New money American cheese is exactly what I was thinking, I just couldn’t think of the words to explain. They’re like Jeff Besos Cheese. Standing on the backs of historical hardworking cheese, but revelling in its own acclaim and popularity and comfortable existence. But the cheese is more likeable than that dick.
And - with notable exception such as some types of Parmesan, who while aged still has enough kick to be well liked - that’s hilarious. I love that.
do you think cheese has feelings? and do you think if it does have feelings the amount of said feeling is dependent on the milk per cheese content? so american cheese would have no feelings/extreme feelings and that weird maggot cheese would be in constant agony?
YES. Absolutely I do think so.
The milk content theory makes complete sense to me. A very reasonable argument. I think if I were cheese I’d be much much happier/neutral as plasticky American cheese, and if I was maggoty cheese I’d definitely be feeling the weight of the world while I’m being eaten alive by it.
There may be a correlation between milk content and the lived experiences of different cheeses as well. Because low-budget American cheese will lead a very different life from fancy over-priced snooty cheese.
Like those individually wrapped slices of American cheese have it so good. They’re in the cheese world equivalent of first class. They’ve got their own little section, unbothered by the other 48 strips of cheese travelling with them, protected from the world. They don’t have to feel anything, because the world isn’t impacting them. The threat of being eaten isn’t a problem until it happens and that’s over quick. And until then they’re safe and sound and totally untouchable in their own sheets of plastic wrap.
For fancy French cheese that has to mature for 40+ years: that cheese suffers. That cheese is left alone in a dark room to decay. Nothing but it’s thoughts and the physical feeling of expiring. It can feel the milk inside it slowly rotting, the maggoty kind being consumed and festering with these little parasites squirming around inside it. It’s be like hell on Earth. For all those years of solitude.
You know The Four Noble Truths of Buddhism? Life is suffering? American cheese is fleeting, so it’s suffering is minimal. Maggot cheese is weathered by its own existence. That cheese is full of milk and pain.
Hi! Love your blog!! I wanted to know if you had some ideas about how to create quick chemistry (trust+physical) between two characters who just recently met. Thank you so much!!
Hi Anon :)
Thank you so much!
How to create quick chemistry
The secret behind a quick connection between two people is a shared experience.
This experience can be huge or incredibly small.
Let's go with huge first.
Two people who've never or just recently met get caught in a sudden tragic event. They share the strong feelings they have because of that event that no one else who wasn't there can ever fully understand, which automatically makes them feel like they also share a lot more than they actually do.
It's doesn't even have to be tragic or a near death experience. It goes with any shared strong emotion, which could also be happiness because of them winning something together, for example.
And it even works with smaller emotions.
Think about a party and two drunk people getting into a fight in the corner and it's so ridiculous and you look around and there is that one person that also sees the fight and they look at you and they roll their eyes and you share a laugh across the room. You basically became friends for a second there.
It's all about shared emotions.
They feel this connection between them that can easily fall apart again as soon as they get to know each other better, but this small feeling of understanding the other person will probably stay.
you ever have mutuals who are way cooler than you so you perpetually feel like a little kid who’s somehow gotten in the good graces of a really cool teenager and you want to talk to them whenever you can but youre still kind of terrified of them
