how do you feel about netflix’s atla cast?

I LOVE it. All four of them seem extremely accurate (and the actors are also qualified in terms of martial arts abilities). I’m pleasantly surprised and honestly don’t think they could have done a better job

Hiatus

I’ve loved ATLA since I was 3 and I’ve seen the series probably 12 times now. During ages 15-18 my life was heavily saturated with ATLA. Enough so that I became the biggest ATLA blog on Tumblr, designed and (briefly) released merch, and was friendly with just about every big ATLA blog on this platform. I had more than I ever expected; however, it got to the point where I lost motivation because there was nothing greater to achieve. I peaked and I was burnt out. I had made just about every meme I could think of over the course of three years and my content was beginning to be repetitive so I lost a lot of interest in producing content.

This year I explored different interests and currently I’m introducing myself to Star Wars and it’s exciting and new (the feelings I felt when I first joined the ATLA fandom) and earlier this year I dipped into the walking dead fandom. Honestly I’m just doing what I like now and right now that’s exploration.

Thank you guys for 4 wonderful years. I’m so grateful for the following and the love I got. This isn’t necessarily goodbye forever because I’ll check in every once in a while but I don’t see myself making a full return any time soon. ❤️

During quarantine I lost a lot of motivation to be honest and despite knowing I have the time to run this, I just haven’t felt any inclination to do so. 2020 has just been a depressing year and on top of that I started college! Hopefully my motivation comes back soon and I get back to posting! Ty for checking up on me ❤️

Heard you're going to college. It will be hard at first, but give yourself about 5 weeks to really settle in and it'll get easier. By Christmas break you will be missing the freedom college gives you and your new friend group. Are you going to be online or on campus?

so I came to a realization while reading some stuff about ozai. bitchlord had the shortest reign of any firelord ever, but that isn’t the funniest thing yet. it was listed that the most notable victories of his reign was the surrender of omashu and the fall of ba sing se.

both of those were led by azula, not ozai. in short, his fourteen year old mentally unstable daughter did more in ozai’s seven year term than ozai ever did.

do what you want with this information. loserlord, indeed.

Woke: Kyoshi approving Aang not killing Ozai because she said "only justice will bring peace" and Aang taking the Firelord's bending was poetic justice at its finest, and the bloodthirsty Kyoshi is a fanon exaggeration

Daniel Dae Kim (known for his roles in Lost and Hawaii Five-O) is my pick to play Ozai in the upcoming Netflix adaption*

*note that casting has NOT begun for the live action as of May 2020

If Daniel is cast that would mean that he’d be in Avatar: The Last Airbender, Legend of Korra, and the untitled live action remake as he had past roles

His other roles: (General Fong and Hiroshi Sato)

BTW the only actor who has been in everything so far including both shows, the movie, and the video games is Dee Bradley Baker aka the voice of Appa, Momo, and more
