“average person eats 3 spiders a year” factoid actualy just statistical error. average person eats 0 spiders per year. Spiders Georg, who lives in cave & eats over 10,000 each day, is an outlier adn should not have been counted

Hot take: Actual literary analysis requires at least as much skill as writing itself, with less obvious measures of whether or not you’re shit at it, and nobody is allowed to do any more god damn litcrit until they learn what the terms “show, don’t tell” and “pacing” mean.

You know what? Fuck it.
The amount of notes that this post gets by the end of April is the amount of words I'll write for one of my books.

One of my favorite character archetypes is “person who already had their story before entering the current narrative and was so irrevocably changed by it that they are completely different from their past” because when we meet them we don’t know their past and they have their quirks and mannerisms and you think to yourself “aw that’s pretty cute that saying they just said”. But then you see their backstory and you see how Not Them they act, and you see how the people they used to know act, and you realize that those mannerisms you know and love come from all sorts of different people that no longer live. The tragedy of it all is so captivating

Nonbinary people have always had a presence in the many other branches of the queer/lgbtq community.
There have always been nonbinary lesbians, gay people, trans people, asexuals, bisexuals, and so many more.
To disparage any of those groups is to speak ill of nonbinary people. To scorn nonbinary people is to also hold any of those groups in contempt.
To have one you must be willing to accept the other.

One thing that's vitally important to remember is that feeling ''weirded out'' is not a form of harm. It is a completely normal part of socializing. It is the feeling of encountering something unfamiliar. In order to be a kind person, you must learn to how to distinguish between "harmful" and "weird." And then you must accept the weird.

The fact that this is also an unpopular opinion from what I've seen in this fandom is really bad, but the most tragic character in the show wasn't Zuko. It was Aang. You know. The literal sole survivor of a freaking genocide.
