I love these photos taken for CDW's EdTech Magazine (Nov 2019). I flew out to Odessa, TX to photograph Jason Osborne at an elementary school. He is the Chief Innovation officer for Ector County ISD. They are very lucky to have him in their district. He truly makes science exciting and fun. . This was 4 years ago. The day was not calm. The day was not going right. Long car ride was not fun for pregnant @sojlee_. San Fransisco gave me the middle finger with some ass kicking wind and rain. The fog decided to join in on the fun. . I was reminded of these photos today. Most of my recent days feel like this particular day. I can't see very far or even see straight. Many things are knocking me down and keeping me down. I feel defeated. All of the imperfections are in my way. . COVID kicked my ass and back. The forced pause was difficult. But one thing came clear. I lost all of my passion for photography, mainly love of making photos. Few days ago, @sojlee_ "kindly" told me that our son doesn't have any photos. I took more photos of my clients' kiddos than my own little guy. She reminded me that I stopped taking photos altogether. . I stopped picking up a camera, unless a client paid me to do so. I stopped sharing my work, unless it was for marketing or being done by someone else. I was embarrassed for my work each and every day. Passion was traded for income. I was really close to calling it quits with photography. . Today, I am struggling and working to find joy in photography again. I carry a camera when I can. I look at some of my old work to see what I took or forgot about. I am working on being ok with imperfections and not worrying about what others think. I am taking more photos my lovely lady and #abe윤lee. . I don't know where this will take me. You might see all kinds of photos. I will stop following all of these unwritten rules on what and how to post. Aside from his incredible talents in the medical field, I really loved how he was so kind and patient with us while we photographed him. Everything took longer since the photo involved an operating room. From putting on a full body suit to setting up lights while he waited for us. Aside from his incredible talents in the medical field, I really loved how he was so kind and patient with us while we photographed him. Everything took longer since the photo involved an operating room. From putting on a full body suit to setting up lights while he waited for us.
