Rooster - Alice in Chains

It's been a long long time since I last posted any songs on this blog and I must admit it feels good to be back!

Lately, I've turned myself towards the old school rock and heavier bands because to be honest, I missed these heavily distortion riffs and powerful breakdowns...as Ozzy says:"You can't kill rock and roll", right?

Here we have a genious sound from a very well known band from Seattle - Alice in Chains. Rooster is the name of this treasure and just try to feel the power and depth of this song when you listen to it. Perfect to let those energies run through your body and relax.

Definetly a never dying classic, which is best enjoyed with a beer and singing the lyrics till your lungs can't stand no more.

Street Bangerz Vol.2 - Gramatik

So, it's sunny and the wind is cold. It´s a holliday in London maybe that's why Gramatik is in the playlist.

Gramatik is known to produce chilled out beats with a jazzy vibe behind it. I guess the simplicity yet awesomeness of the songs makes it quite essential for us who listen to never skip a tone. 

Very smooth album, just let it run through and by the end you won't even realise how fast it went by. Enjoy.

Becoming Harmonious - The Glitch Mob

I've only known about The Glitch Mob for less than a year but they always succeeded at amazing me with their music. A group of 3 talented geniuses from L.A combined together to create epicness in sound, really! 

"Love Death Immortality" is their second and latest album, which came out 2 weeks ago. It has had a great impact and has room for a lot more. You'll find an album that flows so easily through itself with deep and intense drops, harmonic melodies and something extra that is hard to tell, but that is up to you to decide!

Duas de Cinco - Criolo

Ok, fodeu, tou viciado no Criolo! Yup, another one from Criolo and this time it's called "Duas de Cinco". This single is still a baby since it's been out for only 4 months. It has more than 135k views on soundcloud so there is greeeat potential!!

Sorry again if you don't understand Portuguese, believe me, what he talks about and how he composes his rhymes and how somehow it fits perfectly with the chilled yet dark groove of the beat...just epic, epic and epic!

Again, here we have a music that allows you to think about many things while we bang our heads slowly to the beats of this masterpiece.

Grajauex - Criolo

And now for something completely fresh and groovy, you have the beats and flow of Criolo! Coming from São Paulo, Criolo has a lot to sing about and he successfully transmits his passionate energy through influences of Música Popular Brasileira, Funk, Soul, Rap and Blues. His album "Nó na Orelha" (2011) is filled with impressive variations of styles which will guide you along an entertaining journey!! 

For those who don't understand Portuguese, I'm sorry. Hopefully you enjoy "Grajauex" nevertheless! Definetly a piece to listen if you are feeling cheerful and in a good mood drinking an ice cold beer on whatever you may call, home.

Olson - Boards of Canada

Boards of Canada, actually a Scottish duo, reached a proclaimed image in the electronic, mystical, transcendent scene with the album "Music Has the Right to Children". The album is filled with melodic and peaceful tunes although in some tracks we can feel the sense of chaotic and stressful display of our daily routines.

"Olson" might be short but it is still very effective, specially when we find ourselves daydreaming about that certain place or space of time we all have in our memories. Ideally for some nice and quiet moments, alone or with friends, on a beach, at home, drinking, smoking..just feel relaxed!! Definetly, a piece worth checking out!

Coming from his first album "Doggystyle", Snoop really went for everything here. Back to the days when it's an 1-8-7 on an undercover cop, this album clearly defined him as Snoop Doggy Dogg, the true G that we all know. Definetly a piece to remember and to kick it back with the homies.

May be old and known to some but it's definetly a piece worth listening to. "Long.Live.A$AP" is the album and what an album it is!!! Songs run with great flow filled with mellow tunes and harmonies. Perfect for a nice sunday evening chill..
