Hey guys 👋🏻 I haven’t forgotten about you all or my favorite stories, just been super busy with school and work (and a toddler that’s going through the terrible twos) 😩 I miss Simblr so much! Hopefully I can catch up on my faves within the next few days & have a new chapter up🤞🏻🥰

She places him down and exhaustedly makes her way to the “bathroom.” She feels crummy after eating that homegrown pineapple and still hasn’t gotten much sleep due to the fire.
Mochi must have the same idea because he instantly falls asleep—again.
Holly is so tired that she practically nods off where she stands. It’s been a long, hectic day and she just wants to rest.
She finally drags herself to her tent, and of course Mochi immediately senses her absence and moves closer to be near her XD.
They’re sleeping so peacefully that they don’t even realize there’s a predator watching them in the distance…
Welp, it seems that another wild animal has wandered its way onto the lot and this one is certainly not as nice as a koala bear. I guess we will have to stay tuned to see what happens next 😉 (Sorry if this chapter was rather boring and straight to the point, I’m just trying to move this challenge along since it’s taking forever to get through this thing lol)

Meanwhile, Mochi sees no sign of Holly and makes his way back home to find her. (I’m telling you he literally follows her back and forth across the island all day 😆 I think it may be because he’s sick?)
Holly sees him shaking off and goes over to apologize. She feels bad about blowing him off earlier and knows she shouldn’t take her anger out on poor Mochi; he’s just an innocent animal that has been nothing but kind to her since day one.
Not to mention he’s still extremely sick and his condition only seems to be getting worse, so he needs all the comforting he can get. It’s yet another reason why she needs to come up with a way to get out of here. She has to find a cure for Mochi and she surely won’t get it on this barren island. She has to come up with an escape plan…
He still stinks to high heaven…
But hugging him gives her fuzzy feelings and instantly makes her feel better. She doesn’t know how she would keep her sanity without her furry companion.

“Woosah, woosah,” she repeats to herself, pulling out the lump of clay to soothe her nerves. (Poor girl, I’m surprised she hasn’t died from anger or had one of those emotional deaths by now 😅)
She takes all her animosity out on the poor lump of clay, punching and beating it into submission.
Until she ends up with this…concoction.
Which just makes her even more irate.
“What am I supposed to do with this piece of crap?!”
Hey, you made it!

Hunger gnaws at Holly once she finally makes it back home, her stomach growling and rumbling and begging to be fed.
“NEED FOOD!!!”
She comes across the gift Mochi left her and it turns out to be a Purple Pursuer Action Figure. (Really Mochi, an action figure? You had one job!) Well, at least Holly seems pleased by it…maybe she’ll have something to give her future kids.
She also has a fish to roast but she’s still so traumatized by the fire that she doesn’t want to go anywhere near it. She begrudgingly settles for a pineapple instead.
But after taking a bite, it immediately backfires on her…
(I’m not sure how to stop this from happening?! Is it her Squeamish trait or does she need a higher level in Gardening? Idk but she always gets sick from eating harvestables 😭)
Ugh, what else can go wrong at this point?! She’s so steamed up that she angrily stomps on a nearby pile of ash.
“Grrrrr!”
Which just causes an even bigger mess. Oh, Holly…🤦🏻♀️

Mochi finally gets closer but Holly is too angry and impatient to wait up for him today.
Which seems fine by him, because he heads to the waterfall by himself for some relaxation.
Lol aw. Poor thing has been through a lot but he’s still the same easygoing koala we all know and love.

Holly is done with showering and is currently kicking her feet in the water, practically dying from boredom.
She is in dire need of amusement. Its been almost a full week of no entertainment, no electricity, and no human interaction—what is she going to do with herself? How is she supposed to live like this?!
And her constant overthinking certainly doesn’t help matters. There are so many questions going through her head right now and most of them are pretty negative. Is she really destined to be stuck on this island for the rest of her life? And most importantly, how the hell is she going to get out of here?! She needs to come up with a plan, and soon.
“What did I do to deserve this?”
But the self pity soon leads back to anger.
“Stupid fucking island,” she mutters to herself.

She raises her underarm to her nose and sniffs, her lips wrinkling back as if she’d caught the business end of a skunk. Oh, the stench!
Her bladder is also teetering on red and she stomps over to the bush to take an “angry poop”, whatever that means.
Holly is still ashamed that she’s had to resort to such repulsive acts.
In true Mochi fashion, he falls asleep right under the smelly bush—he can literally doze off anywhere at anytime.
All the mayhem must've made Holly disoriented, because she’s even more clumsy than usual (if that's possible.)

