As we all know, Web elements are present diversely (Dropdown, Check Box, Text Box, Radio Button, etc.) in a Web page. And locators are our saviours, right from helping us identify a Web element uniquely within the page to enunciate its HTML properties and informing Selenium about the action to be performed. For example, the Dropdown mandatory field “Highest Qualification” is not with Select Class in the Web page. It is difficult to find the Web element for that field.

To resolve this, one may use Xpath Locator and find the element for the “Highest Qualification” field. Also they should try to select the Dropdown field value “Masters” making use of the Action Class. You can find the script but in that, using the Action Class to find the element for the mandatory “Highest Qualification” field will not be fruitful. You may have to apply the Contains text method to find out the element for the Xpath. Identifying Web elements is always a sensitive area and mandates a precise attitude. Therefore, we would suggest the more effective your locator, more secure will be your test automation script.

okay so theres an episode of whats new scooby doo where the gang goes home on valentines day, and i guess the studio really wanted to avoid the implication that daphne and fred were sleeping together because daphne and velma live together and fred lives with shaggy and scooby

Role of Effective Documnetation in a Software

While Agile Manifesto states “working software over comprehensive documentation”, you can notice that it doesn’t completely rule out the need for documentation.  It emphasis on ‘working software’ as the primary objective and ‘comprehensive documentation’, as a secondary one and certainly not a needless one.

Agile or waterfall, good concise documentation , whether customer facing user manuals or installation guides or specification requirement documentations for developers and analysts, helps software users big time in these challenging times.  However, many developers consider documentation as second to the last step in the project life cycle. The truth is no one wants to write it or about it and consider it a futile effort that gets in the way of the real work. Many future problems can simply be averted if documentations are given their due.
