american leftists seem extremely focused on anti imperialism (good) but rarely- if at all- discuss decolonization in their own fucking country, despite acknowledging that it is a settler colonial state.

All that is a factor, but it ignores the main problem: capitalism. We live in a system in which we are forced to choose one or another between kids and career if you are a woman. Women still have the most of the responsibility of raising kids, having to do it alone or with a man that most often than not will not help much, if at all. Then it is fucking expensive, ever more, to have kids. When women have kids in this late stage capitalist hell, they are literally putting themselves at an incredible risk of poverty, if they are not there already. And now we have enough autonomy and education to be like "Hey, why would I do this? Why bring children to this world who I won't have a way to raise comfortably? Why create miserable human beings, while making myself also way more miserable?" I am the oldest daughter of a single mother. I literally grew up FEELING on my skin how difficult it was - it also robbed me a lot of my childhood to have to help my single mother as an older sister. Why would I submit myself to that now as a grown woman? The problem is not that educated women don't want to have kids. The problem is that educated women realize that having kids in this capitalist society is hell - for them, for the kids - and so they avoid it if they can. And that's also why women are the oldest opressed group, because no one would make women pop out kids like there is no tomorrow unless you take her choice away. And the ruling class always wanted high birth rates, because it is workers who build wealth and soldiers who defend and women who give birth to both.

The only thing I've been finding some relief in, amid the international fascist takeover, is playing TTRPG games. I know escaping to fantasy worlds doesn't solve any problems, but at least it allows me to breathe.

This is from page 20 of Elliot Rodger's manifesto.
This man we were talking to… he patted me on the back and told me that I have a great life ahead of me. With a grin on his face, he told me that “in the next ten years, you’ll have a great time… a great time”. I had no idea what he meant by that. I wasn’t even thinking about my future at that point; I was living in the moment.
Now I know what he meant. Childhood is fun, but when a boy reaches puberty a whole new world opens up to him… a whole new world with new pleasures, such as sex and love. Other boys will experience this, but not me, it pains me to say.
This is a major reason why so many men struggle with loneliness and lash out at women because of it.
Boys are often promised unconditional success with girls. Elliot Rodger, when he was just 10 years old and wasn't even thinking about his future, was promised something that he wouldn't be able to live up to. He was told how awesome his teen years will be, specifically about his experiences with girls. There was no mention of any disabilities he'll have that hinder his social skills, no mention of any bad habits he'll have that turn girls off, no mention of any times he'll be bullied, no mention of any heartbreaks he'll experience, and no mention of any trauma he'll have to cope with.
Girls, on the other hand, are usually not raised the same way. From a very young age, a girl is often warned about all the bad things boys her age or even grown men will do to her. She's usually warned about that from her mother who experienced the same thing when she was teenager and also from her father who spent his entire life denying how horribly society treats women until he has to protect his daughter from that. So when she has bad experiences with boys, she's usually prepared for it.
But boys are taught to expect girls to like them without ever learning how to be likeable.
So if you're unable to figure out how to get women to like you, don't be angry at those women for rejecting you. Be angry at the men who gave you unrealistic expectations and a false sense of hope.
