lot of time in the hospital with his moms. He has always been fascinated with plastic surgery and looks up to Mark Sloan as a complete role model. Luca is now an intern and he is loving it. He is definitely still leaning toward Plastics but will give anything a try.

Luca is a little grumpy at times but he puts this down to his lack of sleep during his intern year. He makes a point of taking his moms out for dinner every month and absolutely adores his entire family.