THE CASTAWAYS | 1.11 | ANGER MANAGEMENT
We’re back on the island after a fiery chapter that went terribly wrong. Luckily, Holly was able to save Mochi, herself, and the campsite from the wrath of the flames.
The aftermath has left the place full of soot, ash, and dirt. It’s like an ominous dark cloud is hanging over the lot, reminding them of the deadly inferno that took place here not too long ago. Holly is grateful that they were both able to make it out alive…
But of course, she is becoming increasingly angry by her icky surroundings and just the whole situation in general.
She’s so irate that she suddenly gets the urge to stomp in a puddle and let out all her frustrations.
“Gahhh! I hate this stupid island!”

Hey I just read all of your post and absolutely love your storyline and the way your writing it all. I tried this challenge before and my sim got into day two peed her pants and then died of embarrassment even though there was no one there to see her. But reading your simblr makes me want to try again.
Omg RIP to your sim 😳😭 I’m honestly surprised Holly hasn’t died yet, it’s been so chaotic trying to survive on a deserted island. You should totally do it again tho, I think it’s such a fun challenge! And thank you so so much for reading it all, I’m really glad you enjoyed it ☺️❤️

He’s a little shaken up but luckily he’s able to make it out alive. (What’s funny is that the fire actually seemed to burn all the dirt off of him, lol?)
Holly has a surge of confidence after saving Mochi’s life. She feels like she can take on anything! Facing so many dangers on this island has made her strong and self assured; she’s no longer the weak helpless girl she was before.
“I will always protect you,” she assures Mochi before running off to face the rest of the flames. It wouldn’t be the first time she’s saved him from danger; in fact this is eerily similar to their first encounter.
(I just had her extinguish the whole thing at this point, it was getting way too hectic and didn’t show any signs of letting up. Also, I couldn’t afford any chances of her or Mochi almost killing themselves again. I’m all for letting things play out but we haven’t even started the legacy yet!)
The aftermath of fighting fires has left Holly dirty, angry, and uncomfortable.
This easily tops the last few “worst days ever”.
And to add insult to injury, it’s getting colder at night and she has nothing but flimsy rags for clothes! Sigh. Let’s just try this again tomorrow.

He too literally walks straight towards the fire!! Again—WHY ARE SIMS SO DUMB?!
And of course, he faces the same fate as Holly. His little cries and whimpers were honestly so heartbreaking. This whole ordeal really stressed me out. I didn’t even know pets could catch on fire?!
At this point, all rules are off. She has to save Mochi!
Holly to the rescue!

This is when things quickly start going left…if you remember correctly, there was a fire on the lot before but it never got this big or lasted this long. This one wouldn’t stop spreading and it legitimately had me worried.
What makes it even worse is that I stop controlling Holly for one second and she goes straight towards it! And of course it spreads even more and catches onto her. Why do Sims act so dumb during fires?!
Holly can feel nothing but the continuous cycle of pain, heat, and the sensation that someone is ripping her skin off! She tries jumping around, she tries patting herself down, but nothing stops the wrath of the hot flames.
It was at this point that I had to renege my rule of not using the fire extinguisher—we can’t have our founder dying on us already! Let’s just pretend she found it somewhere amongst the island, kay?
My laptop froze (again) but now she’s singed, stinky and covered head-to-toe in soot. Great.
Mochi, how can you sleep under these circumstances?!
Unfortunately, I spoke too soon. I thought the worst was behind us but it’s only just beginning…🤦🏻♀️

The campfire has started a real fire!
Holly quickly scoops Mochi up, making sure he’s safe in her arms before running off to safety.
Then she proceeds to lose her marbles as the fire spreads even more out of control!

“Okay Holly, just calm down...light a campfire, everything will be okay,” she tries to assure herself. At this point she’s almost becoming numb to the frequent threats that are common on this island, and all she can do is try to move past it.
Missing all the excitement, Mochi finally makes it home and splashes water all over the place…
Then he proceeds to eat from the very spoiled plate of fish…
And throws it all up—ugh.
“Woosah, woosah,” Holly murmurs to herself as she stretches out the lump of clay. She’s trying to find new ways of dealing with these stressful situations, haha.
Mochi eventually falls asleep and Holly decides to catch some zzz’s herself.
But the night is not over just yet…

As soon as she treads water, she instantly starts waving her arms and freaking out.
“Get me outta here!!”
With the memory of the shark encounter still etched in her brain, she makes a run for it as soon as her feet hit the sand. She doesn’t want to risk the chance of coming across one of those again.
(I guess she just said to hell with poor Mochi lol)
But even though she thinks she’s safe on land, there are still other creatures that lurk in the night…
She hears the flapping of wings and looks up to a frightening scene. Bats! Plasma bats, at that! And they’re coming straight towards her!
They quickly descend on her and proceed to attack!
“Ahhhhh!” she screams, ducking down in an effort to evade them. But it’s too little, too late.
(It was at this moment that my computer froze but I’m sure you get the picture lol)
Being a plasma source for bats is not cool. Not cool at all.
