what makes little women (2019) special to me is that it’s not really a love story. it’s about women being women - and they’re not made strong by their masculine traits like most women in Hollywood are. Meg March is a mother, and embraces her femininity in a way I haven’t seen expressed in the mainstream in so long. we’ve forgotten the power and strength of women simply being women — a quiet yet unshakeable quality unique to our sex. little women (2019) is about 4 women with different paths in life - and it makes sure we know that each of their destinies is valuable and important.

When Meg said: “just because my dreams are different then yours doesn’t mean they’re unimportant” — that quote punched me in the face. Thank you to Greta Gerwig for understanding something which apparently modern feminism has forgotten.
