you guys are so fucking weird with your ageism .. when most gif makers and resource makers are in their 30s

i've met some 30+ rpers who are just genuinely really obsessive and parasocial about the male fcs they play, but that's an exception, not the rule, hence why i said a portion. there's a portion of writers like that under 30 as well, but in my experience they are 30+ more often than not!

i have zero issue with people of any age rping as long as they have a healthy relationship with it and treat people right. oftentimes, this archetype (like the co-admin in question) don't fit that bill and are making everyone else uncomfortable with their projections on their fav male celebs.

30+ writers and resource makers are welcome in my book! just not when they're writing drew starkey eight times over lol!

of course she was the co-owner of the server!!!! i genuinely don't understand why some people don't just write 1x1s or small groups w their friends bc WHY would you think a whole ass group wants to read ur eight drew starkey characters?! goofy to me!! i have many beloved 30+ writer friends, but there is definitely a portion of the 30+ demographic who are giving clubchalamet which is UNFORTUNATE. all THAT being said i hope that the good eggs in the obx community find a fun place to write !!! if it exists out there in the tumblr void!

I was once in an outer banks RP that had EIGHT Drew Starkey OCS, all played by the same person. three of them were identical triplets of Rafe and then the other five were just random

OH???? purple heart for u my friend im sorry that was ur experience... i-- this gave me a good laugh imagining eight drew starkey's running around but if i was in that situation i would've been PISSED. i have SO many questions why does rafe need two identical triplets?!? why did this person need to write drew eight times over in one group?!? WHY did the admin allow this (unless they were the admin lol). wow! that SUCKS!

i feel like what interested me in outer banks way back when it premiered was the slice of life vibes and the class divide dynamics but it seems as the showrunners lost track of that, so did the obx rpc! it has so much potential to be a fun world but rpers and the actual writers are just shitting on it. that's nutty! feeling #grateful i haven't dipped my toes into writing those characters if that's what it's like !

disappointed but not surprised!!! unfortunately i l*ve outer banks. do i think it's a good show? no! is that my little soap opera tho? yes! but the more and more i learn i'm glad i've stayed away from fandom spaces if this is how poc cast members are being treated. in my own experience i can say i feel like EVERY group i lurk or i'm in either has a rudy/drew face or a player that has had rudy/drew faces in the past. meanwhile i've only encountered ONE jonathan daviss fc in the wild.......that should not be the standard. i've been rping Longer but probably been sporadically active in the tumblr rpc since 2020 and i hate that these conversations still have to be had! jonathan and carlacia i hope you find such incredible success the community cannot ignore u anymore <//3

hi, just checking the rpt tag and saw your posts and um, I'd like to say that I agree it's super weird about Carlacia since uh I had never heard of her. I mean I don't watch Outer Banks either, but like... I've heard of literally every other person from the show so that should be opening to everyone else getting all up in arms at you over your frustration. I agree like everyone else has been giffed up and down so in a way I don't think it's a case of "you need to commission" it's like why hasn't anyone done it just because??
