They are more tragic than what we were made to understand, and probably their lore would have had more to offer if it was expounded. I would like to think that the story told in the game was just a façade to the truth — even Kurt dropped a hint about the cons of searching for it.

Like how So Mi died when she was taken in by the FIA, Rosalind died when she was sworn in, and every person who got involved with her followed suit. If we take Myers’ uniform as reference, it is a fitting symbolism of death — remarkably elegant but seemingly suffocating that even Rosalind wanted to get out of it.

Now, to explain Kurt’s part in this — it is already given that these two worked hand-in-hand behind the curtain. And I would reaaally like to think that these two shared a special relationship apart from business. Just like Reed, his loyalty to Myers brought death upon his doorstep, which he intended to happen. So, what’s the uniform got to do with him? Remember, as told by Song, no one in the institution gets to decide for themselves including Rosalind, and this system spills over down to the lowest ranks. There is actually a shard about Jago taking over Kurt’s wake. Hansen wished to be cremated, but Jago decided it would be best to put him on display — and this very uniform was put on Hansen.

To stitch it all up, Hansen has finally joined Myers in death hence this shot.

Don't take me seriously I am insane for doing this tbh 😂 all of this was born out of my curiosity as to why the colors (Blue and ivory) and gold accents in their uniforms uncannily match one another
